razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2004 So far it looks to be: Pierroth and Giant Silva vs Universo 2000 and some other boring luchadores. highlights of Virus vs Havana Brother Ricky for the Super Ligero title Alantis vs Hijo de Perro Aguayo for a memorial belt of some kind. Virus vs Ricky looks good. Virus wins with a sweet combo of Gory Guerrero Special into a pendulium submission. Too bad the match was cut short but the final pinfall was beyond words can explain. Virus is the luchadore mullet god.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2004 I caught the Atlantis vs Hijo de Perro Aguayo match. While it was ok, methinks it's time for Atlantis to hang it up. Most of the technical screwups I saw were from him not being as agile as he used to be. No Bucanero, Guerrero, or Shocker
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2004 Now that I finally have that station, what time does it come on?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2004 Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 Central time. I was disappointed as to why they cut the Super Ligero title match short and shown the damn Pierroth and Giant vs old slow luchadores and Apollo Dantes. Don't the "creative" at Televista Deportes know that the non-spanish speaking viewers do not like to watch slow giants who are so damn useless that they could screw up a simple Spear move. When Apollo Dantes is the best worker in the match something is very wrong.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2004 I quite enjoyed the Sunday show. I only saw three matches, but I must admit that I was quite impressed with Bucanero and Guerrero. I marked out when Bucanero hit a slingshot stunner or something on Vampiro and held it while Guerrero hit a drop kick. The first two falls went a bit quick for me, but the third fall was the most enjoyable things I have seen in wrestling in awhile. I also LOVE these double and triple team moves that I saw on this show. It was also nice to see old WCW luchas like Damien 666 and Halloween. I am still a tad confused on some of the rules, but I must admit that I quite like what little I have seen of lucha so far. I can't wait until the next week's shows. American shows in spanish? All I get on my Telemundo affialate is B & kung fu movies in spanish. Worst dubbing ever. The rules are 2 out of 3 falls. It can be pinfall, submission or EL Foul (kick to the huavos). There is also the Captian rule which applies to trios matches, where as you must pin either the captian or the other 2 luchadores to win the caida.

I remember when I first got the channel I stayed up all night on a Sunday because my friend said they showed lucha, but I've never seen any lucha on the channel ever. All's they show is soccer, NBA Today in spanish, movies, and shows that I think are suppose to be like 20-20, 60 minutes, or Dateline in spanish.
