Guest Trivia247 Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Ok what is this Crap. Is there a point to Foley's constant Beatdown with no support for weeks now? Foley comes back here and there to go after Orton, but general it is a Three man beat down gangbang on him. is there a point where it turns around. Or are they so Pushing Orton that no shit is suppose to fall on the Chosen Golden Child? and what the fuck man? I was expecting someone...Anyone to come down to the ring to make the save... Be is Austin... Dreamer....a Jobber.. Christ the Rock.. Anyone? That was a waste of ten minutes.
Enigma Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 What made it even more pathetic was that J.R. was selling it as the most brutal thing Foley had ever endured in his career. As if punches, kicks, and stomps were so much more devastating than getting his ear ripped off or Vader's powerbomb on the concrete or all those explosion barbed wire fire matches in Japan.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I think this is leading to the Rock making the save and then the Rock/Sock Connection losing to Orton and Batista in a tag match at Mania.
razazteca Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 It was unsanctioned so Austin could not make the save.
AndrewTS Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 What's not to get? The inexperienced underdog Orton is valiantly trying to rid Raw of yet another greedy, spotlight-hogging fossil who doesn't know when to hang it up. Foley is a moron with 3 too many concussions who walks headlong into a shitkicking every week. It'll culminate in a final battle of G vs. E, with Orton triumphing and banishing Foley from Raw forever*. (* - in other words, for 4 weeks tops, or Foley goes to Smackdown) I find it hilarious that Foley, the ultimate bumpmaster, will not take an unprotected powerbomb from Batista.

Would you take an unprotected powerbomb bump from Batista? The guys injured HIMSELF doing near nothing three times last year.
AndrewTS Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 "Would you take an unprotected powerbomb bump from Batista? The guys injured HIMSELF doing near nothing three times last year. " No, the funny part is that WWE is banking on this guy as a future main eventer, plus a month or two ago you'd be tripping over a Batista fan in this forum all the time.

You mean Dave O'Neill, Journalist cloned himself to make it look like Batista has fans or people who care about him?! NOO!!!!
razazteca Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Well Batista is better than Orton.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I think this is leading to the Rock making the save and then the Rock/Sock Connection losing to Orton and Batista in a tag match at Mania. That's sad on so many levels. I find it hilarious that Foley, the ultimate bumpmaster, will not take an unprotected powerbomb from Batista. He's got SOME brain cells left.
AndrewTS Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Well Batista is better than Orton. ...on the mic. That's it.

jester Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 The sad part is that all this is for nothing. Orton won't get more over by beating up Foley. Marks: "Wow. That guy just beat up the retired guy that HHH always used to slap around....with the help of his two friends. I must buy many Randy Orton t-shirts now."

2GOLD Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I'm kind of shocked they wouldn't use this feud as a springboard for another wrestler as well. Face it, whoever comes out to save Foley is an instant face. Instant. Sure, have Rock return but how about a third man? Heck, Tommy Dreamer WAS perfect since they could have played up his past with Foley. I understanding wanting to get Orton over, but they could have easily used it to springboard another wrestler besides Orton. Rock n Sock vs three men kinda sucks.

Guest Coffey Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 All I know is Randy Orton tried REPEATEDLY to bust open Foley the hard way...and failed with every single attempt. Did you see the knot on Foley's head? My goodness. I guess that's karma for when Foley couldn't bust open Dreamer in ECW.

The worst was Orton attempting the ballshot, getting his leg caught and falling on his ass.
Guest BDC Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Yes, Orton reminded me of Nathan Jones with that segment.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Well Batista is better than Orton. WOW, that's being a little harsh isn't it???
Lil' Bitch Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 WOW, that's being a little harsh isn't it??? Not at all. *also thinks Batista > Orton
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I have a hard time believing that people actually think that Bautista is better. I am not a Orton fanboy by any means, I just think that I'd rather see him botch his finisher than see Bautista kill someone.....but that's probably just me.
humongous2002 Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 It was just another unsuccessful way to get Orton aka Suckbag over.
Guest hunger4unger Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 It's being built up really well IMO. There should be a ton of heat going into the WM match. I'm not sure that adding Rock and Batista into the mix is the right route but perhaps Foley really can't work a 1 on 1 anymore. Orton is going to get such a rub from this feud it's unreal. WWE making new stars, i'm all for it.

Oh thats right, they were in quiet awe from the presence of Batista! [/Jim Ross mode]
Guest Loss Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 The segment was begging for Rock to make the save. That'll probably come next week. Without a happy ending, it had no business going that long.

Guest Loss Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 (edited) Surely, they're not going to do a Rock & Sock v three members of Evolution handicap match either. Someone has to join Foley & Rock to make it an even six-man, and Booker or RVD would have been the right candidate, but it looks like they're going to be tied up with each other now. Not to mention that if Foley is going to have a match, will they bother explaining how he's allowed to do so when he was previously retired and based on that match's stipulation, he's not allowed to come back. Enigma Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Dave Bautista is the only guy I know that could tear his triceps while jogging. And local TV ads for the Atlanta RAW on March 1st end with the announcer saying, "Is this the night when The Rock returns to WWE?" so it looks like he's coming back on this night.
