EA's updated their Madden site, so here are the first three picks:

#1: Eli Manning

LOL @ DeLawrence Grant (I think that's #99).

EDIT: Erm, they updated the picture. N/M.

You know, if the Giants struggle or a supplement draft is held, can't the Chargers still grab Mike Williams as well?

If Williams is allowed back in the NCAA and the Giants suck in the NFC EAST then the Chargers could end up with Williams-LT-Rivers as the offensive weapons in 2005.

Now that would be a damn improvement.

Which team do you think is going to trade up to get Roethlisberger, Buffalo or Pittsburgh?

Pittsburgh. I think Buffalo will hang back and grab J.P

Roy Williams and Charles Rogers.

If they only had a running game.

Plenty of running backs sitting on the board late that they can grab.

The Lions are going to be dangerous this season.

and Tampa may, supposedly, get an RB

Do they have a good defense? I'm not up on my Lions roster, but I don't think it was very good last year.

Lions get the Browns 2nd rounder (4th, #37 overall), so they'll pick back-to-back. Perfect time to get a RB, I would assume.

It was actually solid at times but it lost lots of confidence because the offense wasn't scoring.

And they will have back to back picks in the second round to grab a RB and either a CB or S to help them out.

They have Boss Bailey at Linebacker to build around on defense. I think they are going to be in the playoff hunt and one draft from winning their division.

oh, I forgot the Browns put Butch Davis in charge of everything. That couldn't possibly go wrong...

Buffalo

Didn't Pittsburgh take a QB last year?

No.

They've been rumored to be using a 1st on one for a couple years now...but haven't.

Actually, I just checked last year's picks, and Pittsburgh did infact take a QB.

They took Brian St Pierre from Boston College in the 6th round, 163rd pick overall.

Dunno if he's any good or not.

Excellent pick, they bring in a Vick teammate and fix up that secondary.

Also, the Lions wide out core is now Roy Williams, Charlie Rodgers, Tai Streets, Az-zaihr Hakim and Scotty Anderson. That is some damn speed for a WR core.

On an unrelated note, I just read about this.

Larry Fitzgerald on the cover of NCAA Football 2005.

Story from EASports.com

FITZGERALD IS FINALLY COVERED

Electronic Arts announced today that former University of Pittsburgh Panthers wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald will appear on the cover of the newest iteration of EA SPORTS™ best-selling college football franchise, NCAA® Football 2005. Fitzgerald is entering the NFL after two record-breaking seasons at University of Pittsburgh and his image will appear on all of the game’s packaging and merchandising.

“It’s a huge honor to represent NCAA Football 2005, since this is the game my teammates and I always competed on in the dorms,” said Fitzgerald. “To grace the cover of the most intense and exciting college football videogame is a dream come true for me. I am fired up to be part of the EA SPORTS family.”

NCAA Football 2005 is all about home field advantage this season, where, for the first time in football videogames, gameday atmosphere directly impacts players’ on-field performances. With the new match-up stick you can track the crowd’s impact on your players to see if they can withstand the pressure and find key personnel mismatches. NCAA Football 2005 is scheduled to ship in July on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft, and the Nintendo GameCube™.

Guess the Jags will grab Will Smith from Ohio State or trade out of the pick. I'd think trade out but unless it's Buffalo or Pittsburgh, I can't see who would want to move up to grab Big Ben.
