Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Imo the guy is one of the most underrated US workers of his time. I've heard people call him the American El Samurai and I'm inclined to agree. Some of his best matches I can think of include: vs. Lightning Kid (?/?/91) vs. Wild Pegasus (Benoit) (Japan, not sure of the date) vs. Tajiri (Cyberslam 99) vs. Lance Storm (Anarchy Rulz 99) vs. Psychosis vs. AJ Styles vs. Low Ki (?/?/02) vs. Low Ki vs. AJ Styles (8/7/02) vs. Low Ki vs. AJ Styles (ladder match 8/28/02) vs. Juventud Guerrera (TNA, not sure of the date) w/ Red vs. XXX (again, not sure of date, sorry)

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2004 That's funny, because I liked the Lynn/RVD matches when they were happening, but I look back at them and I hate them. They're all the same, and the only differences are in how RVD beats Jerry Lynn (usually Five Star Splash, but once it was a Van Terminator). My favorite TNA match to date is Skipper/Daniels vs. Lynn/Red vs. Cross/Sharky vs. Storm/Sabin, ****1/2 by my watch, so there's one match to add. Let's not forget Lynn's awesome Summer Series with Credible in 1998 ECW.
Guest Chasing Dogma Report post Posted May 4, 2004 I for one love the Credible Vs Lynn 2 Out of 3 Fall’s, I think it was from Matter of Respect, but I loved the match. Same can be said for AJ Styles Vs Jerry Lynn from one of the RoH Show’s, I thought that was a pretty decent encounter, In fact that kept me entertained. Whilst I also recommend from ECW, Jerry Lynn Vs Steve corino from Heatwave 2000! Its awesome, It has to be seen to believed IMO. I haven’t seen that much of TNA and Lynn match’s, But one I’m always going to remember is Low Ki Vs Styles Vs Lynn Vs Psychosis, I Thought that match was an amazing, Wrestling/Spot Fest match up and that’s what the X Division was all about. Now I reflect on his match ups with Rob Van Dam, I really do look upon them as being Spot fest’s yet they are good, some times I just feel that they are overrated. Guest Jimbo Report post Posted May 4, 2004 Pretty much every match he ever had against Rob Van Dam, except for perhaps the one that they had on Heat, during the start of the WCW/ECW Invasion. Ugh, I can't stand those matches. They all started the same with a crazy bacvcka and forth mat wrestling exchange, then RVD would get out of the ring, taunt Lynn and the crowd for 40 minutes and finally get back in the ring. Then you had 10 more minutes of big spots...rest perdio...big spot...bigger rest period....biggest spot...biggest rest period, and then RVD would win. BOOOORRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG. Sure, the spots were cool and maybe when you first watch one it'll be exciting, but after 2 or 3, or watching the same match a second time, you will grow to bitterly hate them. They're good to chop up for those desire vids, but that's about it.
Betty Houle 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2004 Imo the guy is one of the most underrated US workers of his time. I think he's one of the most overrated (by internet folk) US wrestlers. He's very athletic and quite talented but I hate his matches and don't think much of him as an overall performer.
