Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Recommended Posts

I bought the DVD and I'M happy at least. It's really no big deal if you already bougt it. When the new one is released, or just before, just sell the other one to someone else and use that money to go towards buying the new one. Look at it as an extended rental.

Of course that's how I always look at the double dips.

If they were able, they should have had the 2-disc come out with the single, but if for some reason they couldn't release them on the same day, I'm glad they went ahead and offered the single, because I've enjoyed watching the DVD.

I'm happy to buy the DVD but knowing I wasted $26 (Canadian) on it really pisses me off especially since the one thing I didn't like was the weak extras.

I'm not digging the cover for the 2-disc Collector's Edition. The whole "Magical, smart, brilliant, unforgettable, etc." thing is a bit much.

I really wish they would have announced the Collector's Edition in advance. The regular version was released just last month. If I had known that a CE edition would be released so soon, I probably would have waited.

I liked the movie a lot, but unless the extras are really good, I'll pass on the CE.

This is way off topic, but hell, I don't care.

What the fuck is with all of the praise for Collateral? The editing was shit (what the fuck was up with the coyote?! WHY?!), most of the characters were fairly forgettable and uninteresting (I like Jamie Foxx and all, but I couldn't give less of a shit about him in this flick...Cruise is the only thing that saved it from total crapulence, IMO), the end defied logic (Jamie Foxx is able to get to the building and save the girl despite the fact that he's about a mile away from her and Tom Cruise is actually in the building), and the flick was about as easy on the eyes as Danny DeVito, naked, slathered in corn oil, and stroking his fat-encapsulated, uncut member. That's what you get when you shoot a film on DV. And Michael Mann is directing.

I seriously had a fucking migraine when it was over just due to the ugliness and absolutely awful camera movement/pacing. The scene in the club with the big shootout stands out in all of the shit of the movie. That scene wasn't merely shit...it was rhinocerous poo.

Have at thee, knaves.

This is why I never buy a movie when it's first released on DVD. There's almost always a better edition coming along down the pike. Thank god I have both the patience of a saint and the bank account of a monk. I await the Super Deluxe Edition with baited breath, especially since that's right around my birthday. :headbang:
