Metal buddies, I need opinions on these bands

Recently I've just found out from these two bands, Elvenking, which is viking/power metal type of a band, and Sikth, which I have no explination what kind of genre of metal it is.

Really I don't think anything special about Sikth, and have to be in the right mood and Elvenking is pretty good if you like Power Metal. Check them out both if you haven't heard of them, and if you have I'd like some feedback

I haven't heard of the other band, but Sikth are pretty good IMO, especially How May I Help You?, which also had a great video. They're getting quite popular here in the UK, and their tour with Akercocke was pretty successful. I do agree that you have to be in a certain mood for Sikth though.

Sikth are pretty hit and miss, from what I've heard previously. On the one hand I love 'Scent Of The Obscene' on the other I hate 'How May I Help You'. The rest of their songs I could pretty much take or leave.

Never heard 'em. The name to me it sounds like Rob Halford saying "Sixth" after about 11 mimosas.

If I remember this rightly, the one song I heard of Sikth was somewhat out there and spacy BM that didn't offend me.
