WrestlingDeacon Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 I learned my lesson from last time. Here is the direct emailed question: "But for the question I had, I saw the kung fu movie on TV once, and I've always wanted to rent it, but I forgot it's name. Basically it's about two friends who enter some town, and one joins the army, while the other doesn't. The one's who joins the army goes on to become evil and they end up fighting. Do you know the name?" The description is real vague for me and doesn't ring a bell. Preliminary research uncovered nothing. Any info at all would be helpful. Thanks.
razazteca Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 I have a question is this movie asian or american? Any other clues given? I have seen it shown on Stars network several times late night, until there is a better describtion I can only guess. My big guess would be "Last Hurrah for Chilvary"
WrestlingDeacon Posted January 26, 2004 Author Report Posted January 26, 2004 The guy gave no more details. I can ask for more. Thank you for the help though and i'll take a look at that movie.
razazteca Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Little details like who was the main character and star of the movie would help. It could be anything from Billy Blanks to Richard Norton to Don Wilson to Bruce Lee clones
Guest DVD Spree Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Little details like who was the main character and star of the movie would help. It could be anything from Billy Blanks to Richard Norton to Don Wilson to Bruce Lee clones Man, imagine a movie with ALL of those guys in it. throw in BOLO~! and you've got a winner. Well, I guess Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are perennial B-movie actioners too, so why not add them to the mix just for fun.
Downhome Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 I don't know if this is the right one, as you don't have many details to give, but you just described Tai Chi Master (1993, Starring Jet Lee, Michelle Yeoh, and Chin Sui Hao) perfectly, as all of your details match up with this film. There are quite a few films that share the same details though, this one just seems like the best fit. Go to this page for some pictures of the film to show the guy to see if this is it or not.

You know what you are right! I have the DVD! but in USA under Dimension Home Video distribution it is called Twin Warriors As for DVD Spree they did make a similiar to what I described it was called Millionaire Express! But it had Cynthia Rothrock, Richard Norton, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao and others.
WrestlingDeacon Posted January 27, 2004 Author Report Posted January 27, 2004 Thanks for the help guys. That seems like a really good fit from what little bit he told me. I might try to check with him before I put it in the column, if not I'll be sure to have it in there next week. Thanks again.
Insane Bump Machine Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Twin Warriors/Tai Chi Master sounds like a good guess. And the film rocks, too.
razazteca Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Jet Lee, Michelle Yeoh, Donnie Yen can never go wrong with them.
DangerousDamon Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 Twin Warriors/Tai Chi Master sounds like a good guess. And the film rocks, too. I love that part where the guy wipes blood on his face and pretends he's dead so he doesn't have to fight. Awesome Action Movie.
Karnage Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Um, is it karate or kung fu? Lets not mix those up.
