NWA:TNA- Revolution

Nice show. Kash/Styles was awesome as expected, and hopefully that made up for the less than stellar Sabin interview.

The new signings are interesting. Barry Windham could be good, or horrible depending on how much he's lost to age- so lets hope for the first. Can't say I'm an A-Train fan, but I trust you to make it work well.

Good luck.

NWA:TNA XPlosion Preview

It's just one week until Quest For The Gold...the card is set in stone, and now all that's left to do is watch the superstars of the NWA:TNA fight out their pre-PPV frustrations. Surprisingly, Don Callis has given both Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles the show off...possibly to avoid any retaliating attack from Styles after Jarrett and Kash's attack at the end of last week's show. However, four HUGE matches have been set in stone.

In the main event, four men will participate in a preview of the Quest For The Gold. These four men...Doug Basham, Raven, Kid Kash and Rene Dupree...are all entrants into the 30 men Quest For The Gold Match itself. As such, they'll be doing battle in a special Over The Top Rope Challenge. The only way to eliminate the opposition is to throw them over the top rope so both their feet touch the floor, and the last man standing in the ring will of course win. But it’s not just a win this match will provide…it’s momentum going into the Quest For The Gold Match itself.

The NWA:TNA X-Division Championship will be put on the line this coming Saturday…the champion Chris Sabin requesting a defence of his title to ‘prove a point’ to his doubters and to Paul London. TNA Chief Exec Don Callis set about finding a challenger, and came back with MLW and CZW star Sonjay Dutt as the opposition. Can the young Dutt upset the champion, and steal the X-Division Title? Or will Sabin get his wish, and prove a point to London?

Ahead of March 28th's Tag Team Championship match, representatives of the two teams involved will face off in singles matches...'The Wildcat' Chris Harris of the Tag Team Champs The America's Most Wanted going one on one with Kyo Dai's Jimmy Yang. After The AMW's recent victory over Kyo Dai, Yang will be keen to prove himself and Sakoda worthy of the upcoming title shot. Harris meanwhile will want to uphold the champions' honour.

And the fourth match features two more Quest For The Gold Match entrants going one on one. 'The Truth' Ron Killings has had his troubles recently with Sonny Saiki...but he will not be in Nashville this coming week. Killings will instead have to concentrate his thoughts on TNA Management's Legend. Again, momentum is the name of the game coming from this match...the winner will go into the Quest For The Gold with confidence, the loser possibly losing a lot of confidence.

NWA:TNA XPlosion

20th March 2004

Live from the TNA Asylum, in Nashville Tennessee

Commentators: ‘The Professor’ Mike Tenay and ‘TNA Chief Executive’ Don Callis

The pyro hits in Nashville on another late Saturday night, and we are once again live for XPlosion.

Tenay- Welcome to TNA XPlosion...another Saturday night in the Asylum, with Quest For The Gold looming on the horizon. Tonight...the build-up continues, with four big matches.

Callis- That's right Mike, tonight is about momentum gaining. With 8 days left until the big one, everybody knows tonight could help to propel them towards victory on March 28th.

Tenay- The X-Division Title is on the line tonight...plus, the Over The Top Rope Challenge and Ron Killings taking on Legend...

Callis- But, we kick things off with champion and challenger, Jimmy Yang and Chris Harris going one on one.

Singles Match

Jimmy Yang w/Sakoda vs NWA Tag Champion 'Wildcat' Chris Harris w/James Storm

A solid match, but nothing special. Both men brought down their tag team partners as seconds for this match, adding to the tension of the match. Yang busted out the gorgeous Asai moonsault of old for the biggest reaction of the match early on, and got a surprising amount of offence in during the match. Harris fought back and started to throw Yang about the ring, the Japaneseman bumping his ass off as ever. A vicious snap powerbomb would have got three for Harris if Sakoda had not distracted the referee. Sakoda and Storm then brawled on the outside, which distracted Brian Hebner. Eventually, as Harris blocked a crossbody and looked for the Catatonic, but Sakoda rolled into the ring. Hebner was still caught up with Storm, allowing Sakoda to nail Harris, and hit a vicious kick to the jaw. He then rolled out, and continued brawling with Storm...Yang hit the Yang Time, and got Hebner's attention...and the 3 count! Storm quickly rolled in afterwards, but Yang escaped...Kyo Dai escaping up the ramp happy with the victory.

Winner: Jimmy Yang by pinfall in 7:17

*1/2 (63, 52, 75)

Notes: Jimmy Yang gained overness from this match

Tenay- That could be a crucial victory for Jimmy Yang come Sunday week!

Callis- It certainly could be Mike...Yang and Sakoda now have a little more momentum going into their Tag Title match...

Backstage, Doug Basham is strolling around the backstage area, turning into the catering area where Jim Cornette is standing talking to a backstage worker. As Basham walks over, the worker walks off as Cornette smiles at Basham.

Cornette- Hey Doug...you ready for tonight?

Basham- Ready? Of course I'm ready...

Cornette- Great. 'Cause tonight, if you win this Over The Top Rope Challenge...you're the favourite come Sunday. Everyone will be fearing you on Sunday. And most of all...you'll have an even better shot of winning Sunday, and getting us that NWA World Title.

Basham laughs sadistically, as he and the tennis racket wielding Cornette walk off.

OR: 71

Notes: Jim Cornette's turn was completed, and he is now a heel. Jim Cornette gained overness from this turn.

Singles Match

'The Truth' Ron Killings vs Legend

Two of the contenders in the Quest For The Gold Match. Both have been on a role lately, and together they put on a fantastic match. Even throughout, Killings and Legend both went the aerial route during the match. After a fantastic 8 minute exhibition of wrestling from the two, it was a high risk move that swung momentum in Killings' favour, Legend misses a frog splash. Killings got a 2 of an axe kick, and another 2 after a diving crescent kick. After countering a hurricanrana with a powerbomb, Legend again went to the top rope. Killings caught him in mid air with a clothesline, before climbing up to the top rope and hitting the True Conviction to get the cover, and the clean 3 count.

Winner: Ron Killings by pinfall in 10:20

***1/4 (80, 77, 84)

Tenay- Ron Killings is going to Quest For The Gold with a big win behind him, and it's another impressive showing but ultimately a loss for Legend.

Callis- Yes...

Tenay- Don, you don't sound to happy.

Callis- Ah cram it Tenay, of course I'm not happy!

NWA X-Division Championship

'The Future' Chris Sabin © vs Sonjay Dutt

Another great match. Sabin came in looking very confident, and dominated the opening exchanges, humiliating Sonjay with the ease in which he did. Dutt caught some sparse offence, but all in all, Sabin was in control. However, despite the dominance, Sabin couldn't get the pin. Everything he did Dutt managed to kick out of. Slowly Sabin started to get frustrated at his inability to put Dutt away, until finally rolling out and grabbing a chair. Referee Chioda grabbed the chair, allowing Sonjay to catch Sabin with a dropkick. Sonjay finally got to use his speed and fight back, using some breathtaking high flying moves to rock Sabin. However, as he went for a springboard hurricanrana, Sabin countered with a weak powerbomb...but hooked the ropes with one arm...and as Chioda didn't see it, he counted the three to allow Sabin to retain.

After Sabin had been given his belt, the X-Division Champ shoved Chioda away, and started to attack Dutt again. As he did, Paul London suddenly sprinted down the aisle, rolling into the ring and hitting Sabin with a clothesline. He tried to escape, but London pulled him back and hit another clothesline. Sabin quickly grabbed his belt and scrambled away, as London checked on Dutt.

Winner and still NWA X-Division Champion: Chris Sabin by pinfall in 8:39

**3/4 (68, 48, 88)

Notes: The NWA X title has gained in image

Tenay- Chris Sabin escapes with a win...his cockiness nearly cost him tonight.

Callis- Nonsense, Chris always had this match well in hand.

Tenay- Didn't seem that way to me.

Callis- You should try watching more closely then.

Over The Top Rope Challenge Match

Raven vs Kid Kash vs Rene Dupree vs 'The Machine' Doug Basham w/Jim Cornette

Surprisingly good, considering the rules. A brawl for the off-set, the actual wrestling was scarce for the early parts of the match. Kash was the focus of Raven's offence, which left Basham and Dupree against each other mostly. A good few minutes into the match, after Basham took out Dupree with a spinebuster, he helped Kash as they tried to eliminate Raven. Raven escaped however, but the two on one continued. Raven only managed to halt this as he blocked a double backdrop attempt, and hit a double Evenflow. Immediately he got up and clotheslined Dupree over the top rope for the first elimination. Raven then brawled with Basham for a minute or so, until Basham hit a lowblow. By now Kash was up, but as he came over after Raven, Basham blindsighted him and eliminated Kash from seemingly nowhere. That left Raven and Basham, who spent a few more minutes finally getting some 'wrestling' into the match. In the end Basham was thrown over the top rope, but managed to skin the cat. Cornette passed him the tennis racket, and Basham swung towards Raven…but he ducked, and pushed Basham out onto Cornette to win the Over The Top Rope Challenge.

Order of Elimination

1st: Rene Dupree by Raven in 5:29

2nd: Kid Kash by Doug Basham in 6:35

3rd: Doug Basham by Raven in 11:48

Winner: Raven in 11:48

** (70, 72, 75)

Tenay- And Raven wins! Raven survives three men tonight…can he do the same with 29 men in 8 days time?

Callis- Not a chance Tenay. Raven lucked out tonight…

Tenay- Lucked out? Raven survived this battle and you have to say he ‘lucked out’. Don, if I were you, I’d face up to the fact that Raven is the favourite now for the Quest For The Gold Match.

Callis- He hasn’t won it yet Tenay…and he won’t in 8 days either.

Tenay- Well, that’s all we have time for this week…join us next week, where we’ll be one day away from Quest For The Gold!

OR: 71- An improvement. All four matches were good, Legend and Killings certainly the pick of the four. Nothing bad on the whole show, and a good omen for the PPV.

Attendance: 3006

T.V Rating : 0.15

Post Event News

Cornette was successfully turned…his debut was unsurprisingly greeted with face reactions, what with his legendary status. However, the plan was to have Cornette as a heel. Luckily, the original face reaction wore off...possibly by the association with Basham.

Legend has proven to be a fantastic wrestler...his recent drive and determination will be rewarded soon with more wins we expect.

Two more signings on the eve of Quest For The Gold. Nate Webb has signed an open contract for $14,000, which may be a temporary deal, depending on Webb's conduct and performance and the like. And secondly young Chris Divine has been snapped up to a written contract, the deal being worth $16,000 a month. Divine's signing went down well with The Amazing Red for one, who was pleased at his friend getting a contract...a team of the two may be the route we go down.

Now, the BIG news...or rumour to be more precise. It's thought that Pro Wrestling Iron have landed themselves in financial trouble. Talks of an NWA takover have been running rife recently after a meeting between Jerry Jarrett and PWI owner Andrew McManus. The 'deal' is very much is in the rumour stage. But, if it does go ahead, tentative plans for a PWI/TNA series of matches are being thrown around to debut some of the superstars who would retain their jobs. More news on this as it comes.

NWA:TNA XPlosion Preview

One day left until NWA:TNA's Quest For The Gold...and if you thought the NWA:TNA would just sit back and present a half-assed preview show...you're dead wrong. Three huge matches have been scheduled...

...in the main event, the NWA World Heavyweight Championship will be put on the line, in a big rematch. Former NWA Champion Ron 'The Truth' Killings challenges the man who took the belt from him last year, the current champion Jeff Jarrett. A huge main event, the whole Quest For The Gold card could be drastically changed if Killings were to return the favour and win his second World Title. Jarrett is reportedly unhappy at this match being booked...the match coming from Erik Watts, as punishment for the attacks on Styles two weeks ago. However, the question is can Jarrett overcome this big challenge...or will Ron Killings by-pass the Quest For The Gold route, and win the title.

In the interest of fairness, the number one contender AJ Styles will also be in one on one action...and his task will be by no means easy either. His opponent, 'The Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels is one of the top superstars in both America and Japan, a former Ring Of Honor World Champion, and also an entrant into the Quest For The Gold Match. A win over the number one contender would place Daniels right in contention for the belt himself, so expect a hard fought battle. The two have met in the past with mid-blowing results...and this meeting is sure to be no different. So make sure you don't miss what is sure to be a classic match.

