Guest assblaster Report post Posted April 25, 2004 I'M BACK! BACK IN BLACK! OR A NAVY BLUE AS IT WERE... At long last, AT LONG LAST. I Assblaster, aka Azzblaster and Lord Azzington, have returned to the hallowed halls of the wrestling forums each and every single last one of you hold dear, that being The Smart Marks forums at the smarkmarks.com of course. I have been gone since August of 2003 when I was uncermoniously banned from these forums for crimes that I did not commit. I had been waitng to return for the longest time and I think it goes without saying that the feeling is mutual. To those of whom who remember my coffee cup token appearances here as Azzblaster and Lord Azzington last spring/summer, your wait for me to make my spectacular return to these forums has come to a conclusion. No more crying, no more tears, your hero has arrived. He has arrived. I have arrived. Azzblaster has arrived. And before I get going, I'd just like to GET SOMETHING STRAIGHT OF THE BAT. I'm not like your typical smark here in that I don't just join the bandwagon or flock of sheep and follow the Smark Sheepherders like most of you sheep do. I've been reading these forums while I was away and I must say that I'm not pleased. You all seem to share the same brain, which is atypical for the flock of smarks. Some examples I see here if you please... - HAHA! TRIPLE H HOLDS DOWN EVERYTHING, EVEN THE SUN FROM RISING~!!! HA HA HA! - LOLZ, HOSSES!! I USED THE WORD HOSS IN MY SENTENCES! ME DID THE FUNNY~!!11!! - GRRR! SCREW THAT WWE FOR HOLDING DOWN MY NIGHT AND SHINING ARMOR PAUL LONDON! WWE IS STUPID BECAUSE EVERY MAIN EVENT ON SMACKDOWN IN 2004 SHOULD HAVE BEEN PAUL LONDON VS. SPANKY!!! ARGH!! - TOMKO AND FERTIG! LETS TALK ABOUT TOMKO AND FERTIG FOR 1004598890 POSTS BECAUSE IT'S SO FUNNY TO SAY TOMKO AND FERTIG! I rest case. Now let's talk about The Basham Brothers. Basham Brothers Most Boring Team In WWE History? Not including jobbers, I can't think of any team more boring than this duo in the history of WWE. Talk about vanilla, they should rename their team Bland and Blander. They look like Powerplant guys on WCW Saturday Night, not "WWE SUPERSTARS". I can't believe they even had the tag team belts, that really shows you how far the tag team division has fallen when two minor leaguers had it for as long as they did. It's like Disorderly Conduct of WCW Saturday Night fame had won the titles. Their look is so generic, their moves are incredibly dull. I can't see how anyone can find these guys the least bit interesting. There is like nothing at all to them to latch onto, they are the worst Tag Team and top 5 dullest performers in the WWE. I cringe everytime they come out. I'm not exaggerating these guys are really that painful for me to watch. I think I can take bad wrestling over boring wrestling any day like these guys. Now Shaniqua's getting sent down to Ohio Valley Wrestling. Might as well send them down to because at least she got some reaction because people want to see her get beat up whereas you can hear a pindrop when they make there entrance. Also, how are they even employed whereas the likes of Buff Bagwell, Juventud Guerrera and several others better than them are on the indy scene? In conclusion, The Bashams are so damn bland and boring, WWE might as well sign The Blockhead Twins from Gumby because it's the same thing. THE FINAL FLUSH And that is all for today's editorial. If you think I'm just going to fade away from here, you got another thing coming COMPADRE! You better learn to love me cause I'm gonna be here a while. There needs to be some law, order and justice in regards to the many smarks who just like to crowd around and pick on the usual suspects that they like to insult, and I think I'm the one for the job. I'm going to defend the hosses, Buff Bagwell's, Lex Luger's, Sable's and Ultimate Warriors of the world, among many people and concepts. They shouldn't be treated as badly as they are treated by jaded smarks and someone needs to come to their rescue and LAY THE SMACKETHDOWN when I see fit because what they are doing is wrong. Your days of belittling and trashing them have to and end, as you won't be getting away with anymore. Look forward to seeing more from me. THE END

