The Tino Standard 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 Nice to hear that he's feeling better and all, but studying tapes of English and Japanese stuff? Why? That's not the "WWE style."

In a way it is ... if Regal concentrates more on the mat work that starts matches off in Japan rather than the big bombs they throw in at the end. Certain British wrestlers like Doug Williams for instance also has a style that would work in WWE now since his most notable impact stuff is the Chaos Theory roll through German and a tornado DDT and the rest is a whole lot of mat stuff. </gross generalization of the skills of Doug Williams>
Guest JumpinJackFlash Report post Posted January 28, 2004 Regal is awesome when he's playing the old school heel, and being the great technical wrestler that he can be. He sucks when he faces off against Rikishi in a three minute sleeper on the opener of a lackluster PPV like Judgment Day 2001.

For a guy that size (roughly Rhyno's size...maybe a little taller) to hit standing moonsaults and SSPs...that'd be something. Regal at 224 pounds is surreal to think of...I mean, that makes him a WWE weight class crusierweight. If he's got the Japan style sorted, it should be cool to see him back.
