Skywarp! 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 In the final seconds of the movie, is the audience to take the ending to mean that Ed Norton and his dad are still driving up the West Side Highway, which would mean that Ed Norton is going to jail? Or did they cross the bridge, to mean that he's running for it? Or is the ending just ambiguous?
converge241 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 maybe a little ambiguous but most likely they are just about to come upon the entrance of the prison good movie aside: the whole time im watching it im like "is that tony siragusa? i think it is but that can't be" then sure enough on the credits i see it is
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2004 Yes, he is driving Ed to the prison. Spike and the movie's writer mention it in the commentary track.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 2, 2004 The starting a new life stuff was a dream during his drive to prison. It fooled me for awhile, but at the end you could tell it was just a dream.

Jesse Badass 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2004 I think the ending is ambiguous. Because after that they show him in the car again with his messed up face.

Well thats rather depressing You say that like it's a bad thing. Him running away and starting a new life would've been typical hollywood cheese, not mention making the entire movie pointless.
