Eclipse Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Well, in a couple of days, I will be getting the burner I ordered to backup most of my data before reformatting within the XP Pro CD. Now, before I even begin installing it, what should I do? I remember with the Win2000 installation, I had to DL like new drivers for my sound, my printer, my modem, etc. Would I have to do that for installation of XP Pro, or will it auto detect everything, and load up drivers for all the devices?
MrRant Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 I would download all the drivers to be sure as it may only get some. Better safe than sorry and a CDR is only $0.20
Guest Krazy Karter Posted January 28, 2004 Report Posted January 28, 2004 Always remember that if you have a 95/98 device that needs a new driver and can't find an XP one, look for a Windows 2000 driver. They work fine with XP.
Eclipse Posted January 28, 2004 Author Report Posted January 28, 2004 Well, I will just redownload drivers for the sound, modem, etc again....an XP Pro version. Anything else I need....well....I have no 95/98 devices on the system...
