JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2004 I just like to copy everyone else because I have no mind of my own. Tonight: Harvard vs. Maine Miami vs. Denver Wisconsin vs. Ohio State Holy Cross vs. North Dakota
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2004 Right now Harvard leads the #1 team in the country, Maine, 2-0 after 1 period.

JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2004 how good are my hawks? They were 23-13-4 this year...they're a good team, but might have a tough draw since they're playing Denver in Colorado and then they'll probably have to play North Dakota, one of the best teams in the country. 3-1 Harvard near the end of the second. JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 4-4 Maine/Harvard, about 6 minutes to go. North Dakota/Holy Cross to start soon. Head to www.uscho.com for more.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2004 Maine comes back from 4-1 down to win 5-4. ND up 1-0 on HC.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted March 27, 2004 There is absolutely no coverage of this at all where I live, and there's two big ten schools in there, not to mention that Holy Cross isn't even 3 hours up the interstate. Why doesn't this stuff get televised? I'll tell you why, because everyone in Indiana is obsessed with friggin' college basketball. I hate the sport of basketball anymore, really I do. I think the squeaking of the shoes finally got to me.
Gert T 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Well, my parents are UND grads so I guess I'll have to root for them, although it would have been nice to see Miami advance, go Sioux!
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Frozen four so far: Maine (over Wisconsin in OT) Denver (over UND 1-0) Sunday's games: BC vs. Michigan Minnesota vs. Minnesota-Duluth
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Minnesota-UMD will be a great game tomorrow. I think the winner of that game will go on to win the National Championship.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Minnesota-UMD will be a great game tomorrow. I think the winner of that game will go on to win the National Championship. Agreed. I'm pissed UND lost today, but Denver just shut them down and their goalie played great. UMD/UMN vs. Maine in the finals is my pick.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2004 Minnesota-Maine II-The Blackbears strike back That would be a great championship game. Especially if it reaches the levels of the game two years ago.

Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 UMD beats Minnesota and Boston College over Michigan. UMD beat Minnesota 5 out of 6 times. So the Frozen Four is set Denver vs Minnesota-Duluth Maine vs Boston College The obvious home ice goes to B.C. but like I mentioned earlier the winner of Minnesota-UMD would go on to win the National Championship. UMD over Denver Maine over Boston College UMD over Maine
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2004 Vern, I agree with your winners up to the actual final game ... so, we agree that it'll be Maine vs. UMD for the title. But I've got my proverbial money on Maine winning it all. Yes, BC has the home ice advantage, but you saw how well that worked out for UNH.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2004 Not seeing Maine play this season. I can only go by wht I've seen from UMD. It's a vetern team many guys played juniors, good defense, with a nice group of offensive talent.
Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted March 30, 2004 As a Maine student I actually have the option of going to the Frozen Four. But the stupid NCAA has no student discount, so I would have to pay $141 for tickets to all three games. That's pretty steep for tickets that are apparently pretty average. Part of me wants to do it, as it would be a once-in-a-lifetime thing, but my wallet is arguing against me.
