If she isn't leaving as a result of her "haircut," then WWE are going to have to do something with her - but I don't know what.

Yeah, it's pretty sad they can't give her anything decent. If they gave her a decent character, she'd probably get over very quickly, as she's pretty charismatic and isn't half bad on the mic either. If only they could recapture the popularity of the original Molly character or of Mighty Molly. I'm still hoping this eventually leads to a babyface turn somewhere down the line, as i'm certain that she could easily be the top face if she got the chance, or even a proper run as a credible heel would be nice.

Actually, a return to the old character isn't to unlikely when you think about it. I found a little bit of a newspaper article from last year on Molly's site, and well it kind of explains what she wants to do...

“Now I am just a bad guy for no other reason than that I want to be bad,” Greenwald said. “If it were up to me I would go back to the country bumpkin character,” Greenwald said. “I love playing the underdog girl next door.”

Now I wonder, if in exchange for doing this angle, Molly might get what she wants and will return to the smiling babyface character she played so well. If they're going to pull her off TV for a while (after they finish this feud with Victoria), they could just have her leave for a while, say she found her real self and there you go, an opening for the babyface Molly return. While it's a bit far fetched, it's a possibility, especially after Raw this week when despite being a heel, and being booked as such, she looked very much the sympathetic figure.

That's just like the Razor Ramon (Scott Hall) face turn from about 10 years ago. The [insert stupid gimmick name here] Kid was chainging his name EVERY week, and was getting squashed like over-riped grapes.

 

Then, he beat Razor Ramon with a half-decent Moonsault off the top rope, and Ramon never heard the end of it. Every heel on the show then pecked on him mercilessly. Eventually, he just face-turned.

 

Who knows, we might get a Molly face turn out of it. With Victoria turning face, and Trish turning Super Heel, who knows? Maybe Lita will be next, and team up with Matt. Personally, I like it when they shake things up every once in a while. It keeps things interesting.
