Guest reshad974 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 How they can't see MONEY in that is beyond me ! Instead, we will get another triple threat match..........
Guest Corino 1000 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Indeed the Backlash card is the same exact thing as the wrestlemania match!!!
Guest Goodear Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Yes, but I can sort of see why if there are no plans to turn Michaels heel. Putting him face-to-face with Benoit in Canada would get a pretty good reaction to be true, but I think it might possibly hurt Shawn's heat elsewhere to have him really play up to the Bret stuff as heavily as would be required. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 I can't wait for the crowd to shit on Michaels again.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 But isn't there potential repurcussions of having their 'face' Michaels getting unbelievable heel heat in Canada? How are they going to fake that he's a face, or even a tweener, when his heel heat will outweigh HHH's?
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted April 6, 2004 How they can't see MONEY in that is beyond me ! Instead, we will get another triple threat match.......... Well for some reason they aren't even acknowledging that Benoit is even from Canada anymore, so I guess they could care less about your point.....
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 I can see them having Michaels superkick Benoit post-match next week, just to give him that little bit of a push. He's already going to get crucified by the crowd, might as well give 'em a reason.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Guess we'll have to listen to JR talk about how the crowd is divided right down the middle like he tried to say during the Hogan/Rock Wrestlemania bout.
The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Does that mean that a year later when they replay it, they'll pipe in HBK chants too?
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 QUOTE ( @ Apr 6 2004, 12:18 PM) I can see them having Michaels superkick Benoit post-match next week, just to give him that little bit of a push. He's already going to get crucified by the crowd, might as well give 'em a reason. I'm thinking that too. Shawn was being too goody goody last night to the guy who holds the belt he wants (I'm referring to a backstage skit where he was telling Benoit how awesome it was last week when he thought they won the tag belts, for those who didn't see RAW). Unless they're building it up that both guys are working together against Trips, only to have our least favorite water spitting shnozz come out on top and beat the odds. SinToxic 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 I think HHH losing twice to Shelton might alter the triple threat and produce another singles bout between the two. With that loss record no one should get a title shot, especially HHH.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Best thing that they could do ... have HBK go full on heel for the weeks leading up to the PPV, and have it be a huge face (Benoit) vs. a huge heel (Michaels) one-on-one in Canada. If Michaels doesn't want to work heel for long, have him do something to regain his face status the next night on Raw, or the next time that they're in the US. And how would they make it a one-on-one, you ask? Have HHH say that at this point, he wants to kick the crap out of Benjamin more than he wants the title. It won't do much to elevate the belt, but it will elevate Benjamin's stock. (the need to fight him outweighs the need for the belt) And I think a few months of very good-to-great matches will do a good job of elevating the belt just fine. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Remember when everyone thought Shawn couldn't even step foot at No Way Out 03? Remember his reaction by th end of his run in? Yeah.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Remember his reaction by the end of his run in? Yeah. That's because they always turn Jericho heel on his home soil just to force fans to cheer HB, which I find to be incredibly lame.

(no offense to anyone here) They boo the hell out of him the second he comes in....then after beating up Jericho, they cheer him like hes God. And I'm still laughing at JR's WM X-8 comments for Rock/Hogan. (Crowd heavily chanting Hogan) This crowd is divided bah gawd slobberknocker barbeque sauce stone cold stone cold stone cold! I don't EVER remember the Canadian fans cheering HBK like he was God. After Jericho insulted the Canadian fans, the crowd seemed to die. It was kind of stupid for WWE to expect the fans to cheer HBK for ANY reason. And how is calling Canadian fans "idiots" supposed to NOT offend someone? It would have been stupid to turn him face for that show.
