Lesnar objecting to beating Misterio?

I need some help, guys. I seem to recall something floating around the Internet a while ago about Lesnar objecting to beating Misterio in front of his home town crowd. Can anyone please give me details here?

I don't remember that. I do recall the match. It was non-title and, had Mysterio won, he would have earned a title shot for the following week.

 

Hard to imagine Mysterio beating Lesnar, hometown or not.

Yeah, I know. Still I'm pretty certain it happened, because it's not that often WWE wrestlers object to going over each other. Do you know how Lesnar won? It may have been something or other about Lesnar feeling he shouldn't make Rey tap in front of this home crowd, if that can juggle any memories:-)

Yep he won with the 'brock lock', his newly unleashed version of the stretch muffler, looking particulaly devastating on Mysterio, although Brock didn't use it that much afterwards....

Thanks, guys. The date appears to have been 12/10-03 but as it wasn't a big thing, I'm hard pressed to find any quotes on the "incident". Thing is, I'm in an argument with a guy who keeps insisting that Angle and Lesnar "held Big Show down" and I wanted to show him that Lesnar isn't quite the HHH he has him pegged for...

Held Big Show down? How many times did he beat Brock, clean or otherwise, on TV? Who ended Brock's undefeated streak? Who was Brock facing when the ring collapsed following a superplex?

 

If anything, Show has Brock to thank for how hard he was pushed last year.

From what I recall, Brock was a little "Maybe we shouldn't have me pulverize Rey so much" but I don't think he ever said he didn't want to lose to Rey in his hometown.

Lesnar wanted to put over mysterio in his some town of San Diego, he thought it was the ring thing to do. That what the rumor floating around was.

He used it to beat Chris Benoit in their SD! Main Event match, however I cannot recall him using it after that.

 

Seems like forever ago.

Thanks for the help everyone, I should perhaps mention that the guy in question got his "information" that Angle and Lesnar were "holding TBS down" through that pillar of credible news, rajah.com. I tried reasoning with him but he kept on insisting that TBS is a better wrestler than Lesnar and has been unfairly treated. After he then insulted me, a couple of my friends and everyone else on the board disagreeing with him (i.e. everybody), I caved and gave him the flaming he deserved. Now, I'm no fan of being randomly mean to people but this guy really had it coming and as flamings go, this one might have been my best yet. I'd re-post it but it is, alas, in Norwegian...
