AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 ChrisMWaters kinda started a similar thread--this could have gone in there. Well, this is kinda cawthon's thing, but I'll bite. I remember nothing else about the 1999 PPV but the Owen incident. Nothing on that card seems to remotely ring a bell except for the Gunn/Road Dogg feud. It was the day after my birthday, too... I don't even remember Mr. America vs. Piper happening. Some one told me it actually happened on another message board, but I have no memory of it.
Guest drdrainoscott Report post Posted April 30, 2004 I feel like I should know this one, but on Beware of Dog 2, there were only three matches? Wouldn't that be a ripoff for the live crowd?
Only The Strong Survive 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 I think that had something to do with the power failing during the original PPV. All of the matches that were on the second PPV were the ones that happened in the dark during the first pay-per-view, if memory serves me correctly. Yes, that is a rip-off for the live crowd, but maybe they honored tickets to the first show. Then again, they were at two different places so that seems unlikely as well. Slickster 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Yeah, they just did the whole PPV card for the house show crowd; they just had more of the faces win on the non-televised version. Oh, and the rest of the show was lit by battery-powered spotlights and nothing more.