And in another preview of the Quest For The Gold Match, four of the entrants will compete in tag team action. Team Tough Enough, Matt Cappotelli and John Hennigan, will team up to face the New Church's Julio Dinero and the former X-Division Champion Michael Shane. With four of the top X-Division stars of the moment in one ring, this match should be fast and furious...and again, momentum is the name of the game in this match...all four underdogs could do with some going in to the 30 man battle.

Also, we hear from the entire TNA Management on their plans for Quest For The Gold...

NWA:TNA XPlosion

27th March 2004

Live from the TNA Asylum, in Nashville Tennessee

Commentators: ‘The Professor’ Mike Tenay and ‘TNA Chief Executive’ Don Callis

Before the opening XPlosion video is played, another video begins showing some clips of former NWA star Barry Windham. With Vince owning all the NWA/WCW video rights, it's all MLW clips or newly recorded NWA:TNA house show clips. Anyway, it ends with a clip of Barry Windham nailing Legend with a big lariat, before coming up with the words "You can't spell Windham without N W and A!"...before informing us Windham makes his debut tommorow night in the Quest For The Gold.

OR: 58

The pyro hits, and we're live for XPlosion for the last time this month. Tenay and Callis once more are at ringside, ready for action.

Tenay- Welcome to NWA:TNA XPlosion...just one day away from Quest For The Gold, and what about that Don...Barry Windham back in the NWA!

Callis- That's big Mike...no doubt. But speaking of big, what about tonight...

Tenay- The face of Quest For The Gold could be changed tonight, as Ron Killings challenges Jeff Jarrett for the NWA World Title.

Callis- Which is totally unfair.

Tenay- Why? AJ Styles is in action too...he's got to face Chris Daniels.

Callis- He doesn't have to defend his World Title two nights in a row though does he!

Tag Team Match

Team Tough Enough (John Hennigan and Matt Cappotelli) vs 'HB2K4' Michael Shane and Julio Dinero w/Traci and James Mitchell

Well, it was a decent start to the show...nothing special. Michael Shane's been given the less obvious nickname of 'HB2K4'. That may not be a good thing. Hell, look what happened to the last guy with that type of nickname (Shannon Moore). A nice little X-Division style tag match, Hennigan and Cappotelli showed little signs of the Hardyz in their style and look. Shane and Dinero used the strength advantage to gain a brief advantage, but this was a very even match. After all hell predictably broke loose, Matt went to the top and nailed the flying elbo drop on Dinero. Michael Shane broke the count at two, and held Matt in place from Dinero. He went for a superkick, but missed, hitting Shane! John took out Dinero, as meanwhile Matt went back up top and hit the big elbow to Shane and got the 3 count!

As John and Matt left with the victory, Julio Dinero rolled back into the ring to check on Shane. Shane however slapped the taste out of Dinero's mouth, and then shoved James Mitchell down! He then left with Traci on his arm, as Dinero watched on...

Winners: Team Tough Enough by pinfall in 6:42

** (58, 52, 79)

The scene quickly cuts to a pre-recorded segment, where all 5 wrestling members of the TNA Management are gathered in the backstage area. It seems an arguement is breaking out between them, Jarrett stuck in the middle trying to stop it. Eventually, Don Callis steps into view carrying four plastic balls in his hands, his presence causing them to stop.

Callis- That damn Watts...

Jarrett- What?

Callis- He made me draw these just like everyone else!

The discontented murmur goes up amongst the group.

Kash- So, which number have I got? Did you get thirty?

Legend- Hey! Even if he did, who says you should get thirty?

Callis- Guys! I don't know what numbers I got. Look...I don't want any arguements, and I don't want to treat anyone unfairly. So I'm not going to open them. You choose from me one each...whatever number you get, that's it. I don't want any of you guys wanting to swap numbers or anything...

All four murmur...before Kash grabs one of the balls. The other three take their numbers, and all open up the balls to see what their numbers are. Kash and Northcutt instantly look a little disheartened, while Abyss nods to himself and Legend smiles broadly. Kash quickly sneaks a look at Legend's number, sighing as he sees it.

Kash- You lucky...I don't believe this.

Northcutt- Hey, it could be worse. Look at my number!

Kash does, and laughs.

Kash- Yeah, you're right...it could be worse!

Legend- Hey big man...what number did you get?

Abyss grunts, showing his number to the others as they raise their eyebrows in surprise.

Kash- You're happy about that!?!

Callis- Don't worry about the big man. That's no sweat for him. Listen...you all know the deal right. All for one, and one for all. You two are close enough to team up...and by the time it comes to the end, I want all four of you to be left.

Jarrett- That way, I don't have to defend my title at Nothing Left To Lose. You boys remember that. I've gotta go Don...match to prepare for.

Callis- Sure thing Champ.

Jarrett walks off, as the other TNA Management guys watch on.

Kash- What does he mean he doesn't have to defend?

Callis- Relax...we'll work something out...

OR: 85

Notes: Don Callis gained overness from this segment

Callis- Who the hell recorded that? Why was that shown without my knowledge?

Tenay- Who knows. So...what number did Abyss get then?

Callis- None of your damn business! Just get on with the show!

'The Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels vs 'The Phenomenon' AJ Styles

Wow. A fantastic match, as expected. It might have been even better if Styles didn't have to hold back, knowing he had a match the next night. Both men entered a brilliant counterfest for the opening exchanges of the match, bringing the crowd to their feet on more than one occassion. Daniels it was who took the first advantage, working over Styles' knee through the match. Styles, despite his one bad leg, still managed to hit some impressive aerial moves at times, but concentrated mostly on high impact moves. As the match got to the fourteen minute mark, Styles went for the Styles Clash finally. Daniels managed to free an arm though, and counter out into an ankle lock and grapevine. Styles reached the ropes though. Again Styles fought back, the crowd solidly on his side...but suddenly, booing as the World Champion strolled down the rampway. Styles got distracted, and that allowed Daniels to clip Styles' knee. Daniels then caught the hobbling Styles, and nailed the to get a surprise win!

Jarrett quickly rolled in after the match, and proceeded to stomp away on Styles' injured knee. Viciously he attacked the number one contender, until Ron Killings' music finally hit. Jarrett quickly stopped, as Killings ran in and started to attack Jarrett, getting the main event underway!

Winner: Christopher Daniels by pinfall in 14:28

****1/2 (79, 76, 100)

Notes: Christopher Daniels is losing overness because of his weak gimmick

***MAIN EVENT***

NWA World Heavyweight Championship

Jeff Jarrett © vs 'The Truth' Ron Killings

Styles was quickly carried out by referees, as Killings and Jarrett brawled to began. The crowd were red hot from the beginning, as Killings and Jarrett put on another fantastic match. Jarrett was distracted early by Styles being carried away, and Killings got a nearfall off a roll-up. The match spilled to the outside where Jarrett got the advantage, driving Killings into first the barricade and then the ring post in quick succession. Back inside Killings fought back, but Jarrett chopblocked out the knee and went to work. Much like the previous match Jarrett focused on the knees, limiting Killings' attacks. However, with the crowd behind him Killings escaped a figure four, and fought back. After Jarrett ran into the turnbuckles, Killings got a DEATHLY close nearfall from an incredible running DVD, the crowd fulling believing that Killings had won. Jarrett managed to hit a lowblow later on, before AJ Styles suddenly came hobbling back out from the back with a steel chair. Styles rolled in...and SMACKED Jarrett with the chair, causing Mark Johnson to call for the DQ!

As Styles reeled back with the chair again, Jarrett suddenly backtracked, sliding out of the ring and very quickly retreating up the ramp and to the back. The crowd booed Jarrett, as meanwhile Styles and Killings shook hands in the ring.

Winner and still NWA World Champion: Jeff Jarrett by disqualification in 15:39

***1/2 (75, 82, 86)

Notes: The NWA World Heavyweight title has gained in image

Tenay- Oh my...this war between Jeff Jarrett and Ron Killings just heated right the heck up!

Callis- This is ridiculous Tenay. Styles tried to take Jarrett out before tommorow night with that chair. Thank goodness he managed to get away!

Tenay- Hey, what's good for the goose is good for the gander Don.

Callis- Jarrett didn't have to use a steel chair though!

Tenay- Well, this arguement could go on all night...but we've got to leave you now. Join us tommorow night live on Pay Per View...Quest For The Gold, Jarrett versus Styles and the 30 man Quest For The Gold Match...we'll see you tommorow night!

OR: 71- Would have been better, but the whole show seemed 'off'. Three great matches, one of which the best match of the big two companies this month and last. But the show seemed worse than it really was...if that makes sense.

Attendance: 3009

T.V Rating : 0.13

Typical. The one show I decide to put on Killings/Jarrett and Styles/Daniels, that bug kicks in. Would have had two 80 plus segments otherwise. Oh well. PPV card coming in a little while, with the show to be up as soon as possible.

Post Event News

Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles were said to be delighted at finally getting their match. They had been requesting the match for a while now, and we finally had the right financial situation to use open contracted wrestlers like Daniels...they certainly didn't let us down.

Not sure what the problem with the show was. It seems the pre-PPV day element of the show made the show look worse than it really was. Anyway, besides that, we were very happy with the way the matches went.

No more news on PWI and TNA's possible merger yet. McManus and Jarrett are still in talks, and the possibilities are still being ironed out.

Thankfully, the result of the Quest For The Gold Match hasn't been leaked out to the internet...mainly because most of the roster and staff don't know yet. Only a select few people have been allowed to know the result of the match, everyone else will be told during the show to make sure of no-one leaking out the result. We've seen it happen with the Benoit/Royal Rumble situation earlier in the year, and didn't want that to happen with us. The match really is a pick'em, with the favourites including Chris Daniels, Abyss, Ron Killings, Kid Kash, Barry Windham, Raven, Doug Basham and a very special legendary entrant who's name we won't announce.

Friggen "one of those nights" bug. On a night with Styles/Daniels and a hot world title match too. Sucktastic.

On the bright side, Quest for the Gold continues to look awesome, so hopefully the show lives up to the hype.

NWA:TNA QUEST FOR THE GOLD Pay Per View Preview

The wait is finally over. It's Pay Per View time again for the NWA:TNA. Four huge matches are on the card, in which futures of many NWA:TNA superstars will be drastically altered, for better or for worse. All four matches feature men on the 'quest for gold'...

NWA Tag Team Championships

THE AMERICA'S MOST WANTED © vs. KYO DAI

When new Tag Team Champions were crowned at Living For Today, the four way elimination match came down to these two team. The AMW grabbed the win there, and their 4th NWA Tag Title reign began. These two teams also met on the Feburary 21st edition of XPlosion, with the AMW retaining the titles again. Kyo Dai actually earnt this title shot by losing to the now defunct New Church...but, they have a new determination to win the titles this time...and momentum, after Yang beat Chris Harris two weeks ago. Whever Kyo Dai can dethrone the best tag team in the NWA:TNA's history however is a different story.

NWA:TNA X-Division Championship

'THE FUTURE' CHRIS SABIN © vs. PAUL LONDON

This one has been brewing since Living For Today. Sick of the worldwide reputation Paul London had earned himself, and feeling disrespected, the X-Division Champion Chris Sabin attacked London at the show during his six man tag team match. London holds a victory over Sabin in six man tag team action, Sabin holds a six man tag victory over London. And now, both men want to prove to each other they deserve the accolades they receive. London overcame 9 men in a battle royal to earn his shot...can he overcome man number ten to win the belt? Or will Sabin retain the belt and prove his point to his doubters?