Scroby 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 I would say High Engery actually. Not the Owen Hart/Koko B Ware team, they were ok to say the least. The Jim "The Anvil" Nighthart and Koko B. Ware team.
Jericho2000Mark 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 As boring as the Bashams are(and they ARE boring), they are nothing compared to Jindrak & Cade. At least The Bashams had a gimmick(not a good one, but better than being a couple of "blue chippers"), and their arsenal was a little more than JUST Dropkicks and Crossbodies. I can honestly say I have never heard an audible reaction for Jindrak & Cade, other than that one time they mentioned the "Fighting Men and Women in Iraq" a few months back...and that shouldn't even count. I suppose the Bashams are the most boring active team.

I suppose the Bashams are the most boring active team. I beg to differ... At least, for about 30 minutes, the Vanilla Jobber Connection was interesting. That 30 minutes being when they stole the bounty money from Randy Orton. Anyway, back to the Bashams, it's a shame they're so boring, since I've heard great things about them in OVW. However, in WWE, I've just never been interested in them. The only time I saw them was when they were at No Merc... wait, scratch that, I didn't see them live. I went to get a soda while thier match was on and came back after it ended.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 25, 2004 What gimmick did the Bashams have? Their valet was the only one with one, and even with a dominatrix gimmick, she was as boring and lacking in personality as they were. If Jindrak and Cade had have been used right, that would have been good, because their athletic ability allows them to be entertaining, but the Bashams are just SO fucking tedious. deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 I was far more bored with the X-Pac/Road Dogg and Goodfather/Bull Buchanan teams.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 25, 2004 The Bashams are easily the most boring tag team I've seen in the company since I started watching seven and a half years ago. They're worse than Jindrak and Cade because J and C could be bothered to come up with a decent finisher.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 25, 2004 Hey, the Bashams had a double-team finisher! The Russian leg-sweep clothesline.

deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 (edited) The Bashams are easily the most boring tag team I've seen in the company since I started watching seven and a half years ago. Even more boring than Kronik? Edit: Anglesault, why not create a topic called "teams better than the Bashams" and see how many you can come up with? Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted April 25, 2004 Hey, the Bashams had a double-team finisher! The Russian leg-sweep clothesline. 'decent' finisher. Oh, ok. I hope that you noted the sarcasm in there aswell. And what did Cade and Jindrak have? I can't even remember. Well, if your double-team finisher isn't as over as the 3-D, you're finished. Even more boring than Kronik? Kronik had some moves that looked painful and a good finisher. Anglesault, why not create a topic called "teams better than the Bashams" and see how many you can come up with? Why would I create a topic just to list every other tag team I've seen? deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 What about these teams? They were more boring than the Bashams. Mideon and Viscera Kurrgan and Golga Big Bossman and Prince Albert
Guest jm29195 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 And what did Cade and Jindrak have? I can't even remember. That would be the spike drop kick, the opponent is on Jindrak's shoulders ala doomsday device and Cade dropkicks him off.... I reckon you could put forward a good case for:- Bossman and Bull Buchanan Harris bros as DOA Godwinns Bossman and Mr Perfect from early 2002 all being worse than the Bashams, at least the Bashams have had decent matches against los Guerreros, and maybe Angle and Benoit- they've still got time to improve.... Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 25, 2004 No they weren't. Especially Bossman and Albert, which was a fairly underrated team. Bad matches aren't the same as boring matches. All three teams you mentioned brought SOMETHING interesting to the table, be it strength, power moves or THE POWER OF FAT~! Each had some kind of distinguishng characteristic. Guest jm29195 Report post Posted April 25, 2004 No they weren't Ok then, name me one decent match that DOA, Bossman/Bullchanan were in that compares to the Bashams/Los Guerreros match from earlier this year...

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted April 25, 2004 No they weren't Ok then, name me one decent match that DOA, Bossman/Bullchanan were in that compares to the Bashams/Los Guerreros match from earlier this year... Pick any one. The match you mentioned is one of the more overrated matches I've seen in a while. It seems to get some residual praise from the heel turn that followed. The Basham's didn't suddenly stop wrestling the most generic match on earth for that one match.
