Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 8, 2004 I think just for fun since Angle and Lesnar are both heels, after WM 20, instead of chasing after Eddie each to be fed to him sooner (which shouldn't happen yet), they should be buddy buddies again and team up and win the WWE Tag Team Championship for something to do in the early midyear. You could say this could be 2004's version of "Power Trip". Not only would it help revive the division, but it should encourage WWE to make up some new tag pairs. Two men who feuded for 11 months have no business teaming.

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 Two men who feuded for 11 months have no business teaming. Fuck logic. WWE does that enogh times. I would just like to see the possible workrate take place. How would that revive the tag division? Because since they're big names who would kill the competition, this would cause X Tag Team to chase after them since its more meaningful. For example, if TWGTT wanted their proves that they really are TWGTT, they could go after Angle / Lesnar to get the belts back.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 I don't understand why anyone would discuss/argue/debate this with a person who says "fuck logic". You can't reason with someone who denies reason.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 Austin and HHH holding the tag titles didn't exactly revitalize the tag division. It didn't need to be revitalized then. I don't understand why anyone would discuss/argue/debate this with a person who says "fuck logic". You can't reason with someone who denies reason. Because WWE is guilty of fucking logic plenty of times. For my angle to work and I would like to, it would have to require a fuck of logic, but I don't care because I know something good would come out of it. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 And that excuses it, how, exactly? Because they did it before and they're gonna do it again. So if something illogical happens and it will, you shouldn't be surprised.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 8, 2004 Who said it would surprise me? Expected, unexpected, whatever, the very IDEA of two men who feuded tooth and nail over the World title for close to a year, and then both of them continued to focus on the world title after their feud, would both suddenly and randomly give up their persuit of the world title to team up with each other and chase the tag titles makes my head hurt. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 But AS, who cares about the details of the storyline, they will have great workrate!!!!!!!!!!!! The ends damn sure justify the means here. WORKRATE!!! Who cares if it's surrounded by a illogical, nonsensical, moronic storyline? WORKRATE!!!!!! Why, Brock/Angle was the Feud of the Year for 2003 and it didn't make a lick of sense! WORKRATE!!!!!!

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 8, 2004 How would they do that? Win or lose to Eddie at Judgment Day. Neither one has to happen. And dropping down to chase a midcard title is more of a cred killer.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 You're not getting it AS. They aren't "dropping down", they're elevating the titles. I mean, Austin and HHH did such a good job at bringing respectibility to the IC and Tag titles that its sure to work again here.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 Neither one has to happen. Yeah, that's true, but I'm guessing they'll have Angle or Lesnar chase after Eddie. And dropping down to chase a midcard title is more of a cred killer. I can see where you're coming from, but in my mind, it just gives them something to do in the meantime since nobody reallys care Backlash, JD, Bad Blood, etc. the 2nd rate mediocre throwaway PPVs. I would save Brock / Eddie II, Kurt / Eddie II for Vengeance or SummerSlam, save it for the much bigger scale where it matters more.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 8, 2004 Neither one has to happen. Yeah, that's true, but I'm guessing they'll have Angle or Lesnar chase after Eddie. Big Show. Eddie's WWE title push has been sold as "rolling over" former champions. How would losing to Eddie kill Angle or Lesnar's credibility Losing to the same guy two PPV's in a row would fuck them up a little. Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted March 8, 2004 How would losing to Eddie kill Angle or Lesnar's credibility Losing to the same guy two PPV's in a row would fuck them up a little. That's a reasonable enough argument, but as you pointed out, having Angle and Lesnar job the tag titles would be even more damaging. Call it the lesser of two evils, if you will. Because it would show Eddie's wins weren't flukes. And jobbing the tag titles to Haas & Benjamin wouldn't kill their credibility?

I wouldn't do either. I'd give them both designated job boys so it looks like all three are on a collision course.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 Big Show. Eddie's WWE title push has been sold as "rolling over" former champions. I don't know how I forgot about him, but I did. I actually would like Big Show / Eddie Guerrero II to happen at JD. I don't know how the rest of the board feels, but I'm all up for it. And how, exactly are we gonna buy the two guys that just jobbed the tag titles as a world title threat? Well, it worked for Kurt before. All it took was one match to get him back in the main event picture.

haVoc 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2004 I like the idea of Brock/Angle as tag champs if they get to work with TWGTT. But like everyone else, it wouldn't make sense. Let Angle continue on with Eddie and let Brock and Big Show destroy the tag division until TWGTT makes the huge upset and beats them for the titles. The next month or two after Mania is usually just filler until Summer anyway. Aw, fuck it! WWE will pull the ultimate swerve and send Triple H to SD after Mania where he'll beat them all for the next two years... including Edge.
