LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Did SD resign Flutie? Yep Then Brees is probably gone. Flutie can stick around to groom Rivers.
Guest OctoberBlood Report post Posted April 24, 2004 EA's updated their Madden site, so here are the first three picks: #1: Eli Manning LOL @ DeLawrence Grant (I think that's #99). EDIT: Erm, they updated the picture. N/M.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 You know, if the Giants struggle or a supplement draft is held, can't the Chargers still grab Mike Williams as well? If Williams is allowed back in the NCAA and the Giants suck in the NFC EAST then the Chargers could end up with Williams-LT-Rivers as the offensive weapons in 2005. Now that would be a damn improvement.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 So now the Lions have Roy Williams and Charlie Rodgers? DAMN
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Roy Williams and Charles Rogers. If they only had a running game.
KingPK 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Nice banana yellow suit on Roy Williams there. That kind of fashion statement is usually reserved for the NBA draft.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Holy shit. Roy Williams AND Charles Rogers? Nice.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Roy Williams and Charles Rogers. If they only had a running game. Plenty of running backs sitting on the board late that they can grab. The Lions are going to be dangerous this season.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 They can grab a RB in the 2nd round. The Pats won't pick one, the only other team that could grab a 1st round RB is Denver (IIRC). They could grab one of the top three RBs easy in 2nd round.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Falcons shoulda moved up and got Williams and Tampa may, supposedly, get an RB
KingPK 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 The Lions are going to be dangerous this season. Do they have a good defense? I'm not up on my Lions roster, but I don't think it was very good last year. Lions get the Browns 2nd rounder (4th, #37 overall), so they'll pick back-to-back. Perfect time to get a RB, I would assume.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Cleveland gave up their #2 to move up one spot?
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted April 24, 2004 uh, the Browns gave up thier second rounder to move up one spot? edit: I thought of it first! bps copies!!!
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Well so far Detroit and San Diego are the winners today.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 The Lions are going to be dangerous this season. Do they have a good defense? I'm not up on my Lions roster, but I don't think it was very good last year. It was actually solid at times but it lost lots of confidence because the offense wasn't scoring. And they will have back to back picks in the second round to grab a RB and either a CB or S to help them out. They have Boss Bailey at Linebacker to build around on defense. I think they are going to be in the playoff hunt and one draft from winning their division.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 The GMs are throwing around extra picks like they're candy this year. At least get a third or fourth rounder back in that.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Phillip Rivers

Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Buffalo Didn't Pittsburgh take a QB last year? No. They've been rumored to be using a 1st on one for a couple years now...but haven't. Actually, I just checked last year's picks, and Pittsburgh did infact take a QB. They took Brian St Pierre from Boston College in the 6th round, 163rd pick overall. Dunno if he's any good or not. The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Falcons take the obvious I think. Good pick.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Good pick for Atlanta. Their secondary is atrocious.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Excellent pick, they bring in a Vick teammate and fix up that secondary. Also, the Lions wide out core is now Roy Williams, Charlie Rodgers, Tai Streets, Az-zaihr Hakim and Scotty Anderson. That is some damn speed for a WR core. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2004 Guess the Jags will grab Will Smith from Ohio State or trade out of the pick. I'd think trade out but unless it's Buffalo or Pittsburgh, I can't see who would want to move up to grab Big Ben.
