Ranthology: Analysis of a roster

Here's my happy medium: Fuck RVD AND Orton.

RVD: Sure, the crowd likes him, but he's been doing the same shtick for years (see also the Dudley Boyz) and he's just grown too stale.

Randy Orton:

Terrible Wrestler. This isn't OVW where you get 20 minutes to work a match step by step. He has to learn to work a faster, yet safe pace for 4:00 matches on RAW (which also sucks)

Sucks on the Stick: Unless he has a pre-taped angle where he does 50 takes, he's just brutally slow at delivering the point of the damn promo and trips over his own wording.

Heatless Fuck: I've seen better reactions for GERALD BRISCO in 2000 than I've ever seen for Randy Orton. The way he kills crowds for matches and run ins following his is pretty much an example.

Rocky Miavia Version 2.0

Sadly, it took Rocka bout 2 years to become awesome, and I doubt at the rate WWE is going, fans will wait that long for the schmuck to develope into anything meaningful.

"Analysis" is more than just calling Booker an asshole for wanting to retire at 40 from a job that beats him up consistantly. It's more than just calling Jericho "dead" for no reason.

You're making posts simply because you want attention, you try and claim that you've just got different opinions. Where you're asked to back those up, you make things up, contradict yourself, and make it painfully obvious that you just really enjoy the fact that you can start a 5 page thread filled with people talking about you.

Flaming who??????????

Flame....Baiting would be the better choice.

i.e. purposely starting a thread, praising someone 80% of the people here hate, defending him as awesome, and feeding the bullshit that everyone but him on RAW is "Dead" "talentless" or "I personally hate".

This thread is BEGGING for arguments that you looked to start with your shitty "Analysis", so your flame baiting went over pretty well.

He said "flame-BAIT." As in intentionally trying to get other posters to flame you.

Ok, Dave, so explain why Jericho is "dead" or why Booker is "an asshole". Let's make something good out of this conversation.

Indeed. I'm glad the only people in "the IWC" are Hyatte and Flea.

That's probably a better explanation than what I'm going to get.

Booker's not an asshole - i merely think that if a guy goes and announces he intends to retire in two years ; He should be buried and kicked out. A decent roster does not need people who don't want to be there.

Jericho's playing second banana to Trish Stratus. There's only so low you can go go down the Totem Pole.

And before anyone says anything about last nights Raw - I won't see it til I get back from Amsterdam

Two years is an eternity in wrestling. And he said five years, but the fact that in two years, Angle has gone from heel to face to heel to face to heel to face should say something.

Jericho is only 'dead' when he's no longer an option. And that's not the case yet.

Ever see a dead body and feel bad for it, but you kind of want to see if you can get a look at it, maybe take away a few neat facts for the future. That's about all I'm left with around here, and the sad part is it's so decomposed there's not much left to look at.

One day, fans might be fans again, people who watch things might enjoy them again, and professional critics will hopefully know something about what there critiquing and get paid for it. It's a day I will wait for.

I'm convinced he said two. My problem was he out and out admitted he there something he preferred to do besides wrestling - and THAT bothered me.

And as for Jericho -he can go from jobbing to Henry to winning the world title.......yokay then.

It's 2 years! You'd think they'd want to squeeze as much money making possibilities out of him before he's gone, not bury him for 2 years.

I enjoyed Raw last week.

I mean, in no way was it better than the best stuff ever -post Russo, but it was entertaining, and angles went somewhere

The first post of this thread is more evidence of that than the replies that followed. But since it praised Orton, I'm doubting you think the same.

Oooohhh, BAD example Mr. Journalist, Rock did just that in October-November 1998.

Dead implies that he will never be a main eventer again, which may be true, but it won't be because he "can't" be one.

HHH is going into the movies. Should he be buried too? RVD has a comic book store. Hogan has a restaurant in Minneapolis. JR has his own barbeque sauce. Jericho has a band. Even WWE themselves have produced Smackdown Records, the XFL, the WBF and a small film company.

When Booker starts dogging his performance and missing his dates to go on Florida vacations, you'll have a point.

Hey, don't blame us because the product isn't as good as it should be, considering the amount of talent on the roster.

But, hey, "it could be worse", right?

If he was jobbing, at least he could go "you got six months left Booker, nothing to worry about"

Besides, if Booker can survive his inital run in the WWE (everything pre-Goldust), he can survive anything

You are not alone. I can't wait until WWE turns around. They've shown small signs of doing just that in recent months, but they're not there yet.

I honestly would have conceded that - but, in the weeks befpre that, Rock didn't have a pathetic angle designed to draw in teenage girls shitcanned in a two minute skit that killed a crowd dead

And he's still second banana to Trish

HHH is trying to work around movies, or at least try both until he's burned out

RVD doesn't actively run the store

Hogan doesn't work for Vince

I don't care about JR

Fozzy is a side-project

mulletino heat, try figuring out the reasoning behind you assuming who my posts were directed at, you'll learn something there.

And no it's not your fault the WWE isn't as good as it was, it's your fault for continuing to watch as if nothings changed.

If you honestly think WWE thinks far enough ahead that retiring in two years is deterrent to their plans, I'm shocked.

Hell, Austin's last match was at Wrestlemania last year and they knew he couldn't go consistently and brought him back anyway.

The fact that you call yourself a journalist is an insult to real ones.

I'll give you my Raw analysis

Over=No push

(Examples-RVD/BookerT)

Not Over=Pushed

(Mark Henry/Randy Orton)

The only over people being pushed are Shawn Michaels and to a degree Goldberg.

People who wanna say Orton is the future are only doing so because of some chance he will actually get over thanks to the huge push HHH is going to give him so that they can say "See,I told you so"

Calling Orton the next Rock is like going back in time and saying Jannety is going to be the Rocker who makes it big.

I'd ask you to spell my username right but since you were so stubborn about the "your" in your custom title, I'll forget that.

As for the second part, I hope that wasn't directed at me. I really do.

I liked Marty Jannetty better than Michaels. He should have been pushed more damn it! (Cries self to sleep)

(sobbinG) Orton still sucks. (Continues)