30 Man Quest For The Gold Match

Winner gets a NWA World Title shot at Nothing Left To Lose

ABYSS, DOUG BASHAM, BURCHILL, MATT CAPPOTELLI, CHRISTOPHER DANIELS, JULIO DINERO, CHRIS DIVINE, RENE DUPREE, SONJAY DUTT, JOHN HENNIGAN, KID KASH, RON KILLINGS, K-NESS, LEGEND, LATIN LOVER, TAKEHIRO MURAHAMA, MATT MORGAN, KEVIN NORTHCUTT, RAVEN, SONNY SAIKI, MICHAEL SHANE, SHARK BOY, SINN, SLASH, CHRIS VAUGHN, ERIK WATTS, NATE WEBB, BARRY WINDHAM, DAVID YOUNG and AN UNNAMED NWA LEGEND

30 men, all going for one title shot next month...this promises to be a total brawl. Barry Windham making his return to the NWA, the former allies Sinn and Slash's first possible meeting, the enemies Sonny Saiki and Ron Killings, Raven and his quest to overcome TNA Management's odds, the TNA Management foursome themselves and their relationship, Erik Watts taking a step back from power and back into wrestling, the man who beat the number one contender last night Chris Daniels, Matt and John possibly having to fight each other, the debut of the monsterous Matt Morgan, a mystery TNA legend, Michael Shane and Julio Dinero who had a falling out last night, Doug Basham's first big shot in TNA...and numerous underdogs all looking to make a name for themselves. There a vast number of alterier motives and sub-plots to this match. But, the main goal is to survive past 29 other men and get a shot at the NWA World Champion next month.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship

JEFF JARRETT © vs. AJ STYLES

The BIG one. It's been brewing for months, and will finally come to a head at Quest For The Gold. Ever since Jeff Jarrett won the NWA World Title for the second time, beating AJ Styles to do so, he's been using his connections with Don Callis to avoid any 'predicaments'. When he had to defend his NWA Title against Raven, Styles and D'Lo Brown at Living For Today, Jarrett managed to escape with the win. But, he did so under unfair circumstances. Since then Styles has campaigned for a title shot, and getting a pinfall victory in the 2 on 3 handicap match against the odds secured it. Confrontations between the two have seen this fued escalate to boiling point...Styles overcoming TNA Management's odds time and time again, only for Jarrett to put even more obstacles up. Last night, Jarrett caused Styles to lose to Christopher Daniels...only for Styles to then attack Jarrett with a chair during his match with Ron Killings. Both men will still be the feeling effects of last night...but both will also have the fire lit inside them. Now, they must do battle to settle this score. At the end of it though...only one man can be NWA World Champion. The other...will have seen his dreams taken from him...and have to start another quest for the gold.

Before the PPV came on the air, we were greeted by Erik Watts standing in the ring, getting a great reaction from the crowd.

Watts- Welcome...to Quest for the GOLD!!!

The crowd pop, as Watts smiles and nods.

Watts- Thank you all for coming here tonight, and supporting the NWA:TNA in it's quest towards Global status. Tonight, we hope to present a night of action like the NWA:TNA has never produced. But, first we would like to thank all of you who tuned into XPlosion over the past month during it's later timeslot...and are pleased to announce that as well as XPlosion, beginning April 7th, you can now catch the NWA:TNA on WGN Superstation...Total Nonstop TV...every Wednesday night...PRIME...TIME!!!

The crowd pop again...this time starting a "TNA" chant...but that doesn't last long, as suddenly Don Callis' music hits, to boos from the crowd.

Callis- Thank you...thank you. Erik Watts...thank you so much for stealing my spotlight. I was all set to come out here as the NWA:TNA's Chief Executive, and like I did last month welcome the crowd...and I was going to announce the new T.V deal, which after all, I played a big part in getting. Oh yes...I've got stroke Watts. I've got stroke with the Network Execs up at WGN. And they were very exicted at the prospect of me announcing the deal. But...you've ruined it now, haven't you.

Watts- Hey, Don...calm down brother. There's no need to...cry about it.

Callis starts to angrily reply, but gets cut off by a "Crybaby" chant.

Callis- Listen to me Watts! Now, I can cope with you stealing my spotlight. Hell, I've had to do that for the past 3 or 4 months now. But your distinct lack of respect leaves me no choice...but to have you escorted from the ring.

Watts- Escort me from the ring?

Callis- Yes Erik...see tonight, you're a wrestler. Which means you have no power over proceedings tonight. Where as...I do. So, I can escort you from this ring and if need be this building...so I suggest you keep your mouth shut.

Watts- Or what!

Callis grins, as Watts waits for an answer...as meanwhile, there's some commotion in the crowd as two people suddnely jump the barriers...

Callis- You asked for it Watts...SECURITY!

The two men roll into the ring...it's Red Shirt Security! Watts turns around...DOUBLE SPINEBUSTER SLAM!!! Here comes Kid Kash and Abyss too, running into the ring as Callis watches on laughing. Watts gets picked up by the Red Shirts...Kash nails a superkick. Abyss meanwhile is climbing to the top rope! Watts is helpless...TOP ROPE SPLASH FROM ABYSS!!! Watts has been laid out!!! The TNA Management start yelling down at Watts, who is holding his ribs in pain, while the four men leave the ring.

NWA:TNA QUEST FOR THE GOLD

28th March 2004

Live on PPV from the TNA Asylum, in Nashville Tennesee

Commentators: ‘The Professor’ Mike Tenay and Don West

The PPV level pyro hits, and we're once again live in the TNA Asylum. Mike Tenay along with Don West at ringside...nice to know he's still employed.

Tenay- Welcome to NWA:TNA...Quest For The Gold! Mike Tenay here tonight with Don West...and Don, before we go into the show, we've got to run down what just happened...

West- That's right Mike. Erik Watts was out here before the show thanking the fans here...and announced that from April 7th, NWA:TNA will be featured on WGN with a Primetime Wednesday night show. Then Don Callis comes out, calls for 'security'...who were unsurprisingly Legend and Northcutt, the Red Shirts. Then Kash and Abyss came down, Watts got attacked...we don't even know if Watts will make it to the Quest For The Gold Match now!

Tenay- Don Callis throwing his weight around already...well, anyway, we're moments away from the Tag Team Title Match...so let's send it up to the ring.

NWA Tag Team Championships

The America's Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris)© vs Kyo Dai (Jimmy Yang and Ryan Sakoda)

A solid start to the show, both teams seemed on their game tonight. Kyo Dai especially worked their asses off...the result being this match was considerably better than the XPlosion meeting last month. Kyo Dai surprisingly worked the role of dominant heel team, isolating James Storm and cutting off the champions' half of the ring. Yang made the first mistake, missing an enziguri and getting caught with a huge clothesline. Sakoda ran in and got spinebustered out of his boots before Storm got the hot tag to Harris, who came in and cleared house. Harris hit the Catatonic on Yang a couple of minutes later, only for Sakoda to break the count. Kyo Dai tried to double team their way to victory over Harris, but in ran Storm to take out Yang. Sakoda flew off the top rope at Harris, but got caught in his arms…Storm quickly climbing to the top rope, and the AMW hit the Death Sentence on Sakoda. Harris made the cover…and got the three count, to retain the Tag Team Titles.

Winners and still NWA Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted by pinfall in 8:34

**3/4 (68, 51, 86)

Notes: The NWA Tag Team titles have gained in image

Tenay- The America’s Most Wanted retain…and once again prove themselves the best tag team in the NWA:TNA!

West- Another impressive showing…I don’t know if there’s a team in the NWA who can take those titles off the AMW.

Tenay- Whoever that team is,. they’ll have one heck of a task to do so.

West- Let’s go backstage to Scott Hudson…

Backstage we go, as Scott Hudson is stood by with one of the favourites in the Quest For The Gold Match, Raven.

Hudson- Well, tonight is a night of reckoning for many men…one of those men is standing beside me now, Raven. And, it’s fair to say Raven that this match has special importance to you…

Raven- Special importance? You could say that... Tonight, for some people, it is a chance to prove themselves. For some people, it's a chance to get a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Some people...some people have to win this match Scott. I am one of those men. In my mind I have to win this match. The NWA World Championship has elluded me for far too long...and winning this thirty man Quest For The Gold will get me my shot. A loss...I hate to think how long I would have to wait for my shot. I'm an impatient man Scott Hudson. I'm not prepared to wait.

Hudson- Well, amongst the twenty nine men in the Quest For The Gold is a man you've had a few problems in the recent past with Abyss. I'm sure you'll be hoping to face off with him during the match...

Raven- Abyss and I will have our day very soon. It matters not to me whever Abyss is in the ring when I enter or not. But...I assure you...if he is, then I'll have no hesitation in extracting some revenge on him tonight.

Raven walks away, as Hudson quickly sends it back to ringside.

OR: 86

Tenay- Raven is a man on a mission tonight. And, he said it best...some men feel they have to win this match, and he's certainly one of them.

West- But it won't be easy for Raven, because there's twenty nine men in that match wanting the number one contendership as well.

NWA:TNA X-Division Championship

'The Future' Chris Sabin © vs Paul London

A fantastic match. Pure and simple. The crowd's indifference was the only let-down, which was surprising. I guess the crowd aren't as high on London as they probably should be. Apart from that, it was a top notch match. Slightly slow to begin with, which didn't help the crowd reaction, the tempo picked up gradually the more London got in control. The crowd came alive early as London hit an INCREDIBLE shooting star lariat from the apron, and then when Sabin hit a DDT on the floor...but Sabin then used some neck work, which slowed the tempo right back down. Much like the Dutt/Sabin match, Sabin then connected with a series of high impact moves, none of which could put the challenger away. And like Dutt/Sabin, Sabin countered a hurricanrana into a powerbomb, and hooked the ropes for the pin...only for London to kick out! London began to fight back, nailing a series of speed orientated moves. And after some beautiful counter wrestling he nailed a superkick, before going to the top. Sabin recovered and met him on the ropes, only to get pushed off...and hit with the London Calling! London quickly hooked the leg...1...2....3! NEW CHAMPION!

London was passed the X-Division Title belt, and he quickly raised it tirumphantly in the air. However, as he did so Chris Sabin crawled over behind him...and nailed a lowblow! London doubled over...as Sabin quickly hit the Future Shock! The crowd booed the sore loser Sabin, as he angrily left the ring.

Winner and NEW X-Division Champion: Paul London by pinfall in 17:25

**** (74, 48, 100)

Notes: The NWA X title has gained in image

Tenay- What the hell was the meaning of that? Chris Sabin...what a show of poor sportsmanship.

West- And what a dampner on a fantastic victory for the new X-Division Champion.

Tenay- Indeed...the new X-Division Champion, Paul London thoroughly deserving of that belt.

We go backstage next to where Doug Basham is sat in his dressing room, lacing his boots in preperation for the Quest For The Gold Match. As he does so, a shadow slowly looms over him...Basham looking up, to see his manager Jim Cornette standing looking down at him, weilding the tennis racket.

Basham- Hey Jim...

Cornette- Doug. Are you gonna need me out there tonight?

Basham- Jim, didn't ya hear? No managers allowed at ringside during the Quest For The Gold.

Cornette- No...I hadn't heard that.

Cornette sighs, and throws his tennis racket to the side in anger.

Basham- Don't worry boss...I've got it sorted.

Cornette- Doug, have you ever been in a match like this?

Basham- Well, no bu...

Cornette- I haven't either, but I know what something like this entails. Don't say you've got it sorted. Owen Hart said that to me, Yokozuna said that to me, The Heavenly Bodies said that to me, Tenryu and Kabuki said it to me, and The British Bulldog said that to me. But none of them managed to win. That's because this type of match is the toughest match to win you will ever be involved in. You don't have this sorted, because just when you think you do, someone sneaks up behind you and throws you out. I have the confidence in you to win this. And I know that you will win this...as long as you don't get over-confident. You can't afford to do that...this is your shot at getting the NWA World Title. Don't waste it...

Basham chuckles, before standing up from his seat.

Basham- Don't worry Jim...I won't...

OR: 70

West- Doug Basham has got to be a contender for the Quest For The Gold Mike...

Tenay- Certainly so Don, providing of course he got himself a favourable draw.

West- Very true.

Tenay- Well, the Quest For The Gold Match is upcoming next...thirty men all going for one World Title shot. And of all the men in that match...the mystery still surrounds the unnamed NWA legend that is entered in the match. We have no clue who it is, what number he's got...we don't have a clue.

West- We do know it's not Barry Windham, he's of course a named NWA legend entrant.

Tenay- Raven, Doug Basham, Sonny Saiki, Ron Killings...the big man Abyss. There's a lot of men more than capable of becoming the NWA Champion entered into this one. But only one man will advance on to "Nothing Left To Lose" and get the title shot...

