Markme123 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 I figure I can't connect my TV to my computer (like Scott Keith does!) without a) spending money on some gadget to add on b) getting a better computer. I have a Gateway w/ Celeron processor but is there a way to use my TV as a computer moniter of sorts. I remember my teacher hooking the two togther and us seeing the internet on the classroom Zenith. How did she do it?
Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted April 5, 2004 You need a device called a Scan Converter, they can be had for under $100, but on anything smaller than a 27" TV, text and stuff are really unreadable. Mostly useful for playing computer games, or maybe using your computer as a DVD player or something like that... for general computing use, it sucks. Buy a 14" CRT monitor. You can also buy a video card that has the TV out, but if your computer is that old it's probably not worth uprgading the card. If you buy the seperate device, you could use it on future computers with better graphics cards.
