Guest hunger4unger Report post Posted March 25, 2004 http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30000-13026114,00.html This is a man who armed the IRA, blew up western airliners. .is it right to get Libya "onside" with our "War On Terror" or is he one of those that we should be going after? Sure, Gadaffi has dismantled his WMD programs which is all very well but pictures of Blair shaking the blood stained hands of Gadaffi is too much. Also, Libyan soldiers are going to be heading to the UK for training - now that is a joke. They won't last five minutes before they have the shit beaten out of them by British soldiers. tommytomlin 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2004 Isn't diplomacy a better solution to neutralise a threat than a war? Why 'take out' Gadaffi through conflict when he no longer poses a threat? Didn't you oppose the war in Iraq? And now you're having a go at Blair for resolving a conflict through diplomacy? What exactly SHOULD he have done?
Guest hunger4unger Report post Posted March 25, 2004 I'm kind of torn between both sides: on one hand I feel that he shouldnt be allowed to get away with having funded terrorists but on the other I think it is a good move to neutralize Libya through diplomacy. Hmm, so Blair is wrong to meet with a guy who has unilaterally ended his WMD program and has asked to rejoin the int'l communiy, and we were wrong to NOT do that with somebody who DIDN'T? Is that how it works? Only forgive the non-repentant? -=Mike