30 Man Quest For The Gold Match

Blue= Entrant

Red= Elimination

Slash drew number one, and number two was Chris Vaughn. One and a half minute intervals for this match which is always a good thing. Slash and Vaughn spend those two minutes with your typical brawling...the first near elimination coming as Vaughn held on after an elimination attempt from Slash. Burchill came in at number three, and launched off with some vicious offence on both men pretty much unchallenged for the next two minutes. Burchill nailed the standing star press on both men, stopping to pose for the crowd as number 4 Rene Dupree made his entrance. Burchill and Dupree did battle, as meanwhile Slash threw Vaughn over the top...only for Vaughn to hold on. Burchill charged at Slash...but Slash ducked, and backdropped Burchill out for the first elimination! Things slowed down until the buzzer marked the entrance of number 5...ABYSS! The big man's entrance popped the crowd...and he immediately went to work on the remaining three opponents. Quickly all three were laid out, as Abyss continued to hit high impact move after high impact move on them all. Number 6 was K-Ness, who ran straight into trouble from Abyss too. Abyss took him out, before effortlessly throwing out Slash. Abyss dominated over Dupree, while K-Ness and Vaughn brawled...until Christopher Daniels made his entrance at number seven. He went right after Abyss...causing the other three men to join him in a four on one attempt on Abyss. Eventually they tried to eliminate Abyss, but he escaped, shoving away everyone...before tossing K-Ness over the top rope. The remaining three joined in again on the beating...until number 8 made his entrance, Kevin Northcutt, of course an ally of Abyss. He helped out the big man, and they teamed up to dominate the other men. Vaughn and Northcutt got into a heated brawl near the roped, as meanwhile Abyss again was attacked by Daniels and Dupree. Both of those men had to avoid elimination before the debuting Takehiro Murahama entered at number nine. His entrance with a springboard dropkick was a rather 'unorthodox' one. As the time ticked away, another assault began on Abyss...this time, Northcutt wasn't around to help out. Abyss slowly fought off all the guys going after him...but as soon as he got free, Daniels grabbed a leg and tipped him...AND ELIMINATED ABYSS!!! Abyss got escorted back, looking extremely angry of course, as John Hennigan entered at number 10; Vaughn reaching the 12 minute mark in the process. The remaining six men brawled through the next two minutes, as Sonny Saiki entered in at number 11! Saiki went straight for Dupree, as Daniels found himself on the end of Northcutt's offense. Another favourite Doug Basham came in at number twelve, as Daniels tried to oust Kevin Northcutt. There were no eliminations between then and the entrance of number thirteen Sinn...or between then and David Young entering at fourteen. Now ten men filled the ring, causing the match to degenerate into a brawl. The buzzer went for 15, the halfway mark...and after a brief pause Erik Watts limped out to make his entrance. Just as he rolled in, David Young managed to clothesline Sinn over the top to the floor, again leaving ten men. Watts got in...and EXPLODED on Northcutt. He continued to concentrate on Northcutt, as brawls continued around the ring. Shark Boy made a popular entrance at number 16. Meanwhile, Rene Dupree managed to duck a spin kick, and hiptoss John Hennigan out of the match. From there the match slowed down again...Chris Vaughn making it to twenty eight minutes in the ring, and showing the effects. Basham threw Watts over the top, only for Watts to hold on. Finally the two minutes where up, and the buzzer went for number 17...

DUSTY RHODES!!! THE MYSTERY ENTRANT. The fans went LOCO as Dusty rolled in, giving out Bionic Elbows to everyone who came near him. A big Dusty chant started up...until Basham caught him from behind. Kid Kash came out next, quickly helping out Northcutt against Watts. Watts however rallied back after a minute or so, knocking both TNA Management members down before backdropping the charging Shark Boy HIGH over the top! Eleven men now remained in the ring, Sonjay Dutt entering at 19 to make it twelve. The luckier draws slowly started to enter now, Julio Dinero coming in a number twenty. Dusty was next to be teamed up on, Daniels, Dupree and Vaughn almost getting him out. Meanwhile Watts and Kash suddenly fell to the floor, beginning a brawl on the outside. Northcutt followed out to help, Dusty going out to help Watts. That left eight men actually in the ring to greet the twenty first entrant...BARRY WINDHAM! The legend rolled in, and went to work on everyone standing. As Windham went to work, Christopher Daniels threw David Young up and over the top...Young hung on, but got dropkicked off the apron. The four men on the outside made their way back in eventually, as The Latin Lover came in at twenty two. As soon as Dusty rolled in, he was attacked by Vaughn and Dupree. He nailed Vaughn with the Bionic Elbow...and then nailed Dupree, the force sending Rene Dupree staggering up and out of the ring. Exhaustion began to set in, the number two entrant Chris Vaughn reaching 30 minutes plus, Daniels surpassing the twenty five minute mark. Nate Webb came in at number twenty three...but only managed to last twenty three seconds, before Kevin Northcutt threw him out, making it a bad night for Nate Webb. Sonny Saiki suddenly came into view...hiding under the ropes, avoiding any contact, as he had been for most of his time in the ring. Basham and Daniels worked over Rhodes, Kash and Watts brawling...as RON KILLINGS suddenly came out at number 24, to a huge roar from the crowd. Killings fought off Vaughn and Daniels, before finding Saiki and dragging him into the centre of the ring. Saiki and Killings suddenly became the focus of the match, as they brawled heatedly. Saiki got the advantage briefly, but then walked into a crescent kick...allowing Watts to chuck Sonny Saiki out of the ring!!! Killings followed out through the ropes, and the brawl continued on the outside until Saiki managed to run off...Killings rolling back in to be met by Basham. Chris Divine entered at number 25, just as Chris Daniels NEARLY eliminated Kevin Northcutt. Kash and Watts continued to brawl in one corner, as now fourteen men resided in the ring, which of course meant the match was a total brawl. Michael Shane entered in the twenty sixth position, going straight after Killings who was suddenly the focus of most attacks. Dusty began to show signs of fatigue, as he threw some elbows at Kash and then Northcutt. Dusty and Northcutt then became tangled up together in the ropes, as Christopher Daniels ran over...AND DUMPED OUT DUSTY RHODES!!! Rhodes couldn't believe it, as Daniels had eliminated ANOTHER favourite. Again the brawling commenced between the remaining fourteen men, as the fifteenth man in the ring entered...lucky number twenty seven...AND IT WAS RAVEN!!! The crowd exploded, as Raven rolled in...EVENFLOW TO KASH!!! Chris Vaughn, having made it to fifty one minutes an a couple of second was then finally dumped out, courtesy of Christopher Daniels. Windham meanwhile tried to go after Raven...kick, wham...EVENFLOW! Raven started to dominate. Legend made his entrance at number 28 which took TNA Management's representation to three. Killings nearly got eliminated by Murahama, but managed to skin the cat...headscissoring Murahama over the top, but the Japanese star held on too. Matt Cappotelli entered in at twenty nine, further cluttering the ring. Then, in came number 30, which was of course the big man Matt Morgan.

Now, with all thirty men entered into the Quest For The Gold, seventeen men were left in the ring! That's a damn lot of people...and it showed. It didn't take long after Windham to LARIAT Erik Watts up and over the top. A couple of second later Matt Morgan found himself flying over the top rope from Doug Basham. That cut the field down slightly, and it nearly became more cut down...only for Killings to hang onto the ropes from Kash's throw. A minute or so later Legend suddenly sprang into life, eliminating Julio Dinero and Chris Divine in quick succession. Killings again had to hold on to the ropes to save himself, this time from Barry Windham's clothesline...as Chris Daniels found himself in trouble from The Latin Lover and Kevin Northcutt. As Daniels struggled to escape, Sonjay Dutt came over and tipped The Latin Lover over the ropes and eventually to the floor. Twelve men left now, which allowed a little more room for manuever. Raven began to begin brawling with Basham furiously. A minute or so later, Chris Daniels tipped Kevin Northcutt over the top rope and onto the apron, getting taken out by Cappotelli before he could finish the job. It didn't matter however, as a disorientated Legend staggered over, bumping into Northcutt without realising...and Kevin Northcutt fell to the outside. Legend was shocked when he realised he'd eliminated his tag team partner, Northcutt unsurprisingly unhappy too. Through the crowd of people Windham managed to lariat Basham out of his boots, while Chris Daniels began to attack Killings. A minute or so more brawling followed, before Cappotelli tried to throw Basham out...Basham reversed though...as on the other side of the ring, Ron Killings threw Christopher Daniels out, ending his magnificent run! Matt Cappotelli meanwhile flew over the top, and just nine men remained. Quite a while of brawling passed, Dutt and Murahama managing to find space to hit some crowd popping moves. Doug Basham nearly eliminated Kid Kash, while Sonjay Dutt came close to dumping out Killings. Barry Windham came under fire from Dutt, Murahama, Kash and Legend as they tried to eliminate the legend...however, Windham fought them all off. Dutt went flying over the top, but he held on. However, Doug Basham wasn't so lucky...he ran towards Windham, but he ducked a clothesline and Lariated Doug Basham over the top rope!!! Basham however grabbed a steel chair, rolled back in and SMACKED Windham with the chair! Basham finally got escorted out, as Windham was now busted open. While this was going on, Kash stomped away on Ron Killings...as Legend came over to help. Kash pulled Killings up and held his arms behind him. Legend backed up, but Killings ducked...AND LEGEND CLOTHESLINED KID KASH OVER THE TOP!!! Legend eliminated his second ally of the night! Seven men remain; Windham, Legend, Dutt, Raven, Killings, Murahama and Michael Shane. Raven and Legend brawl, as Windham battled Dutt and Murahama, and Killings brawled with Shane. Just as Windham fought off the two X-Divisioners, Killings ran over and tipped him over the top, but Windham managed to escape and roll in, still bleeding heavily. Dutt and Murahama meanwhile turned on each other, Dutt going to the top but Murahama going up with him! Both men got to the top in a dangerous position, exchanging right hands. Murahama suddenly lost his footing slightly...and got shoved to the side...Takehiro Murahama flying to the floor! Dutt quickly hit a crossbody on Shane for good measure. Shane groggily got up from that...and clotheslined over the ropes by Raven! Michael Shane is gone! Raven quickly then turned around...and Evenflowed Dutt VICIOUSLY! Raven dragged Dutt up and threw him over the top rope...Dutt held on somehow, as Ron Killings came from behind...AND DUMPED OUT RAVEN!!!!! The crowd can't believe it, they thought Raven was winning this one! As Raven tries to get over the elimination, Windham charges forward. Killings dives out of the way...as Windham hits a boot and sends Sonjay Dutt out to the floor!

And we're down to three! Ron Killings, Legend and Barry Windham! Legend and Killings brawl, as Windham steps in and knocks both men down with right hands. Windham begins to dominate...throwing Killings over the ropes...he teeters, as Windham tries to finish the job, but Killings hooks the ropes and pulls himself in. Legend quickly nails Windham, and a surprising alliance between Legend and Killings forms. The tide turns when Windham ducks a double clothesline...and nails one of his own. Killings gets a big boot...as does Legend, which sends the TNA Management man stumbling over the ropes. He teeters for a moment, before Windham shoves Legend over the top rope! Killings and Windham are left! Killings tries to brawl with Windham, but gets knocked down each time. Clothesline by Windham sends Killings for a flip. Windham goes to the top rope and hits a flying elbow drop, to a big cheer from the crowd! However, Windham can't dump Killings out. As Killings collapses towards the ropes Windham waits...and goes for a big boot. Killings moves, and Windham crotches himself across the top rope! Standing dropkick...BUT BARRY HANGS ON! Widham tries to suplex Killings out, but he blocks and lands on the apron. Boot from Killings, he enters the ring again...irish whip sends Windham into the ring post! Barry comes back and goes for a clothesline, but Killings ducks it...dropkick...BARRY'S GONE!!! BARRY WINDHAM IS ELIMINATED! KILLINGS WINS!!!

Winner and number one contender for Nothing Left To Lose: Ron Killings in 57:49

* (60, 50, 70)

Notes: Christopher Daniels debuted his new gimmick (Evil Preacher), it got a positive response. Erik Watts is losing overness because of his weak gimmick

Tenay- What an effort from Ron Killings! Killings survives, and will get another NWA World Title shot...the former champion, who could easily have won the title last night survives to win the Quest For The Gold!

West- You have to take your hat off to Ron Killings. A magnificent victory...

