Mole 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Well, there was my nasty run. Where the fuck is everyone? Or do most of you have friends who actually watch basketball and don't have to watch it by yourself? Anyway, this is one sloppy game so far. I think it is because each team is so damn good, they are just trying to play a fast game, which turns into sloppy play. Plus, Gordon isn't playing well at all. He isn't doing at what he does best, and that is one of the reasons UConn isn't playing well. That and Emeka is sitting on the bench with two fouls. Guest Jimbo Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I'm settling down to watch it on the nice TV, Moleslayer, no more webcasts for me, so I'm not around much during the game... I am suprised that Calhoun never let Okafor play again in the first half, but I guess it was a good decision. However, Sheldon Williams is a dumbshit. 3 REACH IN fouls!?! Think, man, THINK! Same with RAndolph...what's the matter with them.. It should be noted, that if Duke hadn't missed so many lay ups in the first 8 minutes, they would be up by 20. Williams, for example, missed his first 6 shots. I am so excited to see this second half.
sfaJack 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 The best thing about Ok St going down is NO MORE JOHN LUCAS (JR, not III). I swear, if I had to see another camera shot of him in the crowd or hear another interview with him talking about wonderful his son is, I was gonna puke. HE IS (WAS) NOT THE FUCKING STORY! On the other hand, Duke is leading. The last thing I want is them in the title game.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I know that as a sportswriter I'm going to have to ask retarded questions, but did you just hear what Gumbel asked GT coach Paul Hewitt? "Coach, did this game go the way you wanted it to?" Well, seeing as they won a game that no one really thought they even had a shot at winning, I think the answer is obvious. Williams, for example, missed his first 6 shots. I am so excited to see this second half. I think Calhoun didn't put Emeka back for a few reasons. A) He has 2 fouls. B) He could still be hurt, so he wants to save him for the second half. C) He is just so pumped up because of the the game, he might get another foul really quick. D) They gave him a great painkiller for the pain, but at the same time they gave him something so he wouldn't get tired. He might be TOO pumped up and foul out. Did you hear that stat they just said? Gordon hasn't scored a FG since Emeka has been out. When Gordon plays well, UConn plays well. Simple as that.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 This is what I don't like. Everyone said that Duke/UConn was the national title game. OSU seemed like the only team that had a chance to beat those two teams in the final and they lost tonight. SO....... if GA Tech gets murdered by Duke or UConn then everyone is right. So as much as it pains me I have to root for GA Tech to win the National Title so that Dick Vitale's dumbass is wrong.
Mole 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I can see G. Tech winning it all. Pulling a SU from last year.

Bored 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I soooooooo didn't want to see an All-ACC final and Vitale spewing his man juice all over his t.v. so glad UConn won.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Man......I'm glad UConn beat Duke. I really don't care who wins the National Title game. I was all for OSU winning it all. But now that they're out I could care less about who's left. Hell I probably won't even watch the National Title game. But good job UConn. I hate those Duke fuckers. Guest Jimbo Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I'm not Ah well, bett luck next year, Dukies... Great game, thought it would have been nice if Ewing and Deng hadn't thrown up those retarded jumper's at the end. There was 20+ seconds left on the clock all 3 times and they shoot friggin' 3's!?!?! Nice job, UConn, although the officiating was crap and Duke handed them the game...
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Nice job, UConn, although the officiating was crap and Duke handed them the game... Please. The officiating was fine (except for Okafor's second foul which was a ghost foul).. don't make excuses for Duke's poor execution.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 I'm glad there aren't any OSU fans making excuses.....b/c they flat out got beat. As did Duke.....but I have a feeling there's a line of Duke fans around the corner with Dick Vitale leading them to present there excuses.
Mole 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2004 BY GAWD, that was a game. Wow, Emeka was the one who brought UConn through. Once Williams and Horvath fouled out, I knew UConn would win. There was no way that the other guy, forgot his name, could stop him. I could see G. Tech winning on Monday though.

Guest Jimbo Report post Posted April 4, 2004 Not saying it was poor only for Duke, but the random touch fouls they were calling were total shit.
Guest Redhawk Report post Posted April 4, 2004 **Does the Brock Lesnar happy dance** There were bad calls both ways. I saw J.J. Reddick basically act like Jerome Bettis on one play and not get called for anything, so Duke got away with things, too. And even Duke Vitale said it wasn't officiating. Only thing I'm worried about is Duke's team NEXT year. The only real impact player they're losing is Duhon. Everyone else (Reddick, Deng, Williams, Ewing, Dockery, etc.) is coming back, plus they're getting a few McDonald's All-Americans as usual.

He was like, "I've been saying UConn all along," and he also said that while there were some bad calls, at the end it was left up to the players. What was kind of irritating is that Vitale was more like, "Duke lost" than "UConn won."
