Well, when you think about it, the direction of Resurrection and Amelie were very similar. The shots were very alike, the coloring of the film was a lot like City Of Lost Children, and I think the guy that plays Vriess (wheelchair man in Resurrection) was also in Amelie as the ex-boyfriend of the waitress, and in City Of Lost Children as one of the many cloned "sons." Ron Pearlman was also in City Of Lost Children.

Honestly I've never seen Resurrection. I'm just surprised it was directed by the director of Amelie.

There's just such a big dfference between Amelie and the Alien series.

I think Jeunet's one of those director's who likes to use his actors again. He's got an amazing style, in fairness, but he was bound by the shackles of shit that was the Resurrection script. Shame.

Ressurection had it's moments (mostly through visuals). I didn't not enjoy it, just some mindless flick to marvel at then forget (allthough I do realise the argument that it could have been so much more)

I'm gonna go out and state that the first hour and fifteen minutes or so of Resurrection is actually pretty good fun (sure, there's some total crap like the shaky underwater CG and the aLiens spitting acid, but then there's pure GOLD like Ron Perlman shooting a spider to counterbalance it). If you just watch the movie right up to the point where Ripley falls through the floor into the "birth chamber" and stop it right there, you'll feel much better about the movie.