Tenay- Amazing. Ron Killings overcame twenty nine men, and now he goes on to "Nothing Left To Lose", and will get himself an NWA World Title shot!

Scott Hudson is backstage once more, this time with the number one contender AJ Styles.

Hudson- Well AJ, we're moments away from the culmination of your personal Quest For The Gold. Ron Killings awaits next month, but if you want to be the man to face him, you have got to defeat the reigning champion himself Jeff Jarrett. You've beaten Jeff Jarrett before...but he was the man who took the belt from you. It's time to settle the score...

Styles- You bring up a good point Scott. It was Jeff Jarrett who took that NWA World Championship belt from around my waist. You know Jeff, since that day you took the belt I've been waiting for the opportunity to meet you one on one, man to man one more time to settle this score between us. And with every sneak attack, every belt shot, every obstacle put before me...all you've done is make me even more determined to settle this score, and take back my belt. So Jarrett...tonight, when you're looking across the ring from me and hearing this Nashville crowd chanting my name...I want you to look down at that belt and I want you to say your last goodbyes. Take a long look at everything you fought for to gain. And then look at me. When you do that I want to realise just what you've gotten yourself into. This is beyond the belt now. This is personal. Which is why I'm going to personally enjoy tearing you apart...and taking back my title.

The scene suddenly cuts to the commotion of Ron Killings' locker room, where he is celebrating his Quest For The Gold victory with a number of the face roster members there to congratulate him...as Goldylocks tries to get to Killings, having to barge past a number of wrestler to do so.

Goldylocks- Ron! Ron...congratulation on you...

Killings cuts Goldylocks off...with a kiss!!! As he releases Goldylocks, she instantly forgets about an interview and stands looking dumbfounded. Suddenly the commotion starts to die down, as barging through the sea of people comes Barry Windham, his face covered in dried blood as he walks over and goes face to face with Killings, tension filling the room. Windham and Killings stare at each other...before Windham extends a hand, Killings shaking it.

Windham- You make sure you kick ass and take that belt.

Killings- I intend to.

Windham nods before turning away and slowly leaving the room, still unable to hide the look of disappointment on his face. Meanwhile the celebration continues behind him.

OR: 85

Notes: Ron Killings gained overness from this segment

Tenay- A great show of respect from Barry Windham, a show of respect which is thoroughly deserved.

West- Coming from a guy like Barry Windham, that's a big show of respect.

Tenay- Well...Ron Killings is set to meet the NWA Champion at "Nothing Left To Lose" next month...but who will be the champion. who will be champion after tonight? Will it be Jeff Jarrett, or will AJ Styles embark on his second NWA World Title reign?

West- I can't bet against the champion. He's got too much on his side.

Tenay- Well, I wouldn't bet against AJ Styles...I feel tonight is his night.

***MAIN EVENT***

NWA World Heavyweight Championship

'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett © vs 'The Phenomenon' AJ Styles

Worthy of it's main event billing, this one was heated and at the same time of high quality. Jarrett refused to show Styles the belt at the beginning of the match, which is customary, causing AJ to kick the brawl off early. It fell to the outside of the ring and even into the crowd for a brief while, all this just heating the crowd more. Back inside, Jarrett focused on the knee...the same knee Daniels worked over last night. Doing a good job of working the knee, Jarrett then locked on the figure four leglock! Styles had to fight it, and somehow got to the ropes after a minute and a half in the hold. Angry now, Jarrett went after the knee with even more ferocity, hitting two dragon screws before Styles countered a third with a modified shining wizard. Styles got a nearfall from that, and then rallied back on the one leg. Styles wiped Jarrett out with a plancha on the outside, and hit a snap DDT back in the ring. Jarrett managed to catch a thumb to the eye and hit The Stroke, before covering Styles...1...2....STYLES KICKED OUT! Jarrett couldn't believe it, and went for the figure four again. Styles shoved him off and got a two from the resulting roll-up. Styles then hoisted Jarrett onto the buckles, so he could put Jarrett in Styles Clash position. Jarrett managed to free himself though, and lock the figure four back on. Styles fought still though, and got to the ropes again. This time Styles got back up, but missed a flying forearm and wiped out referee Mark Johnson. Jarrett suddenly pulled some brass knux out of his trunks, and knocked Styles out...placing them in Styles' trunks just incase, before reviving the referee. Quickly Jarrett pulled Styles up and hit the Stroke for the second time, hooking the leg for the...1...2......and 3!

The crowd booed wildly, some of them throwing bits of paper and trash at Jarrett as he quickly grabbed his NWA Title and escaped up the rampway. Scuttling off, Jarrett made sure he gets the hell out of the arena as quickly as possible, as meanwhile Styles begins to come to in the ring.

Winner and still NWA World Champion: Jeff Jarrett by pinfall in 22:47

*** (84, 86, 80)

Notes: The NWA World Heavyweight title has gained in image

Tenay- God damn it...Jarrett stole the damn match again! Jarrett used brass knuckles which went undetected by the referee.

West- It got him the title...

Tenay- That's no reason to use brass knuckles to win a match. Jarrett couldn't win fairly, so he had to use a weapon. A weapon. AJ Styles got screwed!

West- I'm not saying it's fair Mike. I'm just saying, it's what Jarrett did to win.

Tenay- Well, Jeff Jarrett is still the NWA Champion for now...will he be by "Nothing Left To Lose" where Ron Killings will go for the NWA World Title. This was Quest For The Gold...we'll see you Saturday night on Urban America for XPlosion...and the Wednesday night afterwards, WGN Superstation, TotalNonstop TV. Goodbye from Nashville!

OR: 77- Well, considering this was only a four match card, it was great. Besides the solid segments, AMW/Kyo Dai pulled out a considerably better match than their last meeting, Sabin versus London was awesome and Jarrett/Styles was unsurprisingly great. On the bad side, the Quest For The Gold Match could have been a lot worse, but got overcrowded and let things down slightly. And the crowd were a little indifferent apart from the main event...but it wasn't enough to spoil the show.

We were delighted with the show...everybody pulled out that little extra for the Pay Per View. The Quest For The Gold Match was a little ill-conceived in that seventeen men in the ring got over-crowded. We were delighted with the reactions for Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham and Christopher Daniels who is in for a push.

As you already know, WGN offered us a contract to put on a prime-time television show. We accepted the deal for a Wednesday night show, due to the lack of competition. It's called "Total Nonstop TV", which is nice and original...or, not. Finally getting a prime-time show means a lot more time to build feuds...

Or so it seems, as MLW now have a new TV show on Saturday Graveyard, running on the Playboy Channel. That means they'll go head to head with us...and seeing as the Playboy Channel is more widely picked up than Urban America, that could mean bad things for us. Keeping on the television theme, the WWE have got themselves even more power...both Heat and Velocity have been promoted to prime time slots. So, that's not the best news for us.

Anywho...due to the new prime-time T.V show, we've got to sort out some new contracts. First of all, we've secured a deal with the WWE star Tommy Dreamer. Feeling unhappy at his recent use in the World Wrestling Entertainment, Dreamer wants to go back to his roots. He's appeared with the Ring Of Honor a couple of times recently...and wants the lessened workload but with the more grass roots image. Also we've had successful talks with Dusty Rhodes, who gets a new written contract for $83,000 a month. Basically, we want to use him more. ROH star Colt Cabana has signed an open contract which will pay him $21,000 per apperance. The Second City Saints will re-unite as a result, Punk pulled out of the New Church. Matt Morgan gets a written contrast, for $17,000...the reason for this being plans have been found for him to fulfill. He's impressed us with his ethics and backstage behaviour, therefore gets a new contract. Nate Webb gets a written contract, for $16,000. He wasn't given very much time in the Quest For The Gold Match. Well...none at all. But we consider him a decent talent. The same can be said for Austin Lee, who gets a shiny new written contract, for $21,000.

On the PWI front, Jerry Jarrett and Andrew McManus met for preliminary talks over the takeover of Pro Wrestling Iron by the NWA:TNA. To take over the company, pay off the debts and retain all the assets we wish two will cost in the region of $860,000. The rumour is that the deal is set to be completed, and that it will be done over the weekend. If so, the retained assets (i.e the wrestlers we want to keep) will begin to debut from Wednesday's TotalNonstop TV debut.

March's Top 10

NWA Champion: Jeff Jarrett

Retained the belt against both Killings by disqualification, and then of course against Styles at Quest For The Gold. A better month than the last.

1: Ron Killings

Won the Quest For The Gold to make him the rightful number one contender. Also claimed a great win over Legend, and gave Jarrett a run for his money the day before Quest For The Gold…should be a real challenge for Jarrett at Nothing Left To Lose.

2: Raven

Victories over Kash and Abyss in a handicap match, and then in the Over The Top Rope Challenge take Raven up to two.

3: Chris Sabin

Despite losing his X-Division Title at Quest For The Gold, Sabin holds a win over the new champion Paul London this month and also defended successfully against Sonjay Dutt. Whever he can get back his gold will remain to be seen.

4: James Storm

The AMW hold victories over both the New Church and Kyo Dai in tag team action…retaining their titles, and keeping themselves in a top position in the rankings.

5: Chris Harris

Harris goes down one from his tag team partner due to a loss to Jimmy Yang. Besides that, his Tag Title wins keep him in the top 10.

6: Christopher Daniels

A pinfall victory over the previous number one contender AJ Styles…a great run in the Quest For The Gold Match which saw him eliminate four people, AND, he eliminated Dusty Rhodes.

7: Paul London

The NEW X-Division Champion…despite the loss to Sabin at the beginning of the month and others, London got the fantastic win which snaps him up to seventh.

8: AJ Styles

Beat Kid Kash early in the month. Despite the loss to Jeff Jarrett, Styles still had a decent month.

9: Doug Basham

Holds a pinfall victory over Paul London, eliminated for in the Quest For The Gold and came second in the Over The Top Rope Challenge.

10: Barry Windham

10th place, despite having only one match, by virtue of the runner-up spot in the Quest For The Gold where he eliminated four people. Expect bigger and better things through April.

NWA:TNA XPlosion Preview

Saturday night on XPlosion, expect action aplenty as we're coming off of the back of Quest For The Gold. For those of you who didn't manage to catch Quest For The Gold we're going to give you a re-run of the closing events of the NWA World Title main event. Jeff Jarrett is still the NWA World Champion, but that's far beyond the full story...if you missed it once, don't miss it again.

In the ring, 3 matches have been signed for the show...the main event featuring the brand spanking new NWA:TNA X-Division Champion Paul London defending his belt against a former champion, 'HB2K4' Michael Shane. London vowed to be a fighting champion after winning the belt and wishes to defend the belt against all comers. The former champion Shane is certainly a good way to start. However, it sure as hell won't be an easy way, as Michael Shane is determined to become a two time champion.

Scores need to be settled this Saturday, and hopefully will be as former New Church allies Sinn and Slash will do battle. After their split two weeks ago, the confrontation has been waiting. They didn't get a chance to do battle during the Quest For The Gold Match itself, so will face off on XPlosion...and just to add some fuel to the fire, this match will be fought under hardcore rules.

And the tag team scene has heated up, with a large number of tag teams expressing their desire to go for the NWA Tag Team Titles. Two of the teams will do battle this coming Saturday...the former number one contenders Kyo Dai taking on the young contingent of Team Tough Enough. Don Callis has announced he's considering every team's wish to go for the Tag Titles at Nothing Left To Lose, and will announce the challengers in the near future...so both teams will be out to prove themselves in this match.

NWA:TNA XPlosion

4th April 2004

Live from the TNA Asylum, in Nashville Tennessee

Commentators: Scott Hudson and Don West

Before the show even gets to ringside, we're taken to a recap video of the events surrounding AJ Styles versus Jeff Jarrett 6 days ago at Quest For The Gold. Brief highlights of the first twenty minutes rush by, before the video picks up at the last two minutes, the end of the match. Jarrett counters the Styles Clash attempt with the figure four leglock, and it all looked over. Styles managed to crawl towards the ropes with the support of the fans, and eventually reach the ropes to break the hold. Styles got up and the two exchanged right hands, until Jarrett whipped Styles to the ropes. Styles ducked a clothesline...and went for a flying forearm, which Jarrett ducked, causing referee Mark Johnson to get knocked out! Quickly Jarrett reached into his tights and placed a pair of brass knuckles on his right hand. Slowly AJ turned around...and got smacked with the knuckles, which were then put in his trunks just incase. Slowly Johnson came to, as Jarrett hooked the leg and made the cover...to get the 3 count, and retain the title. Jarrett grabbed his belt and left with his tail between his legs, as Styles was left to complain in vain to Johnson.

