Damaramu 0 Report post Posted April 16, 2004 Alright so I'm having this little trouble with getting a File Sharing program. See this computer isn't mine. I don't have my own. I use my parents computer. And they're kind of ignorant to the internet and such. So they hear on the news "Oh file sharing is illegal! People will go to jail! Oh and most of your viruses come through them to!" So they freak out and delete the program off the computer and tell me that I'm never to download another one. So then I come to them with the idea of a "Pay Per Download" service or even a "Subscription Service". They say that since I'm paying that it's ok if I download it. Now I need to find one of said services. So does anyone know some good ones with tons of songs? I have some pretty weird song ideas so I need one with a wide range. My mom is going to look at them all and decide which one she wants on "her computer". Jesus I wish my job paid more. But so far the front runner is Kazaalite. Don't download any common music with Kazaa or its variations, there is a good chance that it'll be corrupt or fake, plus the nasty monitoring shit the RIAA and friends does on it. I download small files occasionally with KazaaLite Resurection but if its more than say 20,000 kb its too big of a file given my crappy 28k connection. If you have KazaaLite, and you have sharing turned off (like I and millions others do), you should be fine. There are enough people using the program overseas to support the world even if everyone in America disabled file sharing. Also, since you tend to download, burn and delete, you should also be fine.
