Perfxion 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 I thought it was dumb to have everyone do mini part of songs. Why Nelly and Diddy doing "Shake Your Tailfeather" to you know, do atleast one full song. Why not Janet doing one song, Kid Rock able to sing more than one verse of each song. And Justin getting a little more time. BTW: It could have been a tassle, that looked too big to be a nipple ring. Jesus christ, she most have a steel pipe for a nipple if that was a ring.

kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 And how about the commercials this year? They were terrible. Yeah, they didn't seeme that great this year. My favorite was the beer one that had the Ref. getting screamed at. I also liked the Monster ad with the interviewer/interviewee doing the same things on the way to the interview... Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted February 2, 2004 I thought the only good one was the alien in the office for FedEx. the worst was either when they showed commercials we've already seen a billion damn times, or the 18,000 dick pill ads.

I was thinking same thing, im thinking like Murphy Lee drove Nelly to the stage anyway, might as well performed "Shake ya tailfeather" with Diddy. I watched TRL earlier and Janet said in a interview that she had a surprise. Janet is a freak thats well known so it didn't surpised me she did that. Maybe, she did it to draw away attention to Michael for now. I've heard she gives lap dances at her concerts.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 I am outraged today. Last night I watched what was the best Super Bowl game that I have EVER seen, and yet, all ANYONE is talking about on TV or on the radio is a freaking tit. Ugh, grow up America. Either do something about it (and they should) or talk about the football game and forget about it. I'm not talking about you guys, it just seems like TV and radio don't want to even mention that a game was going on.

Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted February 2, 2004 The funny thing is, JT was completely honest. He has supposed to rip through one layer, and make her outfit a little more burleskish(american spelling), taking off both 'boob plates' at the same time, revealing the fluffy redness. and more cleavage. Instead he ripped the entire thing off, and we got one boob. You can tell it was accidental by there reaction.

I was finding it hard to believe they would half ass an "accidental" tit shot like that.
Guest Krazy Karter Report post Posted February 2, 2004 B O O B Thanks. Good thing CBS presented that in High-Definition! When I saw it live I was like "oh shit!". My dad didn't see it and he's like "what?" and I'm like "Janet! Boob!". He didn't believe me until this morning when it was on the news. I thought the metal thing was covering the entire nip ala Lil' Kim until today. My great uncle is very religious and my grandmother said he almost broke the TV after the half-time show. Seriously, you'd think with most of the people watching being older than 40 that there'd be artists with more widespread appeal. Somebody like Rolling Stones, GNR or AC/DC. Justin Timberlake was the worst surprise EVER. Not to mention all the kids under 15 that saw boobs for the first time. Fuck MTV.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 2, 2004 current Rolling Stones? yuck faux GNR? yawn It would've still been lame with either of them.

Methinks their message is unclear. Then again, they do refer to themselves as music television while spending untold resources killing music. -=Mike
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted February 2, 2004 NFL Commish Paul Tagliebeau(sp?) released a statement appologising for it. Also said MTV will never have anything to do with the SuperBowl Halftime show again and heads would roll.

phoenixrising 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 Amen to MTV never hosting a halftime show again. Now we can get back to talking about the actual game itself and not some stunt performed by a fading star trying to take the heat off her brother or trying to generate record sales and another pop star who's trying to top his ex-girlfriend's stunt. Maybe the singers will actually, you know, SING for a change. I actually thought the halftime show was all right up until that sorry incident but I just dismissed it and watched a great game. The commercials weren't Super Bowl quality this year either. My personal favorites were the Pepsi commercial with a young Jimi Hendrix and the Budweiser donkey commercial. Guest Krazy Karter Report post Posted February 2, 2004 MTV was CLEARLY trying to create a story....guess they figured that the game would suck... MTV.com today: The tearing of Janet Jackson's costume was unrehearsed, unplanned and completely unintentional and was inconsistent with the assurances we had of the content of the performances. MTV regrets this incident occurred and we apologize to anyone who was offended by it. MTV.com last night: Janet Jackson "got nasty" on the MTV produced Super Bowl halftime show. Jaws across the country hit the carpet at exactly the same time. You know what we're talking about, Justin Timberlake and a kinky finale that rocked the Super Bowl to its core. Any questions? Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted February 2, 2004 local sports radio said that when the cameras pulled off the field from the Streaker before the second half kick-off, LBer/Special Teams player Matt Chattam leveled the streaker because it took security 46 seconds to get on the field for some reason. He was supposed to rip off a lot of what she's wearing, instead he ripped off one part of the costume. Take a look at the pictures and you'll see there were a lot of snaps like the ones around her boobs all over the costume. The MTV hyping was simply for what they thought would be another one of there overblown mild "stunts".

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted February 2, 2004 It's a definate that MTV/Janet/Justin are completely lying about this. They were promising something stunning during the whole thing and I don't think removing a layer from her top is what they were referring to. This is totally on par for the crap MTV does and I hope the FCC fines the hell out of them.
