Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2004 Heenan!? Last time I heard, the guy could hardly talk due to his battle with throat cancer, yet alone call a wrestling match with his usual enthusiatic manner. UYI
Perfxion 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2004 Tony: THIS IS THE GREATEST MATCH IN THE HISTORY OF OUR VIDEO GAME SERIES! Tony: <Insert wrestler> with a massive back leg front kick to <insert wrestler>. Knowing how they did Dynamite Kid and Hogan, Sting will be both the crow and the Cali blonde. Also, with the room still left open, they can and might add more wrestlers, I hope the Midnight Express get in it. And some puro stars, if they can get them. Seeing NJPW and AJPW do make games and some comps already own rights.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Sting confirmed for Showdown: Legends of Wrestling Nine-time World Heavyweight Champions Sting is the latest wrestler to sign up for Acclaim's Showdown: Legends of Wrestling. Acclaim Entertainment today announced that it has signed Sting to appear in Showdown: Legends of Wrestling. The nine-time World Heavyweight Champion will appear in the game alongside more than 70 other wrestling legends, including Diamond Dallas Page, Ultimate Warrior, Dusty Rhodes, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, and King Kong Bundy. "The addition of Sting to the Showdown: Legends of Wrestling supercard is something wrestling fans and Acclaim have craved since the brand's inception," said Brian Shields, brand manager for Acclaim. "Incorporating a wrestling icon of Sting's caliber further illustrates our commitment to creating an unmatched roster of wrestling legends." "To return to the ring as a legend is a huge thrill for me," added Sting. "I have read the reports and heard the rumors regarding my whereabouts. Well, let it be known that being added to the Showdown roster means one thing and one thing only for my opponents--the Stinger is back to rule the ring! Thanks to Acclaim, this June, all challengers will submit to the Scorpion Deathlock." Showdown: Legends of Wrestling is currently scheduled for release on PS2 and Xbox in June. DangerousDamon 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 STING!!!!!!!!!! Eh, I knew this for like a month already. The wonderful people at Acclaim screwed up their pictures on the website when they first showed DDP, and a picture of DDP elbow dropping STing.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm praying to God that it's improved and actually more solid this time. If this game has good gameplay, it will be an instant classic.

Guest JumpinJackFlash Report post Posted February 21, 2004 Any news on the gameplay? Well, I read an early look at the game and it says it's like Sean O'Haire. It looks good, but there are some flaws inside of it. They still have time to fix problems and improve. Doesn't matter, I'm getting this game!
Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2004 They pushed the release date of the game back specifically to fine-tune the gameplay issues that were still present from the previous game. To be honest, the first two titles in this series felt as though they were still in the developmental stages when I played them, so hopefully Acclaim have really looked into the issues that hindered the game before. I *really* want to like this game, but if the same gameplay problems are present then it is going to be hard for me to find it as appealing as I want to.
