Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Q and A April 4, 2004 I’ve received a ton of good questions. Keep those brief and to the point questions coming. Q: If you would have finished College and didn’t become a wrestler what sort of job would you have now? A: I would most likely be an accountant. I know that sounds odd but that is what I was going to be. I was always a numbers guy. Q: Do they have backstage catering in Japan, and if so what is it like? A: There was never any catering at shows when I worked in Japan. Japan wrestling isn’t TV based so you don’t have the long days at the building like we do here for RAW and SD, so they didn’t need to cater the events. Q: Where in the world are the worst drivers? A: By far the worst drivers I’ve ever seen were in Lebanon. They didn’t seem to have any traffic laws at all. New Jersey is bad, and for some reason women drive ridiculously fast in and around Detroit. Q: Have you ever been constantly called the wrong name by Higher-ups, and if so did you let it slide? A: Back when Jericho and I were in SMW Bob Caudell used to always call me Jericho, while calling our tag matches. After Jericho got hurt he called me Jericho 4 times during a single match. After seeing the match back I phoned Jimmy Cornette and asked, “Could you possibly have your announcers call me by the wrong name less than 4 times in 1 match please.” That was the last TV Bob worked for us. Q: Can you conceive being involved in an angle that involves your family? A: Not my real family no; they are not part of this business nor will they be. Q: Do you ever request a specific ref? A: I haven’t but I know guys who have. I think Jericho and Christian requested Tim White for their Mania match. Tim is awesome. Q: How much longer do you plan to wrestle? A: I really have no idea. I’ve always said I wanted to be done before I was 40 and I still plan to stick to that. It’s just a question of how much before 40. Q: Why the Half Crab as your finisher? A: When I went to WCW I had two unique moves I could really choose from. The stuff Piledriver I was using in WCW and the Half Crab. My first match in WCW was against Disco, I asked him which he would rather take and he said the crab. I used it for so long it became established so I stuck with it. Q: What are some of the best matches you’ve had over your career? A: Boy I will likely skip a few but here are some of my favourites off the top of my head: Storm - Hiro Yamamoto (Tenzan) CWA Catch 1993 Storm & Yasuroaka - Liger & Samuria WAR IJ Tag Title victory Storm - Candito ECW “As Good as it Gets” Storm - Lynn ECW Anarchy Rulez Impact Players - Jado & Geto ECW Arena Storm - Terry Funk WCW Amarillo, TX Storm - Edge WWE Summer Slam PPV Q: Would you rather be a heel or a face? A: I am likely more comfortable as a heel, yet I find being a face easier. I like them both unless I am in a tag. I don’t like being part of a face team. Heel teams are much better. Q: Did you ever get the stink face? A: Unfortunately I have, it's not a pleasant experience. Q: Do you ever worry about the security of your job? A: I used to all the time. I am at a point in my life were I could survive financially without, so I don’t have to worry anymore. Q: Do you get recognised a lot out in public? A: I don’t go out in public much, but yes I do. At home fortunately fans are pretty laid back and polite so other than a handshake and a pleasant hello, I don’t get bothered much. Q: Are you as close with Jericho as you were in the early days? A: We don’t spend nearly as much time together, but I would say we are as close. I consider him a very good friend. Q: Why, Calgary, and not another city? A: I’m not sure if you mean for where I live or were I get announced from. I live in Calgary for two reasons. I love it here and my wife’s family is here. I announce myself from here because this is the place where Lance Storm was born/created. Q: What is the favourite Country you’ve been to? A: This is a tough one. Canada is obviously my favourite, as I would never want to live anywhere else. I found both Australia and Austria beautiful and would love to take my family to either place for vacation. Q: Is the WWE rooster too big to ever do away with the split brands? A: Most definitely. If you were to join the two talent pools there would be way too many people to feature on one show. If WWE were to reunite the split, there would have to be huge lay offs. Q: How do you find time to hit the gym on the road? A: A lot of times this isn’t easy. You have to make it your first priority on the road. You gear the whole day around hitting the gym before the show. You just have to judge the time required for food, travel, and the gym, and get up as early as you have to. Till next week, keep those Q’s coming. Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Not bad. I find it terrible that someone with as much natural charisma as Lance Storm could've been an accountant.
Guest Nanks Report post Posted April 5, 2004 Two of the funniest guys I know are accountants, one of them has the hottest girlfriend I've ever met, it's a crap stereotype. God, I must be bored to post that...
Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Wasn't D-lo an accountant?
thuganomics 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 Actually A. J. Connors was an accountant. Most people don't use there wrestling names when working their day jobs... I find it sad that they're turning Venis heel now after breaking them up. Will this be the return of Storm and Chief Morley?

God, I must be bored to post that... Not that I said anything about women, although it was probably subconcious thought, but you're right, I was stereotyping there. I apologise.