OR: 75

After that we finally go into the arena where the B-team announcers Scott Hudson and Don West are at ringside this week, Callis and Tenay obviously being promoted to the prime time show.

West- Welcome to NWA:TNA XPlosion, live from Nashville Tennessee. Don West and Scott Hudson here at ringside tonight...and you just saw at the top of the show what happened 6 nights ago at Quest For The Gold...

Hudson- Jeff Jarrett retaining his NWA World Title, with the use of brass knuckles, and that situation will be further addressed on Wednesday night. Tonight however, we have three great matches coming up here tonight.

Tenay- The new X-Division Champion Paul London is in action tonight in the main event, and we're set to hear from him...after our opening match...

Team Tough Enough (Matt Cappotelli and John Hennigan) vs Kyo Dai (Jimmy Yang and Ryan Sakoda)

A 'meh' match. Team Tough Enough are still green and it shows, despite their obvious talent. Anyway, the match lacked in that all important factor crowd heat...none of the four men really nearing solid overness. The action was solid enough, Sakoda in for most of the match to over-power the Tough Enough 3 champions. John and Matt rallied and showed great signs of teamwork just like last week, Yang bringing the bumpage. A gorgeous double enziguri from Matt and John looked to have won the match, but Mike Chioda insisted on Matt leaving the ring. John caught Sakoda entering the ring out of the corner of his eye and went over...getting smacked with a steel chair right in the head. However, Chioda had turned around and caught this, calling for the disqualification!

Sakoda argued with Chioda, as Matt came back into the ring. Sakoda and Yang quickly jumped him, and went to work...until suddenly, Matt Morgan ran down the aisle stopping them in their tracks. Yang looked confused, as Sakoda ran forwards...getting grabbed by the throat, and chokeslammed out of his boots!!! Quickly Yang ran into a clothesline, before Morgan picked him up, and drilled him with a vicious spinning sitout powerbomb. Both Kyo Dai members laid down and out in the middle of the ring, as Morgan helped up his fellow Tough Enough 3 contestants.

Winners: Team Tough Enough by disqualification in 6:28

*1/2 (63, 52, 75)

Notes: Matt Morgan's turn was completed, and he is now a face. Matt Morgan gained overness from this turn.

Hudson- What destruction from this monstrous Matt Morgan! Amazing!

West- But why did he do that...for John and Matt?

Hudson- Why do you think Don? He's these guys' friend. They competed in Tough Enough 3 together.

West- I guess that means Morgan is part of Team Tough Enough now then...

We cut backstage to the interview area, with Goldylocks standing by with the new NWA:TNA X-Division Champion Paul London...

Goldylocks- Paul London…firstly, congratulations on becoming the NWA:TNA X-Division Champion at Quest For The Gold. You proved yourself to Chris Sabin and to the world six days ago…how does it feel to be champion?

London- It feels greet Goldy. You know, I proved to Chris Sabin that I am a worthy X-Division wrestler. He seems to have a problem with me because I’ve had more recognition than him. I didn’t ask for Chris Sabin to attack me, I didn’t ask for him to start this personal grudge. All I wanted was to become the number one X-Division wrestler in this company. And now I’ve done that…the issue between me and Sabin, as far as I’m concerned, is done with. All I want to do is concentrate on defending this belt proudly the way it should be. I’m willing to accept any challenge for this belt…I didn’t win this belt to back down from people. If you want a shot at this belt, then Paul London is willing to hand you that shot. I don’t care who it is. Matt or John. Yang or Sakoda. Red. Sabin. Heck, even my buddy Spanky when he’s back from Japan. I don’t care who. All I care is that I respect this championship the way it should be respected. Starting tonight with Michael Shane…

London puts the X-Division belt over his shoulder, smiles and walks out of shot as we go back to ringside.

OR: 62

Hudson- Don, it’s nice to see someone respecting a title nowadays…Paul London is a great wrestler, but also a fine person.

West- That’s all very nice Scott…but being a ‘fine person’ doesn’t win you matches. He is a fantastic wrestler I agree.

Hudson- Then what’s your point?

West- Well, you saw it at Quest For The Gold…sometimes nice guys finish last.

Hardcore Rules Match

Sinn vs Slash w/James Mitchell and Julio Dinero

Yuck! That’s all that can be said about this match. Dinero and Mitchell came to watch Slash’s back, but despite the hardcore rules they stayed well out as Sinn and Slash brawled heatedly. Pity the crowd didn’t care even a little bit. After some pretty weak brawling, Slash got Dinero to throw in some weapons. Suddenly the match turned into your usual WWE hardcore match…no…worse, a WCW 2000 hardcore match. Exchanging weak chair and trashcan shots, Sinn and Slash just looked lost out there. A couple of ‘Boring’ chants started through the match, which went way too long. Sinn finally floored Slash with a chair shot, when suddenly Dinero rolled into the ring. Sinn swung with a clothesline, but Dinero ducked and hit the No Brainer…dragging Slash on top for the pinfall victory.

After the match Dinero continued his attack, Slash and Mitchell joining in on the attack until Sinn was left spread eagled on the mat.

Winner: Slash by pinfall in 8:49

DUD (48, 37, 60)

West- I guess that’s what happens when you mess with the New Church.

Hudson- That was uncalled for Don…whatever Sinn may have done. A vicious attack.

West- Well Scott...it's main event time, and it's for the X-Division Championship...new champion versus a former champion. I'm looking forward to this one.

NWA:TNA X-Division Championship

Paul London ©vs 'HB2K4' Michael Shane w/Traci

Fantastic match, probably the best Michael Shane has ever competed in. He's certainly improving more and more since his poor title run. London got the chance to show off some high flying moves early in the match, before a low kick from Shane turned the tide. Traci's presence at ringside certainly helped, Shane's valet getting her shots in at London when she could. As the match wore on Shane came close to putting London away, but the new champion rallied, determined not to lose his title on the first defence. London missed the London Calling however, giving Shane a nearfall. It was here that Shane screwed things up. Kicking in to HBK mode, Shane took forever to line up a superkick...London managing to duck, and hit an enziguri kick. As Shane got up London went to the middle rope, hooking Shane's head and hitting a tornado downward spiral...the Crash London. With a hook of the leg, London then got the 1...2...and 3, and retained his title.

Winner and still X-Division Champ: Paul London by pinfall in 12:34

***1/4 (72, 53, 91)

Notes: The NWA X title has gained in image.

West- It's over!

Hudson- Paul London with a fantastic first defence of his X-Division Championship. Shane pushed him a long way, but the HBK influence cost him the match tonight!

West- London retains his title tonight...will he defend again Wednesday night when we see you next?

Hudson- I'd imagine so...London's promised to be a fighting champion. And I wouldn't be surprised to see him Wednesday night, when I hope you will join us live for NWA:TNA TotalNonstop TV on the WGN Superstation. Goodbye from us here on XPlosion, we'll see you next week...

OR: 65- With the new Prime Time show, I guess XPlosion is suddenly TNA’s Heat. Still…this could and should have been better. London's match was great...his interview passable. The Jarrett/Styles video was obviously solid, and Kyo Dai/Tough Enough was ok. Whoever had the idea for Sinn/Slash however won't be too happy however.

Attendance: 3503

T.V Rating : 0.01

Dude, I had an idea.

Since Styles is temporaily out of the world title picture, he should be the captain of team NWA against team PWI, do an InVasion, or a tournament, or something.

Keep up the good work though, this is pretty good

I'm late commenting on the PPV, but great show man, even if the rating for the QFTG match didn't show it. Awesome effort just to write that all out.

It'll be interesting to see where your fed goes from here, esp with the PWI invasion on the horizon.

Post Event News

PWI TAKEOVER

A big update this week...as the takeover of Pro Wrestling Iron by NWA:TNA has been completed, the two companies merging together. The contracts of seven PWI stars have been retained, while the rest have not.

The seven kept are Bison Smith, Donovan Morgan, Ichiro Yaguchi, Matt Stryker (who signed a written contract, worth $57,000), Michael Modest, Nick Dinsmore (another written contracter, getting $56,000 a month), Vic Grimes (who also gets a written contract, for $58,000 a month)

Amongst those released were: Chavo Guerrero Snr, Jim Neidhart, Jimmy Snuka, Jimmy Valiant, Perro Aguayo and Tama who are all too old for our liking. John Zandig, who does not get on well with CM Punk. Kevin Sullivan, who we have no plans on using. And Typhoon...who speaks for himself. We wish all these men, and the other who did not get NWA:TNA contracts all the best in their futures.

The main plan is to link the four standouts Modest, Morgan, Stryker and Dinsmore together and form a stable, in time for Wrestlewar...and start up a TNA vs IRON 'fued'. No 'Invasion'...that would not be smart. Vic Grimes is set for a role somewhere in the show, while Yagushi and Bison will be used as needed.

Other News

XPlosion was not good for us...it seems going head-to-head with MLW Saturday cost us a lot of viewers, and we came out worst. Seeing as we're the National company, that's a surprise...we may have taken MLW too lightly.

The weekly roster evaluation has brought about some changes. Chris Vaughan was originally released, but after a change of heart we toke him back under an open contract. He realises he may not be used very much, but is willing to wait his turn and try to improve in the meantime.

However, some haven't had second chances. To make way for the IRON guys, we needed to free some space. First to go was Traci, who we didn't have too many plans for. After hearing of Traci's release, Sinn left the company in protest. After his match on XPlosion bombed, we weren't too fussed to be perfectly honest. Takehiro Murahama and The Latin Lover have both now left the company...their trial runs were quite successful, but again, the IRON signings have limited space on the roster. We wish all of these four luck wherever they go.

With the new primetime show, Don Callis has accepted a written contract, worth $65,000 a month. He will be used as the sole authority which means a written contract will be more cost effective. Shark Boy has also been given a written contract, to the sum of $38,000 per month.

NWA:TNA TotalNonstop TV Preview

NWA:TNA debuts on primetime this coming Wednesday night, live on the WGN Superstation...and to mark this historic night, five matches have been booked for the night, with all three championships being put on the line.

The main event, for the NWA World Title, will see the controversial champion Jeff Jarrett defending the gold against NWA legend Barry Windham. Windham was the runner-up in the Quest For The Gold Match, putting in a great effort and as reward he will face Jarrett...who at Quest For The Gold retained his title in less than honorable circumstances. Now he has to pass the test Barry Windham puts up against him, but still in the back of his mind will be AJ Styles and the new number one contender Ron Killings. Can Windham win the NWA Championship belt for the second time? Or will Jarrett come out victorious again, by fair means or more likely by foul.

On the subject of the Jarrett/Styles controversy, we expect to hear from AJ Styles regarding Jarrett's victory at Quest For The Gold, and his future plans. Styles is sure to have something very important to say on this subject.

The new number one contender Ron Killings will celebrate his Quest For The Gold victory by taking on rival Sonny Saiki in a match NWA:TNA officials hope will settle the feud between these two. Their first meeting occured at Living For Today, and ended in a draw...since then, the two have exchanged many heated words, Killings has been cost the X-Division Title by Saiki, and Killings caused Siaki to be eliminated from the Quest For The Gold. But until now, the two haven't had the chance to face one on one again. So expect a heated battle nce these two finally get in the ring together.

The NWA Tag Team Titles go on the line as the four time champions the America's Most Wanted put their gold on the line against CM Punk and newcomer Colt Cabana, who enjoyed success in Ring of Honor as the Second City Saints. Punk has left the New Church Disciples and brought his friend Cabana in to join the sudden hunt for the NWA Tag Team Titles. With so many teams voicing their attention to go for the belts, The AMW find themselves hunted...and will look to win convincingly not only to retain the titles, but send a message to all those teams who feel they should be the champions.

Two of those teams will face off on the show as Don Callis' Red Shirt Security take on the newly formed duo of The Amazing Red and Chris Divine. Don Callis has said he will consider any and all requests at the tag title shot, and chose the team he feels most worthy to face the champions at "Nothing Left To Lose"...you'd expect Callis' team to be high on his list obviously. But maybe a Red/Divine win might change his mind...

