Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted April 10, 2004 It seems its been several years since either brand of the WWE as a whole has been without a central senior on-air heel boss. Its getting pretty boring. As well as it can work sometimes, I think this methodology that WWE goes with actually harms them. It seems to me that whenever they want to 'elevate' someone they seem to take the easy route by having them argue/feud/interact with said big bad heel boss instead of doing the obvious things like character development. So, a simple poll - would taking away the heel boss' aid or hinder: a) the quality of the shows b) character development ?
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2004 No, simply because taking time (which is significant) away from a non-wrestler would, in turn, give more time to actual wrestlers.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 11, 2004 This role can be great - when done right, like it was in the late 90s. When it's done wrong, it can be vicious. Think back to late 2003 - this character was putting himself in feuds, and that included one with his daughter. We're obviously not going to get a different one apart from who I am talking about, but we've all seen what he can do, but I don't have enough faith in him to trust that taht's what he will do. DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2004 I was almost expecting to see a thread about the Boss (man, is he big!). I think that while the heel boss is not necessarily old, the ways that they humiliate them are. God help me if Stone Cold! Stone Cold~! Stone Cold! comes back and makes Bischoff his bitch. Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 11, 2004 Yes, I was also expecting a Big Boss Man thread until I read closer. DerangedHermit, I think that you're exactly right there. Well, at least all of the memorable material was used up for a memorable feud.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted April 11, 2004 The evil boss is over. Kill it and let it die. Vince would do the boss bit, turn face, heel, face, heel whenever they ran out of ideas. They need someone who will play to both sides. The evil boss is boring and too predictable.

I'll admit that I would interested in that gimmick again - once again, if it was done right, and I actually think that it can be.
