Plus, he strikes me as a guy who'd play it like Roger Moore anyway. - Hugh Jackman is a possibility, except he's involved in a LOT of franchises right now, and may not want the added burdan. - Guy Pierce isn't physically intimidating enough. - Denzel is too American. There are a good number of good young fresh unknowns out there...try them out instead of grabbing some "known" name who might fit the "archetype" of what bond is supposed to be.
