treble Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Well, I'm stating how I feel about the situation. I don't expect what I'm saying to have some impact on the sale of guns and that every nutjob who's armed to the teeth will suddenly see the light and give up their guns and join me in dancing around trees.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 What do you europeans think about a country like Switzerland, where the citizens are the standing army, and are basically mandated to have weapons (unless I'm greatly misinformed.)? Is THEIR culture a crime-ridden wild west shootout?
EricMM Posted February 11, 2004 Report Posted February 11, 2004 Still, is there an explaination as to the amount of gun deaths in the U.S. vs. other countries, other developed countries that is? I'm just looking for an answer, because it's staggering.

Gun crime wasn't that bad in the 50's --- and I doubt gun ownership was appreciably lower. -=Mike
