RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 I wouldn't call it great either, but it was the past few Raws have really been justifying me sticking with them through all the crap, this one included. Everything is flowing really well, I didn't think once that I had to force myself to watch it (of course, I skipped through some stuff like Cade/Tajiri, the womens match, and the Kane squash ) and they made Benoit look strong for the first time. The main event was horrible and Flair needs to stop wrestling, but it advanced an angle that could go places so I let that slide. Benjamin (who I expected to come down at the end), Edge, Benoit, Michaels and HHH all in the big picture - I like that. Lots of guys circling around the top means fresh matches and more variety and possibilities. That's a good thing. Ortons promo was rocking as was Edges - Edge knows he has to get more anger in his voice and he delivered the intensity. They also used the HBK win-on-RAW, which I think is a bit late to carry any significant meaning, but that was an issue that needed to be resolved and I'm glad they brought it up. HHH was used well also as he put some significance on the Benoit/Michaels match in 2 weeks.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 And I am split on the new Japanese character they're bringing in and an a mark for people getting hit in the groin. The crowd chanting "Eugene" had me on the floor. Oh... TOMKO!!!!!!!!!!! NOT a successful businessman but a generic bodyguard! WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?!
