Well we all heard the stunning announcement made by Vince tonight, as The Brands are RESETING back to one and it's another Lottery.

Vince said the General managers of both brands aren't adequately doing their jobs. I'm guessing Heyman gets fired from Smackdown somehow prompting him to restart ECW.

 

This is a positive step for the company, and if done right could make a lot of money. The brand extension has *killed* the rosters by hindering possible matchups. Vince is 100% correct in making this move.

I think there should be some sort of contest.

 

Pick a certain number of wrestlers for each roster.

 

2 points for a correct pick in order, 1 point for a correct pick.

This is the exact same garbage that happened in 2002, and it cost them millions. I don't see how this is a good move. It's just hitting the reset button.

 

Actually, since none of these current storylines are working, they have nothing left to lose.

For some reason, this reminds me exactly of the Smackdown video games...

 

 

The reasoning for this reset is pretty obvious to me. Hunter just appeased the whole smart crowd by cleanly dropping the title to Beniot. Somehow I have a feeling the only reason why he did this was so that he can now go after the WWE title, which everyone knows is the real title. Since he did the job to Beniot, it is only fair that Eddy puts him over.

A draft would have been better because the undrafted guys would have had to fend for themselves by forming rebel groups, be it ECW or something else.

 

I can just imagine Spike picketing all the shows with a "Will Job For Food" sign.

He didn't say the brand extension is dead. He said the rosters needed a change, so Smackdown stars will come to Raw for the LOTTERY only. It just means the rosters for the shows are changing, not that the extension is ending.

Nah...I liked Heel Degenerate Shawn the Most...Let Shawn go back to that with a dapple of his current "Holier then Thou" attitude and Keep Angle's current sthick and run with it...

I'd Have The Benoit/HBK Blowoff at Backlash...Benoit retaining...HBK saying fuck that and going COMPLETE heel...Does something with Jericho again (after he finishes the X program) just to kill time and then kick into the Summer Angle/HBK Program leading to HBK putting Angle over as he goes and gets his surgery and presumably retires...Angle does a "Fairwell tour" and retires with ONE more match with Benoit as a thank you to the fans.

This is good in that they have blown most of the matchups on each roster. However, I thought it would be a limited number of trades between the rosters rather than a full-blown shakeup.

 

The reason this is happening probably isn't due to Taker or Trips throwing a bitch-fit but, rather, because both Goldberg and Brock left. They actually had some plans while Brock was still in the picture but, with him gone, they scrapped everything and started over, much like Vince beating Flair the night Austin walked out in 2002.
