pochorenella Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Pretty much what everybody else has mentioned, specially Spider-Man 2. The Man Thing movie looks intriguing, but it's extremely low-budget som I'm doubtful it'll be widely released. Maybe straight to video, a la Fantastic Four.
Insane Bump Machine Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Hauru No Ugoku Shiro, Dogville and an English version of Battle Royale 2 all have my interest. Just a warning: don't expect BR2 to be nearly as good as the first. It's actually a pretty terrible movie, I was very disappointed.

Maybe straight to video, a la Fantastic Four. Low budget doesn't always mean DTV. Studios should desire quality low budget films for the sake of the bottom line. All signs are pointing to this getting a US theatrical release. Lions Gate buying out the studio(Artisan) behind the film also strengthens it's theatrical release possibilities. It was originally scheduled for August, but has been pushed back to October. That's a wise move as it's bound to make more money. I mean if Ghost Ship can make good money in October anything horror related with good promotion can. I guess when production started Marvel wanted nothing to do with it, but after seeing footage put their name back on it. As always take any info from the internet with a grain of salt, but that's a good sign if it's true. Don't compare anything that could be good to Fantastic Four. Besides I don't think Fantastic Four was ever officially released to video.
Kahran Ramsus Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 (edited) I am most interested in seeing Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban, even though I feel it fits in more at Christmas time. Prisoner of Azkaban was the turning point in the book series and when they started to get really good. Besides, Alan Rickman is my favourite actor and his character plays a big role in the book. Guest Coffey Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 The only movies that I care about this year are Hellboy & Kill Bill Vol. 2, in that order. I suppose I'll watch both Spiderman 2 & The Punisher, although I don't expect much out of either one. I'll probably watch Walking Tall as well because I'm a big Christopher Walken fan.
