Guest Askewniverse Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 I'm not trying to be an ass, but there's a pinned topic at the top of this folder for things like this. Taken directly from that topic: Shoot The Messenger - program that stops Messenger Service spam.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 The picture didn't work, but Deon, if you're referring to those Messenger Service pop-ups, I now use a program called STOPzilla! (you have to pay for it, obviously) - haven't had a pop-up since the day it was activated.
the max Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 Forum search works remarkably well, too. http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...ndows+messenger That thread worked for me yesterday when I needed it.

MrRant Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 You don't have to pay to stop the Messenger Service pop up. It take 5 seconds to turn off.
Insane Bump Machine Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 yes, you don't even need any kind of program for it if you use Win2k or WinXP. It's possible to turn the message service off by hand with a couple of clicks.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 Yes, but it's not just Messenger Service - STOPzilla! keeps other things at bay also.
