Guest The Imp Report post Posted January 21, 2004 During the Battle Royal on Monday night, they made refernce to nobody who was in the RR would be allowed to interfere in the match. Flair and Batista were down to the ring shortly thereafter. I was wondering if anybody else felt they may have botched the ending??? I was anticipating Batista catching Randy Orton and putting him back in the ring after Goldberg threw him out. Goldberg would've obviously had to turn his back in celebration. The booking of Goldberg as the dominant man seemed odd seeing as he has been non existent in recent weeks and it would have made sense to have Orton win to set up his heat with HHH. LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 To be honest with you, I totally thought they were supposed to catch Orton and just botched the ending. It just looked way to easy for Goldberg to just eliminate Orton with no problem. I definitely think it was botched.

I don't think Flair and Batista are in the RR match, are they? If not, this point is moot, isn't it? Jason
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 Still......I thought Batista would catch him. It just seemed like a fitting interference.

Jason Since they aren't in the RR, their interference wouldn't get Orton DQ'd...that's why I thought it was way to contrived to not be a botched ending... Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 I'd figured them being there would have been the perfect reason for Goldberg to get distracted and lose the battle royale. Much similar to the RR '99 ending.

Much similar to the RR '99 ending. That's my theory on what's going to happen at RR this year. Flair and Batista come out, distract Goldberg after he cleans house, Orton knocks him out from behind, and boom, Orton = winner. Unless they do that whole Benoit winning from #1 thing, but with Goldberg at #30... I'm not 100% sure that'll hapen
