Guest slacklet Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=2169&p=1 WWE RAW ZONE BEATS NFL DRAFT IN CABLE RANKINGS The rankings for the top programs on basic cable for the week of April 19th-April 25th were released today, and the second hour of Raw (listed as "WWE Raw Zone" in the rankings) came in first with a 3.2 rating. The show was seen in 3.5 million homes according to Nielsen Media Research. The NFL Draft on ESPN came in second with a 3.1 rating. Rounding out the WWE presence on the list, the first hour of Raw (listed as "WWE Raw" in the rankings) came in seventh for the week (behind the NFL draft, two episodes of Fairly Odd Parents, the Lakers-Houston NBA playoff game, and Punk'd), with a 2.9 rating and reaching 3.1 million homes. Nice.
TheBigSwigg Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 We really do need a daily WWE news thread. I keep seeing these posts and think there might be something important in them.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Im sure that the 3.1 for the draft is an average of the whole 8 hours as a whole, which means that there were probably ten times more people watching it during the first round then the last round on saturday. I can only imagine the "Our draft had better ratings than the NFL draft" line that we'll get..
Guest MD2020 Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 So they beat a program where a guy walked up to a podium and read names? Congrats.
Lightning Flik Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 (edited) The first hour of RAW was beat out by Fairly Odd Parents?! The first hour of RAW was beat out by a CARTOON? TWO SHOWS OF A CARTOON? ...damn. That's just really, really, sad. Edited April 30, 2004 by Lightning Flik
TheBigSwigg Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 The first hour of RAW was beat out by Fairly Odd Parents?! The first hour of RAW was beat out by a CARTOON? TWO SHOWS OF A CARTOON? ...damn. That's just really, really, sad. That happens almost every week. It used to be SpongeBob, but now it's Fairly Odd Parents. Behold, the Power of Cartoons!
Guest Goodear Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 That happens almost every week. It used to be SpongeBob, but now it's Fairly Odd Parents. And before that it was Rugrats. Nik generally has something like 7 of the top 10 rated cable shows during a week.
