Back from Smackdown in DC!

First match I think was a dark match. Johnny The Bull and Palumbo vs. 2 jobbers who were supposedly from DC. Decent heat for the "hometown" boys. FBI won, forgot how though.

Velocity:

Chimmel introduced "Josh Mathews and his assistant, Michael Cole!" which was pretty funny.

To be perfectly honest I don't really remember the finsihes to any of the matches, they were all pretty forgetable.

Akio defeated Funaki. Funaki got a good pop, we tried a "Jimmy Yang" chant but it didn't go very far.

Excellent report, but a couple of minor corrections. One of the two "local jobbers" in the FBI match was Boston area wrestler John Walters, recently of ROH fame. And Funaki defeated Akio on Velocity instead of the other way around. It was a solid show with the Rumble being the highlight. It will be interesting to see how they edit it for Thursday.

It was good to see London on the main broadcast. Teaming him with Kidman makes sense considering neither is currently in the cruiserweight title picture and the tag team ranks appear pretty thin these days.

Bring Back Charlie Ward, we were told the interval between entrances was 90 seconds.

Yep, and it's the best thing to do really...

Because then HHH can go over at Mania (which I'm sure is a sticking point for him) but it also gives us a better match (hbk/benoit) and The Rock/HHH always delivers anyways...

Besides Ric Flair...The Rock has no one else to face, since he won't put over any young ones (vince wouldn't sacrifice the rock for a Matt Hardy) and Rock refused a angle with Cena...

Mania will have a SIX MAIN EVENT set up

Angle/Eddy(wwe title)

Benoit/HBK(World)

HHH/Rock

Goldberg/Brock

Taker/Kane

Foley/Orton

If they decide to go with HHH/Benoit, Likely Shawn and Rock will have yet another ICON/ICON showdown...

Not sure why anyone would think Brock/GB will be for a title at WM. Why on earth would this be for a belt? It's Goldberg's last night in the company, do you think they would put him in a title match? He's only there to do the uber job for Brock, who can then take credit for running GB out of WWE.

Eddie has to win at NWO. But for god's sake don't just make him a transition guy to Angle...what's the point in that? Angle's had the belt enough times, we know basically what he can do at this point. Let's see Eddie have a gloriously cheating filled title reign.

The Tag Match with the Bashams and Kidman/London wasn't much.

Next Week Rey Mysterio's Music Video for his song on the new CD will air on Smackdown and his Song is No Way Out's Theme Song..

When Eddy came in to pick his ball, Rey came in and he had some boxer named Jorge(?) with him.

When Cena came in for his ball, he asked Dawn to reach down and grab his ball, and then Heyman came in and said something to the effect of "In my office Dawn doesn't grab anyones balls"...Then Rhyno came in and called Dawn Marie "Toots".

Rey vs Noble was better than the PPV match, IMO.

Rue DeBona (???) has a segment talking about Playboy..

WGTT in to draw balls, and Shelton goes to grab Dawns breasts but Haas stops him. Then some woman runs in and we run to the bathroom to find Eddy out and Rey Mysterio with the EMTs. Chavos walk in and Rey attacks Chavo jr.

Hour #2..

Eddy gets loaded into the Ambulance with Cole doing his best JR "this is serious folks" impression.

Lesnar vs Orlando Jordan...Brock seems to be stuck in mat wrestling mode as he does the same restholds from the PPV match. Wins it with the Brock Lock..

Rey and Dawn visit Walter Reed medical Center..Matt Morgan is in the thing too, so I question the "Earlier today" part. All of the people from the Medical Center are in attendence in "WE ARE MILITARY" shirts, obviously made and furnished by the WWE.

They do a piece about Kane/Taker and show the creepy video again, so if you missed it or wanna tape it, its in its entirety.

Times for entrances/eliminations in brackets are TV Time only, which doesn't include time taken up by commercials because I don't get commercial times. Times outside the parenthesis are estimates based on 2:30 commercial breaks and some creative math work and are supposed to represent the total length of the rumble as it would be aired with commercials, but this is probably not even close to being accurate.

Don't agree with Benoit/Michaels being a better match than Benoit/HHH. Not in the current situation everyone's involved with. If Benoit were heel than Benoit/Michaels definitely has a shot at beating Benoit/HHH but with the current face/heel structure, I don't really see it. You never know though.

Michaels is kind of a wildcard on where his posistion would be on the card. Flair perhaps? Angle? There's a good chance that Rock will team up with Foley to take on Orton and Batista so that seems to put Michaels and Rock out of the equation. But I can definitely see Foley taking on Orton one on one since a tag would really diminish the meaning of the Foley-Orton feud unless of course Wrestlemania is just being used to prolong Foley vs Orton to Summerslam or whatever.

Doubt Angle vs Eddie will be for the title although there's a little bit of a possability there. Either Eddie's going down at NWO or Angle's interfering.

Oops. I have a habit of reading over something. Thanks though.
