I reckon vs Candido from ECW As Good as it gets, though his matches against Candido from Heatwave 98, against Jerry Lynn from Anarchy Rulz 99 and with RVD against Sabu and Candido were also pretty ace...
Guest Choken One Posted May 2, 2004 Report Posted May 2, 2004 Easily the Booker T Match on Nitro that hit ***3/4 It was the only real significant match of his career. #2 Would be the Edge Match at SS2001 that hit ***3/4 as well. Other then that, this supposedly great worker doesn't have a wide selection of "classic" matches...he did have some decent *** matches in EcW but none stood out enough for me to remember...I guess Lynn Match at Anarchy was pretty memorable as the rest of that card just sucked.
Guest jm29195 Posted May 2, 2004 Report Posted May 2, 2004 Oh yeah I forgot about the Edge one at Summerslam, I didn't get Raw at that time, was his match against Rock for the WCW title on Raw the next night any good? I've never seen any of Storm's work in WCW, I didn't get any wrestling tv until 2002, only the ppvs.... btw Anarchy Rulz was decent enough for ECW in 1999 the International 3 way was ok and the Awesome/Tanaka/Tax m,atch rocked imo

tekcop Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 I haven't watched too many Storm matches but Storm/Venis vs. The Dudleys the week before WMXX was pretty swanktacular. Venis and Storm did a lot a neat things to keep the match interesting during the long face in peril section and the Dudleys actually wrestled instead of resorting to their stale crowd-popping spots. I'd give it about ***1/2 stars.
