Guest Goodear Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Give Shane his pops, the man is pretty entertaining in the ring - Shane is the WORST McMahon. He personally ruined Kane's push. Steph is the worst McMahon. She ruined Jericho's push and Jericho is better than Kane. But she didn't beat Jericho up in the process for a month strait. Shane took a much more direct hand in derailing an angle that was on the verge of creating big money for the company.
Internet Warfare Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I still dont see how this is the THE MOST SHOCKING NEWS IN THE HISTORY OF THE WWE
justcoz Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 What would WWE be like if Stephanie McMahon had fallen in love and married someone like Spanky? You still have to wonder what would happen to HHH's career if he screws up the marriage somehow. I think he's wiser than that, he probably envisions himself out there at the age of 60 being a hybrid of Mr. McMahon and Ric Flair. I'd love for him to get busted messing around on her though. LISTEN TO THE PITTSBURGH MUSIC SCENE, BANDS COMING TO PITTSBURGH AND PROGRESSIVE INDEPENDENT MUSIC...

It has been brought up here already. Probably they wouldn't want it to appear outwardly that his relationship with her is the whole reason he was being pushed so hard all the time, so they would keep it up. Then, they'd probably treat him more as a normal wrestler, maybe with more privileges, but not like a Taker or Austin. With Steph though, who the hell knows? We already know she's a freak, so if she caught him cheating she might jump in herself. What would WWE be like if Stephanie McMahon had fallen in love and married someone like Spanky? Vince probably wouldn't allow it.
Spaceman Spiff Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Give Shane his pops, the man is pretty entertaining in the ring - Shane is the WORST McMahon. He personally ruined Kane's push. Come to think of it, maybe Shane isn't that bad, after all...
Guest Askewniverse Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Kurt mentioned Essa Rios in both of those blame game sessions in 2000, and shortly after, Vince would just randomly throw his name in when talking about big stars. it became the funniest running joke on the show. The Angle-Rios segments ruled. My favorites: (Foley has just accused Angle of running over Austin) Angle: "Why are you looking at me? Why aren't you looking at Essa Rios? Why can't it be Essa? Everybody knows it's always the quiet ones." (Angle is in the locker room, looking for his new T-shirt. Essa Rios walks by) Angle: "Have you seen my new T-Shirt?" (Essa says something in Spanish) Angle: "Is that alcohol I smell on your breath? Did you steal my T-shirt and sell it to buy tequila? I'll tell you what. If you do me a little favor, I'll forgive you. Here's some money. Could you go to the T-shirt stand and buy me a new one? If you're back in five minutes, I'll even let you keep the change to buy some tacos. You like tacos, right?" (Essa slaps the money out of Angle's hand and says something in Spanish) Angle: "What did you just say?" Essa (in English): "I want you in the ring!" (Essa walks off) Angle: "Now I know he's been drinking."

OldSchoolWrestling Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Did this necessarily deserve it's own thread? Well, everything else like it seemed to. It was kayfabed, to an extent - what do you expect? Who else could she say? If it was kayfabed wouldn't she have to choose a face? Or at least one of the champs?
Cherry Blossom Viscount Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Which is surprising, considering that everyone knew that it was Hulk Hogan. It's sad when even they don't pop for a cheap-pop super-face. Where's that "joke going over person's head" pic when we REALLY need it?
NYU Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Which is surprising, considering that everyone knew that it was Hulk Hogan. It's sad when even they don't pop for a cheap-pop super-face. Oh God. Look up the word "sarcasm." Of course Hogan got a reaction as Mr. America! He was still getting one of the loudest pops on the entire Smackdown roster! You mind telling me what shows you were watching?

Downhome Posted March 25, 2004 Author Report Posted March 25, 2004 It wasn't actually as bad as it should've been.
