Guest Eric the Eagle Report post Posted April 20, 2004 We used to have WWF Superstars and later WCW's infamous Disneyland tapings shown on a joint Scandinavian channel from the late 80's to mid-90s. The wrestling might have sucked a lot of the time, but... Good god, those commentators. These guys came right out with the "it's predetermined, but they're real athlethes" line, and then proceeded to shoot all over the place. They HATED Lex Luger, and went on curse-laden bitter rants every time Sullivan or Duggan would show his face. They were really caught up in it, too, so a really well-worked match would have them forget shooting totally. It was just weird, but entertaining as all hell. A few bites (taken from memory and translated, admittedly) "Why is this guy even on TV?" "I told you, he's on the booking team." "Can't he just book himself OFF the cards, then?" (about Kevin Sullivan, if memory serves) "No, no, no! It's the only bloody move he knows, and he walks right into it!" Words may vary. Heenan: This is going to be a great match, roll it. Schiavone: Brain we're live. Heenan: All right fine, live it.
