deancoles 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 (edited) I've always wondered how different Wrestlemania 14 would have been had Bret stayed in the WWF, it seemed likely the Austin would have won the title from Bret and most probably the Hart Foundation storyline would have ended.Undertaker vs Kane was planned in advance but apart from that there were no long term storylines, Shawn was a heel but who would was there to put him against? I decided to make my own Wrestlemania 14 card.I've made Rock feud with Faarooq to free up Shamrock for HBK.Vader is a heel because he's better that way. Bret Hart vs Steve Austin, WWF Championship Undertaker vs Kane Legion of Doom vs Owen and Bulldog, WWF Tag Championship Shawn Michaels vs Ken Shamrock, WWF European Championship Cactus Jack vs Vader, No Holds Barred The Rock vs Faarooq, WWF Intercontinental Championship The New Age Outlaws vs The Headbangers Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs Ahmed Johnson 20 man Battle Royal What do you guys think? any matches you would have had instead? EDIT: Mike Tyson isn't involved because Austin /Hart doesn't need the heat like Michaels/Austin did. Edited February 25, 2004 by deancoles411
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 25, 2004 No Way would have Shawn DROP himself to the Euro title at WM. I would not been shocked if they went with the DX Split at that point and gone with Heel HHH Vs Face Turned Shawn... Owen/Shawn could have been a possibility... I would have let Shawn win the match and drop the belt to Owen at a canadian episode of Raw. EDIT: Bulldog could also have won it at Mayhem In Manchester a week after Wrestlemania 14.Then him and Owen could feud because Bulldog has a title and Owen doesn't. JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 I think the original plan was for Bret to win at Survivor Series 97, Shawn to win a 4way for the title at the DX IYH, Shawn to win a ladder match at the Royal Rumble, and then Bret to win the title back the RAW after that with his career on the line. They could easily have had HHH be the one to cost HBK the match, and lead to a match between the two of them at Wrestlemania. Weird to think about, really! Bret vs. Austin Taker vs. Kane HBK vs. HHH Foley and Funk vs. NAO Rock vs. Shamrock Owen and Bulldog vs LOD Taka vs. Aguila Goldust/Luna vs. Mero/Sable And there you go. Guest Stunt Granny Report post Posted February 25, 2004 I think Shawn would have opted to sit out again this year since his back was messed up. He would not not be seen for the rest of the year. WWF starts to get huge ratings, Vince realizes he doesn't need Shawn's ego, WHAM Shawn gets released goes to WCW and fails to do anything significant for the rest of his career. Gets kicked in the head by Goldberg, goes stupid, never finds God, and dies in a hotel room.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 25, 2004 his back didn't get messed up until RR... If we're assuming bret stuck along...we're figuring KARMA never kicked shawn's ass.
treble 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 I'm sure Shawn would have weaseled his way into the title picture somehow.

EDIT: Mike Tyson isn't involved because Austin /Hart doesn't need the heat like Michaels/Austin did. Ugh. No offense, but that card looks HORRIBLE after the top two. Legion of Doom vs Owen and Bulldog, WWF Tag Championship Too hard to tell. They had a PPV match in 1997 I wasn't very fond of. Shawn Michaels vs Ken Shamrock, WWF European Championship They IYH: DX Main Event match they had sucked. I wouldn't pay for it again. Cactus Jack vs Vader, No Holds Barred Sadly, Vader was treated like shit and wasn't even put on WM XIV originally. As a fantasy match, then it would be fine but I'm thinking realistic. The Rock vs Faarooq, WWF Intercontinental Championship The over the edge match sucked. The New Age Outlaws vs The Headbangers Ew....Head Bangers in TAG TITLE MATCHES at WRESTLEMANIA!? Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs Ahmed Johnson I'm pretty sure Ahmed was already gone, but this match would suck too. 20 man Battle Royal I mark for Battle Royales, but they usually aren't very good. No argument though.

What I gather from the quote, you asked if "Someone dressed like Sting would get over", and I thought back to when WWF thought dressing 2 people up as Ramon & Diesel after Nash & Hall left, and the fans shat all over it. Guest JMA Report post Posted February 26, 2004 I think Bret staying would have vastly changed things. Remember, the slightest change made to the past drastically changes the future (or present). I see Bret winning at Survivor Series '97 due to botched interference from DX.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted February 26, 2004 I meant a big name with face paint not someone actually dressed like Sting!!! Thanks. "Does anyone think if a guy wore like a cool outfit and wore face paint like Sting use to wear not the same design but the face paint was big and they where a good worker would they get over or just be a joke just wondering and I thought it would be a good time to ask since we are talking about Hardcore Holly's new trunks. Thanks. " Most fans don't like cheap imitations, even if it's not suppose to be one. Example: The Renegade Not really Warrior, but doesn't look anything like him, but everyone said Warrior rip off, and that was what he was. Edit: Wait, what I said was Renegade WAS a rip off. Damn.
