Over the years backyard wrestling naturally stigmatized to being known as something “evil” and by many in the wrestling community is looked at as nothing more than a joke.

Times have changed and the truth is now revealed!

Backyard Criminals will take you into the world of backyard wrestling that you’ve never seen before and show you teenage backyard wrestlers so talented you won’t believe your own eyes. These backyard wrestlers don’t need barbed-wire bats and flaming chairs! These backyard wrestlers have perfected the art of wrestling and the footage of the technically gifted wrestlers on this DVD will leave you in disbelief that backyard wrestlers could be so talented and impressive!

Celebrity wrestlers throughout the production will share with you their honest opinions about backyard wrestling and what they say will shock you!

Wrestlers included on the DVD are The Sandman, Vampiro, Vic Grimes, Konnan, New Jack and America’s favorite backyard wrestler… Josh Matthews!

An exclusive backyard wrestling music video of Josh Matthews and a home shot interview with Josh Matthews will take you into the mind and soul of a young backyard wrestling dreamer that wanted to make it to the big time and he did make it to the big time!

Warriors of Wrestling, a backyard wrestling federation based out of New Jersey, will sweat and bleed as they wrestle in front of several hundred fans and you will feel the adrenaline caught on tape of their remarkable performances! Nothing more than a group of high school friends that loves to wrestle and entertain, draw crowds in the hundreds in a backyard with freezing cold weather and it’s because the Warriors of Wrestling can put on such an amazing wrestling performance that Backyard Criminals now brings to wrestling fans around the world.

Backyard Criminals the DVD includes several action packed music videos, numerous full length backyard wrestling matches and professional wrestlers such as The Sandman, Vampiro, Vic Grimes, Konnan, New Jack, [LucharesuFan619's NOTE: The interviews with Sandman, Vamp, Grimes, Konnan, and New Jack were conducted backstage at XPW New Year's Revolution 2 in January 2002. Clips of the interviews were briefly put up on backyardcriminals.com and from what I remember seeing of them, they looked cool.] Josh Matthews, the best backyard wrestlers in the world and much more in nearly 100 minutes of pure backyard wrestling entertainment! And remember… Wrestling is not a crime!

That DVD took over 2 years to put together and I know that many feds involved still haven't gotten tapes back that they gave BYC.

Anyway, it's tough to call this a true 'byw' tape when it features vampiro and sandman.

Also, having 'criminals' in the DVD's title doesn't win it any points from me either.

Now HERE's some good 'backyard wrestling'!

So, how long until WWE sues the makers of this video? You just know they're not happy about one of their current announcers being on a backyard wrestling DVD.

Josh actually does spell it with one T. Just that people on the internet can't seem to READ THE DAMN SCREEN. Sure, no one cares about Josh, but when his name is written on the screen on a weekly basis and people still can't spell it... It's like Batista, with people still including a U for no apparant reason.

However, I seem to remember Josh's audition tape being shown on Raw before the TE premiere that had a completely different surname. Either they put up the wrong name at that point, or Mathews isn't his real name anyway.

But on TV, WWE's Josh Mathews is spelled as such, and so the DVD has gotten it right.

If this DVD actually does focus on BYW that actually wrestles, then it's about time they got some recognition. A nationally released DVD is a bit over the top though.

Actually, I was referring to the fact that they forgot the "s" at the end of his name, dude...oyyyyy...nice, try, though.

I don't see how those "name' wrestlers will help sell the DVD, as they all suck. Well backyard fans tend to like crap, I guess it will be the "extra insentive" to buy the dvd. Frankly I wouldn't buy it. I proibly wouldn't watch it if it was given to me. But that's just me.
