I will send Silvervision DVDs to the US

Recommended Posts

Guest Dazed

Okay, so SilverVision are offering a whole bunch of UK-exclusive DVDs, most notably old PPVs. I know there are quite a few of you in the US who would be interested in these DVDs, so what I propose is:

I'll order whatever it is you want, and send it out to you, pretty much wherever in the world. I'm not sure about postage costs, so I'll look into those, but I don't intend to make any profit from this - the cost will be just the price of the DVD plus a small amount for postage.

So if you would be interested, let me know how interested (i.e. want them more than you want sex with me, or might be interested or whatever), and how many you want. This is not a final deal or anything - you aren't commiting to anything, and neither am I. If this proves popular, then I'll look into postage costs.

Remember: These DVDs will be Region 2, and PAL. Find out in advance if they will work.

EDIT: Scroll down two posts to see what's available. Thanks to bravefan

To work out the cost in your currency, go to XE.com. A £15 DVD is approximately $26.62 US, $37 CA, and $38.44 AU

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking

*Yes!* PAL reigns supreme.

Hey Nik, if you're going to the trouble of doing this, then my interest level is probably the former.

What's the approximate U.S. price for each DVD set (excluding shipping, of course)?

I'd also be interested in picking up a few sets, too.

I believe they go for just around $30 USA at most places. I don't believe I've seen any of them going for less than £14.99 yet.

i am sure Silver Vision are wrong with saying the Mounite vs. Koko B Ware match is on, it wasnt released on the home video, and the DVDs are just exact copies of the old Coliseum videos

I really doubt the video quality ont hese are all that spectacular. I'd rather just wait for the day that WWE re-releases them all, or just locate the VHS tapes at a local video store, or even purchase them on eBay.

UK DVDs have a different region code. If you have a region-free player, or a DVD drive in your PC, there won't be a problem.

And i've found that most DVD players can be programmed for any region, look in the Computer forum on here and there is a thread on it (i started it if it helps)

Does anyone know if Silvervision has put back in everything they cut from the original VHS releases? I remember buying them all in the early 90s and alot of promos were removed and we are just left with the matches.. some clipped too.

I'm surprised they aren't releasing the first survivor Series' on DVD yet. They already have the first 4 WM's, first 2 Rumbles, first 2 SSlams coming out, and the first 2 KOTRs.

Silvervision never cut anything from videos, they released the same versions that were released in the U.S, so it was the WWF or Coliseum Video who edited them. The only video Silver Vision released which wasn't the same as the U.S. version was SummerSlam 88, as Silver Vision released an exact copy of the PPV version and the U.S. version was only 2 hours and edited

The WrestleMania 1 and 2 DVDs are only the 2 hour versions that were edited, thats why I am not buying them

The Survivor Series DVDs will probably be released next as they have been reclassified to be released again, but again the first 2 Survivor Series will only be the 2 hour edited versions

Hmm... according to Amazon.co.uk the discs are Region 0. So it should play no matter the DVD player you have.

Their still PAL and not NTSC so you need a player that converts.

They will play on an xbox.

I'll stand corrected then my friend. I was just under the impression that they were SilverVision cuts. Wrestlemania 1, 2 and 7 are the biggest offenders with cuts.. along with one or 2 Survivor Series. As for the full length Summerslam 88 video.. believe me, the extra hour is spent hyping the Leonard v Lalonde boxing match and not much else!

Guest EC!

I just checked the BBFC website and IYH 1&2, Battle Royale at the Royal Albert Hall, UK Rampage, Canadian Stampede and One Night Only have all been rated in the last few months. Now I get the old school UK pack and the IYH pack... but are we perhaps getting Canadian Stampede and One Night Only as a twosome?

Because wow if we are.

Question to anybody that owns any of these:

I'm assuming the "WWF" references are edited out too?
