Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 All the news provided by Dave Scherer - Raw did a 4.0 rating(4.0,4.1 overrun 4.6) up from the 3.8 the show had done the previous 3 weeks - Heat got a 0.9 rating, Velocity 0.7 rating and Confidential a 0.6 rating - Undertaker is backstage at Smackdown and will finally appear on the show to set up his match with Booker T at Judgment Day. Heyman is backstage as well. - Ernie Ladd was backstage and gave a speech to both locker rooms. Management did not like the one he gave on Raw but found the Smackdown one moving. - Rey Mysterio is also at Smackdown and is scheduled to appear on Velocity. (Note: Meltzer said that there were plans for a RVD/Rey vs. Dudlye Boyz match on Smackdown, Comment: I personally wouldn't be surprised if they set up that match for the PPV)

Guest Banders Kennany Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Ernie Ladd is the Big Cat! He's an old legend with an impressive football background. He was one of the sport's earliest big African-American stars.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 28, 2004 So does Kurt return now? I still stay milk the injury and give him the surgery he needs...Have Heyman as an Interim General Manager...which allows him to be on tv but forces him to tip-toe around the rules as opposed to just knocking down the general conventions like he used to...thus making him more enjoyable and slimey. Guest JMA Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Wasn't Ladd also the first black heel (or one of the first)? I remember reading that somewhere...

(Note: Meltzer said that there were plans for a RVD/Rey vs. Dudlye Boyz match on Smackdown, Comment: I personally wouldn't be surprised if they set up that match for the PPV) I would. That might actually be some sensible booking. *takes away your Smart Marks card* Some of you wouldn't believe the places you can get into with that card... EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 More WWE Notes: Dudleys, Bradshaw, Gates, More Even more WWE news items... - The Dudleys got strong heel heat at the house shows over the weekend and most in the company are happy with how they are doing as heels. - Many are still upset and frustrated backstage over the push of John Bradshaw Layfield. The general feeling continues to be that he won't be able to draw PPV buys and everyone knows it but nobody will say anything since Vince McMahon is behind his push. - The 4/24 SD! house show in Tulsa drew a bit over 4,000 for a $100,000 gate. The 4/25 show drew a bit under 4,000 paid for a $120,000 gate. - WWE has sent a cease and desist letter to AWA Stars concerning how they recently advertised that they could book matches between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan. Mole 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 The thing about SCSA is that enough people know him as Steve Austin, so he could use that name too.
Ultra Violence 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 RVD and Mysterio would make an interesting tag team. or WWE could actually significantly raise the Judgement Day buyrate by changing the main event to JBL / The Dudleys w/Paul Heyman vs Eddie, RVD and Rey I'd have Eddie lay out JBL and hit the frogsplah... but suddenly RVD would hit a vanterminator on him with Heyman holding the chair. Then RVD would place JBL ontop of Eddie for the pin. Heyman would raise Rob's arm and RVD would be over as the top smackdown heel. Then a Heyman stable of RVD and the dudleys could give someone for all the faces to face whereas with the current situation there are hardly any over heels on Smackdown.
