Guest Anglesault Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Jeter's lead off double scared me. I thought someone had killed the Yankees we've come to know this year. Luckily, Bernie, A-Rod and Jason were able to put my mind at ease.
sfaJack Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Am I the only one who prefers the Cubs' blue "alternate" jerseys to these ugly-ass grey ones they're wearing today? Did I hear it right that the fourth inning he just finished was Russ Ortiz's first scoreless inning he's thrown this year? Ouch.
sfaJack Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Mussina blows. That's what you get for trading Jeff Weaver.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 In his career? Yes. This year...there aren't many people worse than Mussina so far...and Weaver certainly isn't one of them.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Weaver in NY was horrendous. He would be worse than Mussina if he was here.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Well, you had to know that they'd find way to blow Crosby's big hit.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Crosby's the best player on the Yankees so far this year. Thank God for them that 2 of there pitchers (Brown and Vazquez) are studs.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Wow... Bubba Crosby is a one man show today. Fuck Kenny Lofton, stay hurt.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Well, Chris Jericho taught me that the way to reinjure a quad is to hit it with a sledgehammer. I'll be right back. GARY~!
Guest Choken One Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Anyone with EI like to update me on the reds game? It's on tv and the radios in the other room
Guest Anglesault Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Anyone with EI like to update me on the reds game? It's on tv and the radios in the other room 4-1 Bucs.
Bruiser Chong Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Am I the only one who prefers the Cubs' blue "alternate" jerseys to these ugly-ass grey ones they're wearing today? No, I've always liked the blue ones, as well, but then again, blue's my favorite color. I think the grey ones are just too dull, while the blue ones simply stand out.
Bruiser Chong Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 The Braves' intentionally walking Hollandsworth to get to Barrett backfires, as Barrett launches as three-run homer, making this one 7-1.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Its funny how Rivera can't pitch a 1-2-3 9th anymore if his life depended on it yet the Yankees overpaid again to keep him for another 2 years.
Bruiser Chong Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Un fuckin' believable. The game is lost already. Strong words from a supposed Yankee loyal. I guess anything can happen when you still have EIGHT innings to play, eh? I know you're all about never losing, but seriously, the way you immediately begin to shit on the Yanks everytime something doesn't go there way, is a bit bothersome. Clearly they should be tearing the competition up with that lineup, but you're way too critical of them when they make any mistakes. Why not lighten up? You may think of yourself as being loyal, but loyalty includes being behind your team when it's not all sunshine and roses. And while you've never abandoned them, you certainly throw in the towel at the first bump in the road.
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Yes, motherfucking Speier with back to back Ks with bases loaded. Jays still up.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 What's going to happen to Bubba Crosby when Kenny Lofton comes back ?
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Ligtenberg blows the save. Tie Game.
KingPK Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Geez....guy on 2nd in a one run game in the 9th, and the Sox have to depend on Dave McCarty and Mark Bellhorn? COME BACK NOMAR!!! EDIT: Ok, maybe Bellhorn isn't so bad
tpww7 Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 I wish I could SEE THE RED SOX GAME. Fuck NESN.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 (edited) Un fuckin' believable. The game is lost already. Strong words from a supposed Yankee loyal. I guess anything can happen when you still have EIGHT innings to play, eh? That wasn't exactly a well played game either. It will suffice, but no one in that line up should still be hitting under the Mendoza Line. Mussina looked brutal. Rivera still can't find the 1-2-3 inning. Our second basemen suck. Besides blind faith, I had no reason to think they would turn it around. The team has averaged something like 5 hits and three runs in this homestand. They got no hit for four innings by Paul Abbott in Tampa. And you act like I've shitted on a team that made minor mistakes but played well all around. They've been tripping over themselves for two weeks. Edited April 11, 2004 by Anglesault
Kahran Ramsus Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Jays strand the bases loaded in the 10th. I have a very bad feeling about this.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 No, Kahran, we must think positive. You just got a double play. And you're out of the jam.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Bobby Jones comes in to pitch and I bet he gives up 3 walks and a dinger. This guy shouldn't be on the team
