The Super Tuesday Debate

come on Kerry... do the typical "I just came back from (random town) in (random state) and I met with folks like (random elderly couple) who are struggling every day under this economy..."

I fucking HATE that technique... I hated it when Gore did it, and I hate it even more with Kerry does it

So is this the ground breaking debate that Edwards needs to break Kerry's momentum?? I'm getting a bad feeling...

And now, Edwards makes the rebuttal on Sharpton's talk about special interests.

I've read that there are questions about Sharpton's campaign and the money it has.

Why doesn't a candidate simply ask him to explain it?

WHO KEEPS COUGHING?!

Yeah, that was annoying me too. A cameraman or something I'd imagine.

Kerry not putting the murderer of a 5 year old to death... Yeah, that'll play well in the media. Though I'm sure some did like that asnwer.

Not really a Dukakis moment though - they've learned from that, although his "strangle him with my bare hands" attempt fell pretty damn flat. Kerry wouldn't know what genuine emotion was if you handed it to him on porcelain with asparagus on the side.

The only other thing I really have to say is that Larry King is a fuckin' putz. Couldn't moderate a debate to save his life. He's grown up sucking celebrity cock, made his ridiculous career with paparazzi facials, and it shows. Doesn't know when to shut his mouth, doesn't have the balls to open it when he should. Everyone, and I mean everyone, rode him like a two-bit whore tonight.

I find it funny that people call Fox a lightweight news channel --- but CNN has Larry Friggin' King moderating a debate?

Was the cameraman too preoccupied to do it? I doubt he'd do worse.

My name is Jobber Of The Week and I approve of this message.

Edwards made a good move at the finish talking about giving colledge educations again and again, although I think he made a mistake refusing to answer the "do you regret it" question. Previously he said he wouldn't have done it knowing what he knows now on WMDs, etc.

I hope it is.

The rain just started, so there went the TV reception (DirecTV.) Tuning it in on radio right now.

And they say rain doesn't affect DTV.....

It was hilarious when they all ducked the foreign-born President question. I guess they realised a "yes" would play well in CA but terribly everywhere else.

I'd have killed for Kerry to answer the question --- just to see how he'd tie in his service in Vietnam.

And yet, last I checked, it was another state's Republican who propsed the amendment to Congress.

And he, like the governor of your state, is wrong. Your point?

Well, I don't think it will "only" play well in this state (I'm not sure how well it will play in this state anyway.) If that's so, then whoever it was (Hatch? I can't remember) will have an issue flung his way come re-election time.

What money? The guy cant even afford plane tickets to other states to campaign last I heard

And, of course no one is going to question it.... he'll play the race card. Notice how no one goes after Sharpton in the debates? It's not because he's a non factor in the election, it's because they're afraid, and rightfully so, that he'll turn it into a race driven subject... he could stand up there and claim the world was flat and Adolf Hitler killed Jesus, and the candidates would quickly move to another subject