The final title to be put on the line is of course the NWA X-Division Title...the new champion Paul London makes his second title defence since winning the belt from Chris Sabin. London has vowed to defend the belt against any and all comers...and his opponent for this defence will be against Kyo Dai's Jimmy Yang. Yang and his partner Sakoda couldn't win the Tag Titles at Quest For The Gold...but an X-Division Title reign would be more than consolation for Yang. Whever he can beat London or not remains to be seen.

Also, obviously the Chief Executive Don Callis will be busy...and he's let NWATNA.com in on a couple of his up-coming duties. Not only has Callis promised to introduce a 'new force' into the NWA:TNA on Wednesday night, he will also award a new NWA championship belt. And, he has promised something special for Erik Watts. Knowing Don Callis, that may not be a nice surprise for Watts.

Damn good diary, especially with the PWI newcomers. Liked Barry Windham's involvment in Quest For The Gold too...just hope he doesn't get jobbed out like Mr Perfect did after he returned to the WWE in a similar fashion.

NWA:TNA TotalNonstop TV

7th April 2004

Live from the TNA Asylum, in Nashville Tennessee

Commentators: 'The Professor' Mike Tenay and 'NWA Chief Executive' Don Callis

The new NWA video opening rolls, complete with the new theme "Slamin'" by Buckcherry, and it's sure as heck better produced than the last one. Into the arena we go, but not to pyro as the NWA Chief Executive Don Callis is already in the ring with Red Shirt Security beside him. The crowd's boos slowly die down, finally allowing Callis to talk.

Callis- Welcome...to the primetime debut...of the NWA:TNA!

The crowd cheer, as Callis smiles.

Callis- Thank you. Just remember who to thank when tonight's over and done with. Now I could stand here and talk for hours about what an honor it is to bring to you TotalNonstop TV tonight...but, as I say many times, 'time is money'. Right now I have some business to take care of...and right now, I'd like to invite someone to the ring. Someone who I have something pretty important for...ladies and gentlemen, don't waste your applause on him, just sit and watch as I introduce...Erik Watts.

The crowd cheer, as Watts walks to the ring anxiously...exchanging wary looks with Northcutt and Legend as he rolls in.

Callis- Erik...thanks for coming out tonight on my new show. It's great to see you...you're looking great. Look at you. You're down to about...what...320, 330 pounds? You've got yourself a new second-hand suit.

Watts snatches the microphone, as Callis raises his eyebrows and gets another mic.

Watts- Listen Don...if you don't mind, I have a job to do, so make this short.

Callis- Oh, Erik, that's just the thing. See, I've had a job to do. I've had jobs to do all week. And you know how tough it all is...trying to fit in all these tasks. I've got a few to do tonight. And, of course...one of them involves you. See...what I have here...

Callis takes a piece of paper out his jacket pocket.

Callis- Is for you. Now in the course of all my jobs over this past week, this little piece of paper had gotten lost amongst my 'to do file'. Here...let me...

Watts goes to grab the paper, but Callis snatches it away.

Callis- Now now Erik. You don't have to read it here...as I said, 'time is money'. So let give you a very brief jist of what it says. Basically...it says that your services as "TNA Chief of Staff" are no longer required. Now, in layman's terms, because I know you are one, that means Erik Watts...you're fired from your job as Chief of Staff.

The crowd boo, as Watts is absolutely seething.

Callis- Now, don't get too down-hearted Erik. After all...you've got a nice wrestling contract to settle back on. Only...not tonight. You're not in action, so I suggest you head backstage before I have to call for...

Callis laughs and turns to Legend.

Callis- ...'Security'.

As Callis turns back, Watts suddenly flips him off, before angrily leaving the ring. Callis watches on trying to supress a smile, before leaving the ring and going over to the announce position.

OR: 79

Notes: Erik Watts gained overness from this segment. Don Callis gained overness from this segment.

Tenay- What the hell was that Don?

Callis- Just business Mike...let's get on with the show.

Tenay- Yeah...sure. Well, we're kicking things off with the Red Shirts facing The Amazing Red and Chris Divine.

Callis- You know Mike, I've got a lot of tag teams to watch before Nothing Left To Lose...so, I'm hoping for an impressive performance from one of these teams.

Tenay- I wonder which one. How are Legend and Northcutt doing, considering Legend eliminated Northcutt from the Quest For The Gold 10 days ago?

Callis- Er...shut up Mike. Quit trying to cause tension.

Tag Team Match

Red Shirt Security (Legend and Kevin Northcutt) vs The Amazing Red and Chris Divine

A decent match, that was let down a little by the crowd. Divine and Red are actually friends which added to the two men's teamwork. Legend, who has been so impressive recently, did the most of the work in this match, isolating Divine. No real tension between the Red Shirts considering what happened at Quest For The Gold. They dominated over Divine for the majority of the match, until he landed to the tag to Red, who was pretty damn over. He came in with the spot-fest offence and cleared the ring of both of the Red Shirts…before hitting a somersault plancha wiping out both. That popped the crowd. Back inside, Red and Divine teamed up on Northcutt, until Red and Northcutt both tumbled to the outside. Legend quickly rolled into the ring and nailed Divine from behind…before drilling him with the Godzilla Choke Bomb, for the cover and three count.

Winners: Red Shirt Security by pinfall in 6:43

** (66, 55, 78)

Callis- Oh my, the Red Shirts win. What a surprise!

Tenay- I must say, a very impressive victory for your Red Shirts…certainly staking their claims for the Tag Title shot.

Callis- Well…I’ll have to ‘keep them in mind’…

Tenay- I’m sure you will…

Callis- Listen Mike, I could chat with you all day…but, I have a little more business to take care of…so…

Don Callis suddenly leaves the announce position, and begins to enter the ring, taking a mic with him.

Callis- Ladies and gentlemen…yes, it’s me again.

The crowd boo, noticing Callis entering the ring.

Callis- Tonight, I promised to unveil the latest NWA Championship belt…and award it to a man most deserving of it. A man who epitomises this belt. So…if you could pass me up the belt…

Callis gets passed the belt from the timekeeper’s table…the Chief Exec holding it in the air.

Callis- Right now, I’d like to introduce the first OFFICIAL NWA Hardcore Champion…’SIC’ VIC GRIIIMEEES!!!

Vic Grimes slowly walks down the aisle, entering the ring and accepting the belt from Callis. He briefly raises it in the air, as Callis interrupts his celebration.

Callis- This belt is for all of you twisted hardcore fans out there…who like nothing better than seeing two guys hit each other with frying pans and stuff. I knw you’re out there, I know you’re watching…which is why I, Don Callis, the People’s Chief Executive…have made this title active. Thank you very much.

Having successfully stole the spotlight back, Callis leaves the ring, as Grimes begins to do the same.

OR: 63

As he does, the scene cuts backstage, where a despondent looking AJ Styles is standing by with Scott Hudson.

Hudson- AJ…I know you must still be unhappy at your loss to Jeff Jarrett 10 days ago. Seeing your quest for NWA World Title gold ended the way it was by Jeff Jarrett must have been crushing...

Styles- Crushing? Well, to be honest, I'm not crushed. I'm not surprised in the slightest that Jeff Jarrett had to cheat to beat me, because that's Jeff Jarrett's way of doing things. You try and fight a fair match with him, and as soon he finds himself in trouble, he has to resort to unfair tactics. And the worst part about it is now that Erik Watts has been fired from his position as Chief of Staff, Don Callis, Jarrett's buddy, has got total power which means Jarrett can keep doing these sorts of things to retain his title.

Hudson- So now, you find yourself out of the NWA World Title picture, what do yo...

Styles- Oh no, no. I'm not out of the title picture, believe me. See Scott, Erik Watts got fired tonight. He didn't get fired 10 days ago.

Hudson- What...what do you mean?

Styles- Before Erik got fired, I saw him about what Jarrett did...and Erik luckily saw the brass knuckles. So, he got to work and made a match...a match for next week right here on TotalNonstop TV. AJ Styles versus Jeff Jarrett...one more time for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

The crowd cheer.

Styles- But, it's not just any match. See, if Jeff Jarrett wants to cheat...then I'm going to fight fire with fire. And I'm going to do it within the rules. 'Cause our match next week...is a STEEL CAGE MATCH!!!

The crowd erupt, as Styles smiles broadly.

Styles- Jeff...I hope to hell you beat Barry Windham tonight...because I want to take your NWA World Title. But even if Windham takes your belt...I will get you inside that cage, and I promise you...you'll need all the tricks and all the weapons you can bring with you. Because this is about more than just the belt now. This is about beating you up, knocking you down, shedding your blood...and paying your ass back!

Styles storms off, as we go back to ringside.

OR: 84

Tenay- Can you believe that Don? AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett in a Steel Cage Match...next week!

Callis- ...

Tenay- You're speechless aren't you. Well...I'll make the most of it...I'm sure it won't last for long.

NWA:TNA X-Division Championship

Paul London ©vs Jimmy Yang w/Ryan Sakoda

A fantastic match...one of the best free-TV matches you'll see all month. Fastpaced, hard fought...and it had physcology too. The usual back and forth start and counter exhibition spilled to the outside, where London hit his always impressive Shooting Star Lariat on Yang...and Yang nailed an equally impressive Asai moonsault. Sakoda's interference finally swung the match, tripping London as he ran to the ropes, and allowing Yang to hit a DDT. The challenger looked to work over the neck from there, and did a pretty good job for a few minutes, until London hit a BIIIIIG backbodydrop to counter. Sakoda again interjected himself...this time getting knocked off the apron by Yang accidentally. London rallied back against Yang from there, and got several near-falls, before Yang nailed the most vicious kick this side of Tajiri...for a near fall! Another series of counters and counter-counters followed, until London managed to kip-up...straight into a hurricanrana! Quickly the X-Division Champ went to the top rope...kicked Sakoda off the apron...and hit the London Calling, for the one...two...and three count!

Winner and still X-Division Champion: Paul London by pinfall in 8:54

**** (76, 53, 100)

Notes: The NWA X title has gained in image.

Tenay- Paul London with another impressive defence of his X-Division Championship! What a match.

Callis- Tremendous Mike. That's what the NWA:TNA is all about!

Tenay- It certainly is Don.

Meanwhile, we go backstage...and RAVEN is here! Raven has arrived in the arena! Raven walks through the hallways...

*SMACK!*

Wait a minute! Abyss appears from nowhere, and smacks a chair over Raven's back! Raven goes down, as the big man stands over Raven breathing heavily...and brings the chair down across Raven's back again! Someone needs to stop this...Abyss nails another chair shot! Finally referees and officials came running over and try to pull Abyss away, as Raven lays out cold on the concrete floor.

OR: 64%

Notes: Raven lost overness from this segment.

Tenay- What the hell Don Callis...what the hell was that?

Callis- Don't ask me...

Tenay- Don't ask you!?! You're Abyss' manager...that damn animalistic Abyss just destroyed Raven, and you don't know anything?

Callis- Hey, I've been out here all night...

Tenay- How convenient. Ron Killings and Sonny Saiki are up next...I just hope Raven is ok.

Grudge Match

Sonny Siaki vs 'The Truth' Ron Killings

Another great match, only this time, a hot crowd to go with it. The new number one contender came out fired the hell up, which prompted a heated brawl to begin, until Saiki bailed. Killings followed and the brawl spilled to the outside...the railing, table and ring steps all getting involved in the battle too. Back inside, the match became a contest of high impact moves...Saiki winning out eventually after Killings got dropped throat first across the top rope. That gave Saiki the chance to dictate the pace of the match, and dictate he did, working Killings over for a long period of time. Eventually Saiki hit the Siakalypse Now...but Killings kicked out, to a big pop from the crowd! Killings slowly fought back...and as Saiki went for a running powerslam, Killings floated over the back. Saiki slowly turned around...and got nailed with the Truth Or Consequences for the cover...and the 3 count!

Killings celebrated after the match...but it didn't last long, as suddenly Jeff Jarrett rolled into the ring...and SMASHED Killings across the back with a steel chair! Another shot connected, before Jarrett threw the chair out of the ring...and drilled Killings to the canvas with The Stroke. Boss filled the arena, as Jarrett left the ring, the damage having been done.

