Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 In the matches at today's Champion Carnival at Korakuen Hall in Japan, Kaz Hayashi surprisingly beat Arashi with an armbar, Jamal also upset Keiji Muto with a splash off the top and Satoshi Kojima pinned Taiyo Kea with a lariat. Credit: WrestlingObserver.com --- Sorry, I really don't follow puro, but... Is this is the same Jamal that was released from the WWE? If so, is Muto on PCP?
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Jamal does a big splash off the top rope...it must be him. WHAT THE FUCK!!?! AQnd this marks maybe my 4th post EVER in the Puro folder.
Lightning Flik Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Maybe this is like my third here, but even I've got to admit that's not right. Jamal beats MUTO??? WTF?
Guest Black Tiger Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Mutoh has some weird love for Jamal. The only direct loss the guy has had was a count out.
Guest Coffey Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 I've always like Jamal too. I thought he was better than Rosey anyway.

Tawren Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 What can anybody say, Mutoh is an idiot. He is trying to make Jamal the new Vader, but Jamal sucks far too violently. The push of terrible gaijins is one of the reasons AJPW is in dire straits right now.
tekcop Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Well Jamal's ring work is better than Muto's right now anyways.

I think Mutoh has the McMahon Hoss thing going on. I mean look at a lot of the gaijin he's brought in. Jamal, Bucannon, Malice, Mike Awesome and Kronik they all fit that Hoss mold. Or else Zero-One has such a monoply on gaijin it's all he can get.
Guest Black Tiger Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 its not their size (although that may be a factor) but its more their former WWE status. D'Lo, Buchanan, Jamal, Justin Credible, Mike Awesome, Kronick, all at one time or another were with WWE.

It's funny that Mutoh recognizes that, but doesn't realize that all of them (except for DLO) were miserable failures in the WWE.

I'd say Brian Adams/Crush had a little success in WWF despite not really holding any titles. He was probably one of the top babyfaces of 1993, had a pretty good feud with Savage, and was part of Demolition...OK, that was a bad example. I think though his WWF stuff is better than what he did in WCW, but thats just me.

thuganomics Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Buchanan was pretty good in and after OVW; I'm still pissed that we never got to see more of him as B2. Jamal's push in Japan comes as little surprise to me.
