John Carroll = GONE~

Recommended Posts

Guest JohnnySwift

I've read in the Boston Herald (article here) that in addition to Westphal, Danny Ainge has been talking to Jeff Hornacek, Avery Johnson, and some others. Just personal bias I'd love to see what Hornacek could do with the team. Maybe he'd get Stockton to come on as an assistant. Probably not, but I can dream.

As for John Carroll being gone, I don't really care. I was big on the O'Brein bandwagon ever since Pittino left and the C's started playing +500 ball. Once he resigned I knew Carroll wouldn't be in long.

We'll see what happens next season when Raef comes back for 30 games.

I think Hornacek or Stockton are the next logical choice for Utah. Sloan's getting up there age wise and his wife is battling cancer for a second time. As much as it would make me sad to see Sloan leave, his family take preference over basketball.

The problem is that the cultlike mentality of us Jazz fans is that we'll be totally harsh on anyone who comes to replace Sloan. Bringing in a beloved vet would appease us. I'd take Horn any day as coach, but I just wonder how brilliant Stockton would be.