Winner: Ron Killings by pinfall in 14:29

***3/4 (83, 76, 90)

Tenay- Jeff Jarrett...that's our World Heavyweight Champion...a cheating, cheap-shotting jerk!

Callis- Hey! Let's not say things we can't take back here.

Tenay- Jeff Jarrett couldn't beat Killings 11 days ago, he had to cheat to beat Styles 10 days ago...and now, here he is attacking Ron Killings from behind, totally unprovoked!

Once the show comes back from another commercial break, 'The Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels is stood in the ring, getting booed by the crowd.

Daniels- The gospel according to Christopher Daniels states...that this...is the year 2004. A year of change in proffesional wrestling. The year the 'stars of the future' from last year finally stand up and make themselves noticed. The year that new stars become champions, and the old guard is slowly peetered out. Now...Dusty Rhodes...

The crowd cheer at 'The American Dream''s name.

Daniels- Where exactly do you fit in with the 'stars of the future'...apart from the fact you're holding us back. You don't. You instead fit in with those who need to be dumped on the scrap heap! Face facts Dusty...you're a legend. And you were a great champion. But this 2004...not 1984. At Quest For The Gold I did what needed to be done, and that's dump you out of the running for the World Title. Now, all that remains is to dump your fat ass out of wrestling for good! So...

Suddenly, Dusty's music hits, and the crowd erupt! Slowly Dusty walks out onto the stage, soaking up the cheers for a while before glaring down at Daniels.

Dusty- You know somethan Christopher Daniels...you have got a point. I aaam a legend! I aaam the old guard. And this iiiiis two thousaaand and four. But lemme tell ya somethan Christophaaa...I'm still breathan, and I'm still fightan...and I'm still da American Dream!!!

Daniels- Well then, listen up 'American Dweeem'. I see what you're getting to...so let's cut to the chase. Saturday night on XPlosion...I'll have my wrestling gear on and ready to fight. If you have the guts, show up, step into that ring and face the future of this business one on one!

The crowd cheer...starting up as Dusty chant, which brings a smile to Rhodes face.

Dusty- You wanna go up against me? One on one, man to man...the 'Fallen Angel' and the 'America Dream'. The son of a plumber against da son of a bitch!

The crowd pop, as Daniels is furious at Dusty.

Dusty- Well...all I gots'ta say to that is...I'll see you on XPlosion. And me an' you are gonna get it on if you weeell!!!

Dusty raises his arms in the air, the crowd cheering wildly as Daniels points up at him and informs him that he'll see him at XPlosion.

OR: 76%

Callis- Wow...what a match-up Mike!

Tenay- The legend versus the upstart Saturday night...Dusty Rhodes and Christopher Daniels. I for one can't wait for that Don!

Callis- I tell you, Christopher Daniels is a genius. If he manages to beat a guy like Dusty Rhodes, who let's face it is past his prime...

Tenay- Well, yes, he is.

Callis- ...if he can beat Dusty, suddenly he's in the title picture! But...that's for Saturday night. Tonight...you've guessed it Mike, I've got more business to attend to.

Don Callis gets back in the ring, to more boos from the crowd.

Callis- Never let it be said I'm not a man of opportunities...because right now, I'd like to introduce you to four men making their NWA:TNA debuts. Four men who I guarantee will revolutionise this company. Ladies and gentlemen...allow me to introduce...TEAM IRON!!!

Some new music hits, as out walk four men familiar to some...the four men making up Team IRON. All four enter the ring, standing around Callis.

Callis- Team IRON! The future of this company. Recently, NWA:TNA merged with Pro Wrestling Iron...and these men were the four stand-out athletes from that company. We have the former Ring Of Honor stand-out Matt Stryker. We have Donovan Morgan and Michael Modest...one of the most technically sound tag teams in the world today, who have taken both America and Japan by storm. And we have the leader of this foursome...Nick Dinsmore. A technical marvel. A man who the hacks in Stamford didn't think could 'cut it'. Well...these four can cut it...and they will, now that I've signed them to enhance the NWA:TNA.

Suddenly Dinsmore takes the microphone, as Callis backs off and leaves the ring, giving the IRON foursome their time.

Dinsmore- Don Callis...you've got it wrong my friend. We're not here to enhance the NWA:TNA. We're here...to dominate it, and to make it our own. You see, we wouldn't even have been here if certain people hadn't splashed their cash and thrown their weight around. But now we are here, we're determined to show the NWA:TNA just why we are reknowned throughout the world. You may be able to buy the PWI, and you may be able tp buy people out of thier contracts...but you'll never buy Team IRON! All you've succeeded in buying...is the TNA's own personal takeover...by us!!!

As Dinsmore throws the mic out of the ring, the crowd boo the four newcomers whilst they leave the ring and walk to the back.

OR: 82%

Notes: Don Callis gained overness from this segment.

Tenay- Team IRON making their intentions known...they want to overrun the NWA:TNA, which won't win them any friends.

Callis- They've won me over. I like confidence and these guys are full of it.

Tenay- They certainly sounded full of something.

NWA Tag Team Championships

America's Most Wanted (James Storm and Chris Harris)© vs Second City Saints (CM Punk and Colt Cabana)

The NWA:TNA debut of Colt Cabana and about time too. The run of wonderful matches continued here with both teams putting on a fine display of tag team wrestling with the time allowed. Colt and Punk's teamwork was near seamless, while the AMW where as solid as ever...perhaps more so. Colt and Punk isolated Harris for the first half of the match, using a vast range of tag team moves to work 'The Wildcat' down. There was no hot tag surprisingly...instead, all hell simply broke loose. Colt and Punk hit Billy and Chuck's old finshing move, the powerbomb/top rope clothesline combo, but could only get a two as Harris broke the count. All four men then brawled in the ring...until Storm hit the Eight Second Ride on Cabana, whilst at the same time Harris drilled Punk with the Catatonic. Cabana was quickly grabbed, and together the AMW hit the Death Sentence, to get the three count and retain their titles.

Winners and still NWA Tag Team Champions: America's Most Wanted by pinfall (Harris over Cabana) in 8:23

***3/4 (77, 59, 95)

Notes: The NWA Tag Team titles have gained in image.

Tenay- Another fantastic match, and another victory for the America's Most Wanted.

Callis- It's going to take a very good team to dethrone these two men, let me tell you Mike.

Tenay- Well, up next it's main event time. Barry Windham is a former NWA World Champion...he wants the belt back around his waist, and in the process take the belt from the unworthy cha...

Callis- Hey! Unworthy? Jarrett?

Tenay- If it wasn't for a pair of brass knuckles, AJ Styles would probably be the champion right now.

Callis- But, he's not, so get over it.

***MAIN EVENT***

NWA World Heavyweight Championship

'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett © vs Barry Windham

Can you say 'old school'? That's what this match was. Nothing special, especially considering the matches that proceeded it, but it certainly wasn't too offensive. Windham unfortunately lost a step or two since the days of going hold for hold with 'Naitch'...and it showed. Windham's power took control early, as Jarrett was thrown about the ring until he retreated to the outside each time. Eventually he managed to catch a lucky chopblock to Windham's right knee, and never looked back, working the joint over furiously. To his credit Windham sold it very well on his comeback...before eventually getting locked in the figure four leglock. He fought and fought, crawling to the ropes to break which pleased the suitably hot crowd. Windham fought back with fists flying, before eventually getting sent out of the ring. Suddenly, over the barrier leapt Doug Basham...nailing Windham on the outside with a leg lariat! Basham rolled Windham back in, as Jarrett let go of referee Mark Johnson, and pulled Windham up...hitting The Stroke, and getting the pinfall victory!

Jarrett quickly grabbed his title and left, as meanwhile in the ring Basham fired away with stomps on the fallen Windham. Jim Cornette eventually joined Basham in the ring, and joined in on the onslaught as Windham was left helpless. Basham and Cornette left satisfied, only for Windham to try and pull himself up...so Basham grabbed Cornette's tennis racket, and rolled back in. Windham finally got to his feet...and drilled Windham in the knee with the racket handle!! Viciously Basham repeated the blow...before swinging down with the metal rim right across the kneecap!!! The crowd booed wildly, as Basham finally walked out.

Winner and still NWA World Champion: Jeff Jarrett by pinfall in 8:17

* (68, 70, 65)

Tenay- We need some help for Barry Windham right now. His kneecap may have been crushed!

Callis- Why did Doug Basham do this? Why would he destroy Barry Windham like this.

Tenay- I don't know, but I'd imagine it had something with Jim Cornette.

Callis- But still...why Barry?

Tenay- Who knows. Hopefully we'll find out either next week...or Saturday night, when we hope you'll join us for XPlosion. We'll see you next week...for more TotalNonstop TV.

OR: 73- Well...three matches ***3/4 or over on one show, on free TV no less. That probably more than the WWE will have over it's four primetime shows this or any week. This wasn't just a marvellous wrestling show though...Team IRON's debut, the opening segment and Dusty/Daniels were all great too. Add in a solid tag opener, some feud enhancement and a passable main event, plus other passable segments, and this is a major thumbs up. Styles/Jarrett to look forward too next week, as well as Daniels/Dusty on Saturday.

Attendance: 3501

T.V Rating : 2.98

Post Event News

We were all very pleased with how the show went...not only did we have the three wonderful matches, but everyone on the show put in 100%, which really pleased us.

Team IRON's debut went down very well, which is good news because we have big plans for them. Despite the nature of their formation, the four seem to be a very natural unit...and run on the premise of all good four man stables. Obviously, it'll draw comparisons with the Horsemen in due time. There's the technically proficient leader Dinsmore (Flair), the underrated understudy Matt Stryker (Sting/Windham) and a tag team force to back them up (Ole and Arn/Malenko and Benoit). Here's hoping they're half as successful as the Horsemen were.

After his recent superlative performances, Paul London will recieve a push up to the midcard. Since arriving in the NWA:TNA, London's been putting on consistently great performances, and raised the image of the X-Division title in the process. We're glad he chose to sign a written contract with us rather than work for multiple promotions...Paul felt it would be wrong to go back to ROH after his leaving, although he knew the opportunity was there. We hope to reward his loyalty as best as possible in the near future.

The Daniels vs. Dusty match was originally planned for Nothing Left To Lose…however Daniels will be in Japan come March 25th so the match was re-arranged for XPlosion in an attempt to gain ratings against MLW. Instead of that match on the PPV, a tag team match to highlight the thriving division is planned.

NWA:TNA XPlosion Preview

This coming week on XPlosion, coming off the back of a great debut edition of TotalNonstop TV…we’re live again in Nashville, where three big matches have been booked for the show.

The main event will be tag team action, featuring two members of TNA Management Kid Kash and Abyss taking on the reigning X-Division Champion Paul London and Raven. Abyss has been trying to pick off Raven in recent weeks in an attempt to make a name for himself…and on Wednesday night, he attacked the former ECW Champion with a steel chair backstage. However, Raven isn’t down yet, and is now more hungry for revenge. Meanwhile Kid Kash is awaiting a shot at Paul London’s X-Division Title…London will defend on Wednesday against Ryan Sakoda, but the week after Kid Kash has secured himself a shot at the gold. He will be hoping to get a psychological advantage before then, while London will instead be hoping to enhance his reputation as the best X-Division wrestler around by beating one of his top challengers.

In another HUGE match, a match where the future and the past will collide head on, Christopher Daniels will take on ‘The American Dream’ himself Dusty Rhodes. Daniels made the challenge on Wednesday night, saying that he wants to rid the NWA:TNA of the past to make way for the future. Dusty unsurprisingly took exception to that and accepted Daniels' challenge, setting up this match for the ages. Will the wily veteran Dusty manage to overcome his young adversary, or will 'The Fallen Angel' make a name for himself by beating the legend.

Wednesday night saw the introduction of Team IRON, four men from the now defunct Pro Wrestling Iron, descend on on the NWA:TNA and vow to make it their own personal playground. The third match on XPlosion will feature the NWA:TNA debut of Team IRON's leader Nick Dinsmore in action against an NWA:TNA favourite Shark Boy. Dinsmore and his crew have vowed to walk through all and every NWA superstar they're put up against...will Shark Boy be the first, or will he show Mr Dinsmore what an NWA star is made of?
