NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2004 I am buying the PS2 network adapter today. My friend told me he has to plug it in when he wants to play the PS2, and then plug BACK IN the computer to the modem when he wants to use the internet. My question is. Do they sell something like a 2-in-1 jack for ethernet ports that I can plug into my DSL modem, that way I can have both the Internet and the PS2 Network adapter plugged in at all times.........Thanks
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2004 (edited) Like a router? I don't know how DSL works...but there has to be a router for it. I have a cable modem and can hook up my PC, Xbox and PS2 to the router and they all work fine. Edited January 25, 2004 by "Hail" bps21
MrRant 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2004 You would need a router. A wired one will run you about $30.

MrRant 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2004 They exist... about $60 for a B router and about 90 for a G router. What do you want to be wireless? You're computer or the PS2? The PS2 being wireless will cost more because you will need an wireless adapter (about $70) or an ethernet bridge (about $90). Having the computer wireless will cost you about $40-50. So figure a price point of around $100-160 total depending on what you want to do. Of course both being wireless will cost more. I personally at home have my Desktop, Laptop and Tivo are wireless while my XBOX is connected via ethernet to my router.
